AN:Hello everyone,this is part two of the canon rewrite of Naruto,as usual I own nothing,this arc will focus on the team rebuilding itself after part one,our hero will become more dark as time passes,but will still have a heart,only a few members of Kohona will find this to be true,anywho on with the show.
Naruto groaned while reaching for a blaring alarm clock,his eyes squinted in pain at the sudden noise entering his mind scape kami all mighty fuck me he thought with a dull ache to his mind,the blond had to readjust his thinking without having the light of his life around.
over the past week the teen had grown cold and indifferent to life around him,his eyes shadowed with a constant sadness while living without her,he had started to notice the way the village eyed him,now one of pity feh like they actually give a fuck,even some of the other teams are giving me looks now he noted with a dull laugh,a drained sake bottle laid on his nightstand in evidence of last night,the blond had took up drinking to sooth his mind and sleep,his emotions running wild at times he noted.
he groaned in protest at getting up,but eventually gather up himself and stood, albeit staggering from the looks of it,his feet felt heavy as the sun peaked over the tree tops of the village.he hissed in protest at the damned sun's rays,as if everything was fine.he barked out a bitter laugh at his over cynical thinking"welp let's get this show on the road" he spoke to no one.
The blond Jinchiriki arrived at Ichiraku's grill with minutes to spare,he looked around to notice the district was mostly dead save for a few drunks walking home from the bar as last call was over.he looked at his watch and sighed in wait,he ordered a large miso ramen with dull eyes,Ayame noticed his change in demeanor and frowned"uh...Naruto are you...ok"she asked in concerned voice,Ayame showing visible worry for her best customer.he looked at the teen waitress with a shocked expression damnit I let my true self slip out,crud he thought before trying to come up with a lie of sorts"oh yeah I'm ok...just trying to figure out what Kakashi has for us today,thank you for asking though"the blond plastered a fake smile to lighten the mood,to which she smiled as well"ok just checking,one miso large dad"the girl spoke while turning her head to the man in the kitchen.a man with beady eyes and a small smile poked his head out from behind the curtain and spoke"ok you got it,one large miso coming right up"he declared while popping back in the small kitchen,a curse was heard as the man stumbled over a box,the girl sweatdropped at his behavior.
Sasuke and Sakura both arrived right as she was walking into the back,they spotted their teammate sitting in the corner with a blank expression to his features.he had opted to wear a standard chunin flak jacket with a black mesh undershirt,dull grey cargo pants with black sandals completed his new look,they noted his often changing face with concern oh man, he's really out of it looks like Sasuke bitterly thought to himself as the blond teammate sat wringing his hands,Sakura noted his behavior with a slight frown he's not the same dude we grew up with it seems"heya Naruto,how you holding up"Sasuke spoke up, startling the blond Jinchiriki slightly.he flinched at their sudden appearance "oh hey y'all,what's up"he asked in a calm demeanor,his anxiety calming down substantially,Sasuke sighed while cutting to the chase"look man,I'm not gonna beat around the bush.tell us what's really going on,you've been more distant than usual,even for me"the Uchiha stated with a firm face,the blond looked at him with dark eyes and a sullen smile"you really wanna open that can of worms huh,can't blame ya but be warned,what I tell you here stays between us,this is a s class secret punishable by execution"the blond spoke in a grave matter to highlight the danger,the other two nodded in agreement, although nervous of what was to be discussed.the blond waited for them to sit next to him"Sasuke, normally I wouldn't ask this but set up a sound seal tag,you remember how to right"the blond asked in a hushed whisper to the loner Uchiha,the teens eyes widened at how serious the situation just became"but those...""kami damn you I know what that means but this is too sensitive for just anyone to hear, we're talking life or death if this gets back to that prick Sarutobi"the blond seethed while calming himself down,the other teen nodded and went to slap a small paper seal under the bar.he flinched as a lone kuni intercepted the tag and shredded it,the blond cursed under his breath and looked to see a lone man looking at them from above at a angle"well fuck,seems like my escort is watching better than Inu did that night it seems"he uttered under his breath ok this just got a whole lot worse,I didn't even detect him the blond thought while acting innocent,the other two sweatdropped at his faux acting.the man watching the trio vanished into thin air to report back to the Hokage,Naruto sighed and leaned back"goddamn that old man,can't shit without a Anbu nearby feels like"he uttered while leaning up to the bar with a flat expression"well to be honest we're lucky he didn't just haul you off to God knows where Naruto,you even mentioning this seems to be a safety issue for the village"Sakura spoke low as well,she wondered just how bad this situation was.
