A/N: So imma say this: Kushina probably befriended Kurama with how much time she had Kurama sealed in her. Here Naruto with the mixed op chakra will get all of Kurama instead of half of him. a lot of stuff won't make sense.

Chapter One: Prologue

It all started during the Kyuubi Attack.

A giant fox, who had light orange fur and red eyes and red slitted pupils, stood behind a man and a woman. "Minato, Kushina, that masked man's influence remains. WATCH OUT!" It spoke these words as one of his fingers lunged towards a baby laying on a pedestal. Before the claw-like nail could reach the baby, the two adults were impaled first.

The man who was now impaled had pitch-black hair, a green flak jacket, a white haori, decorated by flames motifs at the bottom, and the kanji for "Fourth Hokage" on the back. He had jaw-length bangs on both sides of his face and spiky hair. this man was Minato Namikaze, son of Madara Uchiha. (though nobody besides Minato and his wife knew the last part)

The woman in front of him had waist-length red hair with shoulder-length strands on both sides and a black clip on the left side of her face. She had violet eyes and was wearing a high collared, white sleeveless blouse. At her waist was half of the green long dress she normally wore. This woman was Kushina Uzumaki, wife of Minato Namikaze.

"This isn't good, I have to let Kurama know about Naruto's heritage." These were Minato's thoughts as he activated his Sharingan. His Sharingan began to warp and spin, eventually it became a triangle with comets coming out of the edges. "Tsukuyomi" Minato used his left eye's ability for the last time.

And there Kurama learned everything, from Minato being Madara's son and why Naruto's Sharingan needed to be blocked until he was ready.

"Kurama, I'm sure you know why you need to be sealed into my son. All I ask is that you take care of my son." Minato said this while coughing up blood.

"Yes. I promise to take care of him. I would've done that anyway." This was all that Kurama could say.

Minato used the dripping blood on his hand to summon a messenger toad. Minato told the toad to bring a paper to Kakashi. Now came the hard part.

Minato struggled to go through a set of hand signs, but he managed to finish them. The reaper showed up, and Minato commanded it.

The reaper had grabbed Kurama, who didn't resist at all. Kurama transformed into red chakra, and the reaper extracted the last bits of Minato and Kushina's chakra and pushed the hand with all the chakra on it into Naruto. Naruto's pitch-black hair turned dirty blonde. When the reaper removed his hand from Naruto, a seal had appeared on his stomach. "Kushina, if you have anything you want to say to him, say it now, since we're both dying." Minato told Kushina.

Kushina, barely alive, used all the strength she had left to give Naruto a speech, which Kurama would relay to Naruto later on.

"Naruto.. Don't be picky... Eat lots and grow strong... Make sure that you bathe every day and stay warm... Also.. Don't stay up late... You need lots of sleep... And make friends... You don't need a lot of friends... Just a few... Ones you can really, really trust... I wasn't very good at it, but keep up with your studies and practice your ninjutsu hard... Remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses... So don't get too depressed if you can't do something well... Respect your teachers and upperclassmen at the Academy... Oh, and this is important... It's about the Three Prohibitions for a shinobi... Be extra careful about lending and borrowing money... Put your mission wages into your savings account... No alcohol until you're twenty... Too much can ruin your health, so drink in moderation... Another Prohibition is women... I'm a woman, so I don't know too much about this but... All you need to remember is that this world is made up of men and women... So it's only natural to take an interest in girls... But just don't get hooked on bad women... Find someone who loves you back just as much as you love them... Speaking of the Three Prohibitions, be wary of Jiraiya Sensei, you know... Naruto, from now on, you're going to face lots of pain and hardship... Be true to yourself... Have a dream and have the confidence to make that dream come true.. There's so much... Oh, so much more that I want to pass on to you... I wish I could stay with you longer... I love you."

Just then, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was Minato's predecessor, arrived while both Minato and Kushina collapsed. Minato was already dead, while Kushina told Hiruzen something very important.

"His name... is Naruto." These were Kushina Uzumaki's last words as she took her last breath shortly after. Kakashi arrived and did something that shocked Hiruzen. He grabbed out two jars with liquids inside them. He then plucked out both of Minato's eyes and placed both of them into the jars.

"Kakashi! what is the meaning of this! Why are you taking your sensei's eyes?!" Hiruzen shouted this with an absurd amount of anger and killing intent.

Kakashi, who was too concentrated on securing and hiding Minato's eyes, simply replied with, "No time to explain. Here's why." He then gave Hiruzen the letter Minato had gave to him. What was in the letter shocked him.

To Kakashi, after reading this give it to Lord Third

My name is Minato Namikaze. I came to the Hidden Leaf Villiage 19 years ago under directions from my father, Madara Uchiha. If you are reading this, that means that I have made the hard decision of sealing the Kyuubi into my son, Naruto using the Reaper Death Seal. I'm going to use the seal to suppress the Sharingan. I ask only three things: that you preserve my eyes until Naruto awakens the Mangekyou Sharingan after he undoes the suppression, that you tell Naruto about his heritage and burden after he is old enough to understand, and that after that you let Naruto live in Kushina and I's house. This is the will of Minato Namikaze, Yondaime Hokage and son of Madara Uchiha. Please destroy this letter after reading it, as I don't want it in the wrong hands.

"Minato, I promise to fulfill these wishes of yours. Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Hiruzen went through a set of hand signs and destroyed the letter. And thus ends the tale of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, and the beginning of the tale of Naruto Uzumaki-Uchiha.
