Ruby mumbled to herself as she stumbled through the shrubs of the Forever Falls. This was the last time she'd take Prof Peach's requests for more sap. She should've said no after the last time, when they found out she was actually using it for a sort of syrup for her pancakes. She sighed, stepping forward and looking around. Nothing but tall, red-topped trees and blood-red grass as far as the eye could see.

She swore, the only reason she agreed to go to this second sap trip was for Yang not to flunk the course. Prof Peach was a nice woman until you managed to piss her off. Then, it'd just be heck in a handbasket. Ruby'd gotten split from the group by around 20 creeps that had just charged and pushed her over this way. She'd managed to kill almost all of them by the time she found herself Gods-only-knew where.

The girl called out "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiss! Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!?" as she walked around, "Oh, come on, you gals! Where are you!?"

She swore, if she found Yang, she'd dip her hair into some of the sap for even getting them into this mess. She sighed, shaking her head, before she made it into a clearing. A really big clearing. Her silver eyes were met by something rather large and green charging her. She squinted, not sure what to believe, really, before the realization struck her. A hulking mass of green, black and metal was charging her. She immediately powered on her Semblance, dashing out of the way with a yelp as the monster reached where she was, skidding to an absolute halt and staring at the trail of petals just as Ruby landed.

Panting, the girl yelled out "HEY, DUDE, I'M NOT REALLY IN THE MOOD FOR-..." And she cut herself off, eyes growing wide as she stared at a hulking mass of bone and muscle covered by green skin, a ramshackle set of armor and with a strange robotic claw of some kind attached to its left arm. Its right had a mounted machine-gun rocket launcher combo and it also wore a strange helmet with two horns peering off the side and a jaw plate resembling its sharpened teeth.

Oh, yeah, it was five times her size.

"Oh... Hi..." She whimpered, her face morphed into a crooked smile that denoted the absolute fear she currently stared at her foe with. The massive monster, clad in plate armor and with weapons basically welded onto its body, stared at her with two pearly, blood-red eyes, bearing its fangs at the girl. She heard mumbling behind her and turned to see a whole horde of the things sat in the clearing, glaring at her.

"... Stand back, boyz! I gotz a git az small as this'un!" Their seeming leader stated, laughing as he glared at Ruby, "No matterz she wearin' red! She ain't fast 'nuff ta get away from me!"

Ruby looked back to the man and stammered, "WAITWAIT! I DON'T WANNA FIGHT RIGHT NOW! I've got enough on my plate as it is with my sis and everything, I don't need this right no-WOAHNO!" She once again used her semblance, dodging out of the way of the charging creature as it clawed at her. She brought out and extended Crescent Rose, ready to use her to ditch this place. These guys were sentient. No real reason to try and kill them, plus, she just wanted to get back home.

"I'm serious! I don't wanna fight!" She said.

"Who'z ya anyway, ya git! Whatz ya doin' in our turf!? Ain't nobodyz makin' it inta an' off our turf alive! Not even dem black fingz!" The big man-thing demanded, glaring at Ruby. It opened fire with its arm-mounted gun, forcing Ruby to dodge multiple bullets by way of her Semblance again. She'd have kindly answered she was just lost and looking for a way out, but, at this point, she realized it'd be useless.

She turned back, then jumped onto Crescent Rose and fired it, utilizing the Recoil and her Aura to get the heck outta dodge at high speed while hopefully scaring off the big burly guy trying to kill her. Seriously, this felt familiar for some reason. Too familiar, almost like something similar happened somewhere else. She swore to herself for the first time since she was a kid as she skidded to a halt in front of a massive cliff face.

"Oh, no..." She whimpered, turning around as the thunder of steps came. The monster barreled through the trees, smashing those that were in its path to smithereens before stopping at the treeline. It roared at her, staring her down while she sat there with a heart-rate enough to be legally considered a Machine Gun. Then again, she also had a Machine Gun pointed at her face that probably fired bullets thrice Crescent Rose's size and that was mounted on the monster's arm.

