Prologue:
Nick Wilde sat against the wall, In tears. All he dreamed about was wanting to be a junior ranger scout, but he had just been beaten, kicked out, and pushed just for who he was. All he wanted to do now was leave this forlorn and forsaken place and move to Finland. He wanted to live in the woods for the rest of his life, never to be seen again, maybe even learn the accordion. All hope was gone. He was broken. Maybe he would remain this way for the rest of his life. He tucked himself in a corner, hidden away from the rest of the world.
"Hey, you," another voice suddenly sounded, "you, the kid."
"Get away from me," Nick said, as he hid himself away even more.
"No, I'm here to help," the other voice said, "what's wrong? what happened?"
Nick then slowly looked up to see in front of him another young fox. This boy was a Fennec Fox, much smaller than him with large ears.
"The ranger scouts," Nick said, "I didn't do anything wrong, but they pushed my out just 'cause I'm a fox. Put this thing on my face," He picked up the muzzle off the ground.
"Oh, those fucking shits," the Fennec Fox responded, "Yeah I went to summer camp with them. They're such preps. Plus they legit think that Achy-Breaky Heart is a good song."
"Wait, did you just curse?" Nick asked, as his tears started to dry and a slight smile started to form on his face.
"Yeah, so?" asked the other child, "Do it all the time. Alright, now let's get you out of here."
The kid and Nick left the spot and walked back down the street.
"So," the other fox asked, "what is your name?"
"Nick," Nick replied, "Nick Wilde."
"Nice," replied the child, "My name is Scott Lewis Honeycutt, but please just call me Finnick."
Nick looked at Finnick like he finally found a friend.
"Third grade," Finnick said, "Sahara Elementary."
"Hey," Nick then said, "Also in third grade, Kettu Elementary."
"Great to meet you," Finnick said, "Where do you live?"
"Hadwen Apartments," Nick said, "Room 515. With my mother. Her name is Tarja."
"Alright," Finnick said, "let's get you back there, and we can tell her what happened, those fucking shits will get what is coming to them."
Nick started to smile slightly but could still hardly hold it together.
"And one more thing," Finnick said, "Never let anyone get to you."
It had seemed now that Nick had finally found a friend.
