"No way," I told him. I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"Roza, it's just a family night," He told me. I glared at him.

"Nope. I'm not going to do this." I told him. He sighed.

"Just this time," He told me and I huffed falling onto the chair. He got up and came in front of me kneeling. I didn't look at him, knowing that if I look at him I'll give up.

"Roza," He whispered taking my hands and kissing them softly. I still didn't look at him.

"Look at me," He told and I shook my head biting my lower lip trying so hard not to cry. I was on the edge of giving up, but I didn't want to. He sighed and touched my cheek with so much gentleness. Slowly making me look at him. I closed my eyes tightly two tears escaping my eyes.

"Oh my Roza," He whispered kissing my tears away. "Look at me," He whispered. I opened my eyes and whimpered.

"I can't do it. I don't want to," I told him. He picked me off from the chair and placed me on his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I don't want to," I whispered. He caressed my hair so gently.

"Yes, you do," He whispered and that's when I broke. Loud and painful sobs wracked through my body piercing me inside. I can't believe this, I, Rosemarie Hathaway, the guardian who's not afraid to kill strigoi, am so scared to meet my parents.

Yes, my parents. I've been having these crazy dreams about getting either one of them killed. And the best part is I'm the one who's killing them. No one knows about this except Dimitri. There were so many nights I woke up screaming and crying. Dimitri held me all the time, whispering sweet nothings to me.

Janine and Abe are here in the court these days. We've met a couple of times but I avoided them as possible. Everyone else, even them thought it's because of that awkward relationship I share with them but if I speak the truth I'm more than scared that I'll hurt them. And even if I want to talk to them I don't know how or at least how to begin.

"You know you want to Roza, it's okay to be scared, it's okay to feel vulnerable, just talk to them," He murmured.

"From where should I start Dimitri? None of them know much about me," I asked him. He hesitated for a bit.

"From the beginning," He told me and I nodded.

He helped me to pack my essentials. "Do I need to spend the night with them?" I asked him and he nodded.

"It's going to be a long talk Roza, just relax okay? Abe already knows that you're coming," I nodded.

"Are you sure being alone at night?" I asked him, once again breaking the silence. He chuckled and walked up to me. He cupped my face and softly kissed me. "I'll be fine, Roza. Come on, it's time to go," He told me.

"Why can't you come with me?" I asked him.

"Because it's about you and your family. And I'm not a part of that officially, yet," I groaned.

"I already let you put a ring on my hand comrade," I told him.

"And I can't wait to put another one," He told me as we exited our room.

Soon enough we came near their room. Yes, mom and Abe are sharing one room. I knocked it hoping that they're not middle of anything I don't want to see.

Two knocks door opened to reveal my father grinning at us.

"Ah! Little girl, come in. I must say Belikov I wasn't expecting you," He told.

"I'm aware of that sir," He told and I turned to kiss him.

"I love you," I whispered to his lips.

"I love you more," He told and gave me a forehead kiss.

"Good night Mr. Mazur," He told to Abe and he nodded.

"Come inside Kiz," He gestured the way.

"Where's mom?" I asked him.

"Kitchen," He replied.

Here goes nothing.