"You'z a runner, ain't'cha?" The creature seemed to mimic an exaggerated grin, "Well, 'z no more runnin' for yaz!"

"Seriously! I just wanna find my friends!" Ruby yelled at it, "What the heck did I do to you!?"

"You'z a 'umie! Da's what!" It shot back. Wait.

"You aren't..." Huh, she hadn't even had time to think about the possibility of these fellas not even being humans. She could ask what the heck they were when she was probably gonna die, however. Because she was running low on Aura due to overusing her Semblance at this point. And if the big fellow was smart, he could use his machine gun or rocket to end her.

... He wasn't, though.

He charged Ruby and the girl found just barely enough Aura. She jumped out of the way, utilizing a combo of her own powers and Crescent Rose to bounce out of the way. The big fellow slammed face-first into the wall with enough speed and force to crack the rock face hard. It collapsed and Ruby could swear she'd heard it mutter "Oh, Zog." Before it planted its face into the dirt.

She chuckled, then said "Well, at least I'm still fast." before turning to look at the rest of the, admittedly, smaller ones around, all of them staring with wide, fearful eyes at her. One of them murmured, "She gotz da boss... 'ow'd she get da boss?" with surprise to his friends. She hummed, took a step forward and stumbled. Looking down, she saw a big, sharp fang sitting stuck, sharp-end first into the ground. She raised a brow, took a knee and pulled the fang, nerve and all, out of the ground, before turning to the big fellow that was RKO on the floor.

He was missing his right tooth... Somehow...

"... Oh." She looked at the tooth in her hand, then started toward the creature. Her self-preservation instinct kicked in just as the thing started awake again. It stood to its feet, head spinning, before it turned to face the girl and mumbled something. It slammed itself on the top of its head with its arm claw, then glared at Ruby. The girl grew even paler than the tooth, which was twice as thick as her forearm and just as long, in her hand as she watched it slowly take in its surroundings again.

It looked down, eyes locking onto the tooth, before it poked a claw at its mouth and gasped. It roared then, "Oi! YA GOTZ MY TOOF! 'OW, YA BLOODY 'UMIE!?"

"... Uh..." Ruby whimpered again, "Y-Ya lost it when ya slammed into the rocks behind you."

"... Ya did dis..." It growled, looking back at the it-sized indent left in the cracking rock face. It turned its attention back to Ruby, picking at the stump of the broken tooth with its claw-finger. It mumbled, "Ya did dis... And youz didn't even haz ta kill me for me toof. You'z a cunnin' one."

A smaller creature, clad in just an armor vest and wielding a battle-ax and pistol that looked just as ramshackle as its chieftain's augmentations, approached and whispered, "Uhh... Boss... Wot we'z gon' do 'bout 'er. She'z in our turf after all."

"Be quiet, ya git." It snapped back, "I'z thinkin'..." And it gave Ruby a once-over with its bloodshot red eyes, "You'z wearin' red as well, and iz very fast for a 'umie... You'z wearin red, you'z fast and you'z got dat big bangin' dakka..." It jabbed its own gun toward Crescent Rose, which was still in Ruby's free hand, "Hmm... Dakka'z also red..." A lot of gears seemed to be turning in its primordial brain.

"Uh... Boss?" The creature to its right started again.

Big boy hummed, frowning, then said "I'z no longa ya boss, boyz."

Several "WOTS" echoed from the group that'd gathered around them. It nodded at them, seemingly grinning proudly, bearing all its teeth, including the missing stump of the one she had, then said rather self-assuredly "Ya'z lookin' at this wee 'umie git and tellz me she ain't as orky as the rest of us! She's a cunnin' one! A Brutally cunnin' one, tho, like Mork! She'z gotz me toof through connivin' an' stuff!"

"Woah." A few of them voiced.

"Boss'z roight..." Another stated.

"She'z brutally cunnin'!" Voiced its seeming twin.

"Uh... I was just dodging..." Ruby chuckled awkwardly, "Really, that we even wound up in this situation's a bit of luck."