Sarutobi nodded at the unknown man clad in advanced Anbu armor,his face hidden by a blank mask"thank you shadow,report back to him and keep a eye out for anymore activity"the aged man spoke in a withdrawn voice,still not believing this cruel reality in which his village is under threat from within kami what did I do to...maybe we deserve this after all the aged Hokage thought with a sour face.he perked up at two people coming into his office unexpectedly"what's the meaning of this"he spoke up eyeing his former teammates,they nodded to him in curt nods to show their displeasure of his outburst"well greetings to you as well Hiruzen,I must say that your more on edge than usual it would seem"the old man Homura spoke with a dry tone to show his displeasure of the former teammates outburst.the aged Hokage nodded and sighed"I apologize for my rude behavior,things have been rough indeed,the Jinchiriki has begun to branch out to others close by him in hopes of gathering a following of sorts,I currently have a nin watching his every move with a sharp eye to make sure nothing erratic happens"the leader spoke in a cool tone to ease the tension in the room.Koharu spoke up next with a uneasy look to her features"wait you actually released the beast back unto the village, without consulting us beforehand"the older woman blurted out in shock at the mans actions,he nodded and rose to speak"your right to be concerned,but both me and Jiraiya sealed away the fox's input from the boys mind, therefore the Uzumaki is of no substantial threat against us"the man added with a smug look to his face.
Koharu and Homura both took on thinking looks to figure out the best response to the mans brazen action's"your lucky it's you Hiruzen that's handling this situation,a lesser man would have lost his nerve with such a undertaking of this severity,if he does break free I hope your prepared to deal with it by any means necessary"the elder man spoke up to make clear what was to be done in case things turned ugly.Hiruzen nodded in silent aggrement.
Naruto groaned while waiting on Kakashi to show his face,the trio had been sitting at the training ground for what seemed like hours.they had passed the time by doing light jogging and training but even that got old after a while they admitted. gods when he does show up the blond sighed inwardly at the bastards late streak,he was suddenly jolted aware by a lone kuni sailing towards his direction from the tree line,he smirked and jumped up to intercept while forming a back up plan.Kakashi appeared from the forest with his book out in standard fashion"you still got it Naru, alright you guys I need your attention on something serious,as you are aware Naruto is free but can not leave the village,per orders of the Hokage"they all perked up at his words,Naruto taken aback with shock at the news dear kami I'm stuck here for now it seems, fuckin' wonderful the blond blanched in his mind of the limited freedoms.Kakashi continued"but that doesn't mean no missions,you will be tasked with something special that isn't basic choirs or catching fuckin' cats,but rather wall duty, normally reserved for chunin"they all blinked in rapid succession at his words,even Naruto was surprised at the impromptu mission"how long will we doing this,'cause I need to train as well"the blond asked in a dull tone.the silver haired Jonin caught his face as it shifted to one of deep thinking oh so that's what his endgame is,huh might need to alert lord third of this the man thought with a blank expression.
"as it stands you three will rotate a eight hour shift Monday to Friday,with the weekends off to rest,I'll be in charge of the top post during the day,with Izumo and Kotetsu grabbing night shift in the watch tower,the tower itself has small personal rooms to stay in during off time,along with a training room,we start tomorrow morning at seven sharp"the man answered with a eye smile,to which the blond nodded with a blank face,the other two nodding as well in accordance.
team seven spent the reminder of that day practicing standard forms of chakra control,leaf splitting being the hardest one if the team was honest.Naruto set to work with two clones to slightly speed up his progress,Sasuke and Sakura sighed in annoyance at the blonds small upper hand in learning but refused to bitch about it.wow I'm surprised he can still make solid clones, especially after what lord third did a while back,but if we keep him under check it should be ok,plus Shadow is watching him closely the Jonin summed up with a small frown ,he hated that his own sensei's son was hellbent on destroying the village.
