Amy woke up. She looked around her room and sighed. No one was there. In her dream, she had seen Sonic The Hedgehog, Amy's all-time crush, kneeling down on one knee, holding out a ring with a rose on it. But he wasn't there. Amy, still in doubt, threw off her pink nightgown and threw on a puffy pink dress, much like a certain princess Amy had met months ago.
The doorbell to Amy's door rang. It was a short, sweet sound. Amy opened the door, only to find Sonic was there. Amy's heart raced like a human on a treadmill. Every time she saw Sonic, she could not resist her love for him. Amy said sweetly, "Oh, hi Sonic!" She threw her arms around the blue hedgehog.
He sighed and said, "Amy, please keep your love at a distance. You know we're just friends." Amy was tired of hearing the dreaded words "just friends." Their relationship was more than friends, and Amy knew it. But so he wouldn't get angrier, she unraveled her arms. Sonic, after finally getting a chance to speak, said, "Amy, come to the front. We have bad news."
Bad news? The kingdom was a happy place. It couldn't be too bad, right? Sonic walked downstairs, Amy following. The front of the kingdom had a huge throne for the soon to be king, Sonic. He grabbed a megaphone and said, "Everyone, King Doctor Robotnik is-" Angry yells from the audience erupted. Sonic sighed and said, "Please listen." The yells stopped.
"Now, as I was saying, it's not too bad. We're not being attacked, like with missiles, bombs, whatever." They all sighed. "But it's still a threat," Sonic went on, "He's going to disable all defenses we have in the kingdom. Such as lasers, traps, and so on." The same angry yells erupted again. Sonic had it this time, he yelled "LISTEN!"
Even Amy stayed quiet. When Sonic was angry, it sent everyone into a silence. No one dared to get on his bad side. After his speech, Amy returned to her room and thought it over. Their castle lasers and traps would be inactive and they would be exposed to danger. What would Amy do? After hours, she finally came to her conclusion. She would fight for the kingdom.
Even if it meant her life, she would fight. Instantly, she ran to her closet and pulled out the uniform she'd worn for the meeting at the castle's basement 7 months ago. It fit her perfectly. It consisted of a black jacket with a pink tie, and a pink skirt. She then flipped open a laptop, and found the database of Doctor Robotnik's kingdom. She was ready to begin.
"Come on, lasers, lasers…" Amy was trying to locate where the lasers were. If they were trying to disable the kingdom's lasers, she wouldn't tolerate that. Suddenly, she found where the lasers were: there was a fake entrance to the castle, and lasers were hooked up onto the walls to prevent the people of Amy's kingdom from coming in.
After zooming into the lasers, she flipped the switch "ACTIVATE LASERS FOR INTRUDERS" to "OFF." Amy's work wasn't done yet. She tried locating her second location: the traps. To her despair, however, the traps were disabled due to no intruders. Only one spot wasn't disabled: the trap door in the front if the people of Amy's kingdom had managed to get past the lasers.
She found the database, and flipped the switch "ACTIVATE TRAP DOOR FOR INTRUDERS" to "OFF." Amy's work was done. She closed her laptop, threw off her worker uniform and back into her puffy pink dress. Sonic couldn't know about this. Amy wanted to surprise him, and not with a romantic surprise. The doorbell rang again. Amy opened the door.
However, Sonic was not there. Rather, a tray of tea and macaroons were being rolled into the room. But no one was pushing it. The kingdom had a way of transporting trays to rooms without having to push it. Amy took the tray, and thought about how Sonic would feel about how Amy had hacked into the database. Just thinking about it made Amy feel better.
Soon, it was about 4 PM. The doorbell rang again. It was Sonic. Amy, feeling bad about hugging him last time, kept a distance. "Good," he said. "We've got good news this time. Come downstairs." Sonic had found out. Sure enough, to her surprise, Sonic had the news about Robotnik's lasers and traps being disabled.
Later, it was 8 PM. Sonic came into her room, and talked about his announcement about the traps being disabled. He asked who did it. Amy swallowed, and said, "I did." Sonic's eyes went wide. "How did you do it? He said." Amy told him about how she did it, and Sonic left the room that night, with surprisingly a new interest in Amy.