"You'z got a name, 'umie?" It asked, completely ignoring her statements. She saw all eyes fall on her now, from each and every side, including the somehow-present, yellow-painted ramshackle vehicles to her left. When the heck did they even bring those in?! She stared into the eyes of the big monster, their Clan Leader, presumably, then swallowed empty.

"... R-Ruby... Ruby Rose?" She forced a smile.

The creature nodded approvingly, then stated "Well, there'z ya haz it, boyz! Yer new Warboss! WARBOSS ROZE! BRUTALLY CUNNIN' LIKE GOOD OLE' MORK!" before roaring a proud, loud and terrifying "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" that shook Ruby to her core. He really was a loud guy, wasn't he?

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Chorused its comrades, raising high their battle-axes, ramshackle guns and kit and firing them up into the sky in celebration. Oh, God, oh, God, ohgod what had Ruby gotten herself into? She saw the big fellow stomp up to her before it lifted her with its claw. Ruby half-expected to be cut in half by the thing, but she'd been so gently picked up that she was slightly surprised to find herself sat on the creature's back.

"Uh..." Ruby took pause, looking at the creatures, then asking "Uh... Fellas? One question."

"Go ahead, Boss!" Stated the big fellow.

"... What... Exactly... Are you?" She asked.

"Haha!" it laughed "Very funny, Boss! We'z Orkz!"

"'Orkz'...?" She stared, fearful.

"Ye! We'z da biggest, meanest an' greenest!" It stated. Right, Ruby was having a fever dream at this point and nobody could convince her otherwise. She hummed, looking around at the band of creatures, probably numbering in the hundreds and with their own vehicles in the place. Ruby held onto the horns of the leading creature's helmet as her mind raced to process everything, before it hit her like the big fellow hit the wall.

SHE WAS THEIR BOSS!?

"Oh..." She paused, smiling awkwardly, "And... I'm your boss? What's that mean?"

"Well, ya'z beat me fair'n'squarez, boss, so ye! You'z da boss now!" Nodded the big ork, "We'z got one question too, tho."

"... Sure?"

"Wotz dis planet called?"

"Uh... Remnant..." She stated... "Did you guys meet tall animal creatures with like... Black fur and stuff?"

"Ye. We killed'em. Whole lotta dem too. Dey waz runnin' tho, haha!" The Ork Chieftain stated proudly, "Now, where'z ta on Remnant, boss? We'z needin' direction to go on our WAAAAAAGH!" as it shifted slightly, walking forward through the crowd of cheering orks. Yeah, no, Ruby felt like this wasn't normal for this bunch. Especially since it literally stated they hated humans. It did, right?

"I kinda have to find my friends first. We got separated by a bunch of those same creatures." She said awkwardly.

"Oh... You'z got a klan already, boss?" It asked they stepped forward. Ruby nodded, looking back as the horde started moving with her and her new mode of transportation. She felt awkward, riding on the back of what she assumed was either an alien or a new monster to torment Remnant with. How did something so big and burly, that disliked humans, even agree to the fact she'd won? And she didn't even win fair and square. She was trying to avoid the fight.

"If you mean a team, yeah..." She nodded.

"We'z gotz ta meet them then. Which way?"

Ruby jabbed a finger toward the direction she'd come from. The Ork immediately took to following her direction as she sat atop him, moving at relatively decent speed. Even with the other boyz following behind, they were traversing pretty quickly through the terrain. The few knocked-down trees across the way clearly weren't happy about it, though. The girl sighed, feeling her heart rate finally drop to some acceptable rate. She looked down at the Orks' former boss and asked "Hey. You got a name?"

"Me, boss? Why'z it matterz?" He asked, mimicking the confusion of a human face, again, overly-exaggerated.

"I like to know the new friends I make along the way, I guess." Ruby chuckled awkwardly.

It took the big Ork a few seconds to process what was said, before it wore a wide, toothy grin and said with a proud and pompous bit to his voice and broken english "I'z Skarrippa, boss. Youz'z enforsa now that I ain't boss no morez. If y'need sum gitz beaten down, or someun'z makin troublez, imma deal with'em. I'z basically ya best friend in the patch, to uze 'umie termz."