Sasuke progressed just slightly in cutting the leaf,his large chakra coils made it tougher to accurately pull small amounts without it backfiring.crud this is gonna take months to get right, especially with a constant mission on top the Uchiha blanched inwardly at his situation at hand,Sakura faired better in her progress .even shocking Kakashi with it,the leaf was cut halfway up in the span of two hours,sweat poured down the young girls face from the amount of work it took.oh hot damn she's a natural at quick learning it seems,she has showed great personal growth from when I first took them in the scarecrow nin thought with a large eye smile.
the team went their separate ways as the sky turned to dusk,Naruto waved good bye to his team and turned to walk to the Uchiha clan district,much to Sasuke's surprise"dobe what are you doing""I need a stiff drink and the nearest bar is close to your house"the blond teen answered with a small smirk.Sasuke paused to come up with a retort"well I don't drink so you'll be flying solo"the teen answered with a sigh damn dude drinks already,he really needs help the Uchiha thought with a sullen face."oi don't fuckin pity me teme,my demons won't let me sleep or otherwise I wouldn't even touch the stuff"the Jinchiriki barked out with a faux tickmark opon his forehead,the other simply stared at him with a new look,anger."your a chicken shit,hell I have night terrors too,do you see me drowning my sorrows in booze,no"the boy responded with a face of slight resentment.Naruto was taken aback by the sudden outburst before smiling"ya know something Uchiha,your alright"the blond spoke while continuing to walk to the bar.the other teen stood there and sulked before walking to his compound.
Naruto stumbled around the empty street ,his eyes bloodshot from the amount of alcohol consumption he had partaken in,the half moon almost non existent as the morning dawn peaked over the tree tops of Kohona.he cursed his luck of no sleep yet again,his eyes heavy with crust kami have pity and let get night shift today,I'm wreaked the blond weakly thought while stumbling over his feet towards his house.he made it to his doorstep before collapsing into a heap,he groaned as he felt the sun's rays hitting his clamy skin.
Tsume hummed to herself a small tune while walking towards the Hokage tower for a briefing with the leader,she still resented the senile bastard for taking away her son and would be damned if he lived in this village any longer,ready to uproot her entire clan in case things got ugly between the two.she walked closer to where Minato and Kushina lived with narrowed eyes,spotting the sleeping figure propped up against the doorframe haphazardly,she gasped at who it was oh kami no,what the fuck happened to him the elder woman panicked while running over to the downed boy,her eyes full of tears"Naruto,what happened,why are you like this"the woman asked in a rushed voice.she noted his sleep deprived eyes and sighed hotly kami he hasn't slept in days it looks like, Hiruzen I swear to kami she thought with fresh tears rolling down her cheeks,he hadn't even bothered telling her of the boys surprising release.
said man hummed to himself a small traditional tune as he waited for the Inuzuka clan head to arrive,what he hadn't counted on was her sudden appearance with a limp Naruto in her arms"what in the world,why is he with...""Hiruzen,I want answers,now goddamn you"a enraged Tsume roared with raw power towards the aged man sitting in his chair with a shocked look.he ordered everyone else out and slapped a seal tag onto his desk, creating a small chakra barrier,he puffed a few plumes of smoke out to gather himself"just what in kami's name happened"the elder barked out,the woman spat a small loogie towards the floor in sheer disrespect"I'm asking the questions here asshole,why was my boy released without letting me know, lucky he's tougher than most or he would have died from alcohol poisoning you senile bastard,I found him like this front of his parents house"the feral woman choked out with hot tears flying about,the man raised a hand to stop her rant.
AN:Hey everyone hope your having a good weekend,I'm back with the first chapter of the second arc of the series,this story is slowly coming about and will be in three parts total,thank you for staying with me this far,trust me my first few chapters are crud but I'm slowly getting the hang of this writing thing.
