Nora wakes up in the early hours of the morning to the rude surprise of a sore throat and achey ears. She'd only been asleep for a few hours after defeating raiders that were attacking Oberland Station, since MacCready was with Nora on that mission and he got wounded, Curie was attending to his wounds. Everyone else within Sanctuary is fast asleep, the sun is just beginning to rise and the crops of muttfruit, corn, tatos and melons were growing strong, hardy and big.
The various robots that Nora created were beginning to do their morning chores, things from gardening, to managing some of the stores to defending the Sanctuary from Feral dogs and raiders.
Dogmeat, noticing that his mistress was awake, jumps on the bed and snuggles up with Nora. Nora sits up on the bed and grabs a nearby water canteen and takes a few sips of water as Dogmeat uses her as his personal pillow.
Nora tries to make herself more comfortable as Curie enters the bedroom, Finally finished tending to MacCready's wounds that needed a few sutures. Curie changes into clean clothes and notices Nora is awake.
Nora not really being in the mood to talk, rolls over pushing Dogmeat off of the bed. She tries with all of her might to go back to sleep. Dogmeat sneaks away outside into one of the many Kennels around Sanctuary. Curie goes and takes herself to another bed and takes a well needed rest.
They both wake up later to the sound of Nora coughing, Nora's eyes watering in the process. It must have hurt pretty badly because Nora was almost in tears. Curie gives her some water and begs Nora to let her examine her.
Nora reluctantly agrees and allows Curie to look at her throat and ears, check her temperature and give her some medication to help with pain.
Curie notes that there is some inflammation around the left tonsil but no infection present. She'll do some more research later.
For the meantime, she gets Nora to keep her fluids up and rest around Sanctuary.
Nora not being very impressed, just mopes around on her bed and tries to get some more sleep.
Curie sits on the edge of the bed and rubs circles on her exposed back, the way Nora told her that she likes it. Occasionally Cogsworth comes in with warm compresses that help with pain that Nora allows Curie to put around her neck and ears.
When Nora finally gets some more sleep, she allows Curie to cuddle with her on the bed and they pet Dogmeat as he sits by their feet.