"Nice to meet you, Skarrippa." She smiled at him, despite him being damn near ready to kill her a few minutes ago. She hummed, then asked "Is it tradition that if someone beats you in a fight, even the way I did, that you get them as a Warboss? 'Cuz it seems a bit odd for someone, especially a Human like me, to be elected Warboss on the idea of me winning like... This."

"Uzually, ye. We'z gotz dis big fing about strength'n'whatnot." Skarrippa explained, "But Gork'n'Mork would be disappointed in uz's if'n'we didn'take people as brutally cunnin' as yaz."

"Gork and Mork?" She raised a brow.

"Biggest, meanest Orkz eva. Da boyz who made us who we iz todayz." He answered, "We'z fightin' proppa WAAAAGHS! 'cuz of'em"

"Oh..." So basically their deities. Ruby didn't wanna make a comment to offend them. She listened in as she heard gunfire ahead, noticing how several Orks were already prepping for battle. Listening intently, she heard the unmistakable sound of Ember Celica going off, followed by the hissing slash-stabs of Myrtenaster, as well as the crack-snap of Gambol Shroud's pistol form. She beamed, then said "We found them!"

... In the clearing, as the corpses of Grimm dissipated around them, the WBY of team RWBY pummeled the creatures in search for their Team Lead. Yang had fire burning scarlet in her eyes as she pummeled and plowed through the lot of them. Yang swore to herself, then said "If you bastards touched even a strand of my sis's hair, I swear I'm gonna find whatever hole you crawled out of and I'm gonna BLOW IT APART!"

"Easy, Yang. Ruby's fine..." Weiss stated half-heartedly, "She is our team leader after all."

"She's right." Blake stated, gutting the bipedal creature known as a Creep with Gambol Shroud's scythe-pistol form. "Wait..." Her cat ears perked up from behind her bow as she heard a battle cry that reverberated across the place, "What is that?!" She balked. Turning, the other two saw a horde of green, humanoid, hunchback creatures surging forward, ramshackle axes raised as they slammed into the side of the Grimm Horde. A Machine-Gun roared and two missiles struck into the horde of monsters with high-ex strength as the biggest of the creatures roared and killed its way into the clearing.

Atop it, riding piggyback, was Ruby.

"... Oh my god..." Weiss murmured, eyes wide

Blake whimpered, "What!?"

And Yang was stifling a laugh, both of dumbfounded surprise and of absolute, pants-wetting fear as she stared at her sister riding the creature like it was a pony. Ruby turned to face them, then beamed happily, jumping off the big one's back and rushing to hug her sister. The big ol' ork turned to the girls too, then grinned, nodding to Yang before charging the Grimm with his comrades.

"Ruby..." Yang started, her face stuck in a perpetual smile of disbelief, "What in the hell are these guys?"

"... They called themselves Orks." Ruby laughed awkwardly, "And I'm apparently their new boss!"

"... Excusemewhat" Blake and Weiss both said at the same time, staring at their lead, disregarding the slaughter initiated by the Green-skinned creatures against the creatures of Grimm. Ruby looked to all of them, then started explaining slowly what had happened since they last saw each-other. The whole ordeal with fighting the big fella, Skarrippa, and how she came to be Warboss.

She even showed her sister and friends the tooth.

After the fighting was done, the three girls, friends with Ruby, watched as the former Warboss of the gang approached them. He spoke, exactly like Ruby had said, like someone with a problem, "Oi. Ya gitz the Warboss'z Klan?"

"Uh... Yeah... Hi..." Yang waved, an awkward look on her face, "Nice to meet you... I'm her sister, Yang..."

"Weiss... Her combat partner..." The white-haired Heiress stared disbelievingly at the creature.

"Blake... Yang's combat partner..." The black-haired catgirl stated, pale as bone.

The creature smirked, "I'z Skarrippa... I'z ya friend too, now."

... Oh, boy.
