Hi everyone! Welcome to my story. I hope you enjoy it. This is going to be a more casual story, I'm not sure how long or how often I will write, but I still hope you like it :)
This is kind of a spin on the Chat Blanc episode, but instead of Adrian getting akumatized, Marinette does. For context, Marinette is the guardian and doesn't know Chat Noir's identity. If I mess up the timeline of the episodes, just let me know in the reviews and I'll try to fix it. But other than that, please enjoy the first chapter!

Chapter 1: The Rise of Princess Justice
I told you that I would love you forever, Marinette thought to herself.
The rain trickled down Marinette's umbrella as she slowly made her way to the Agreste household. Her heartbeat to the rhythm of her footsteps: slow, agonizing, and heavy. It hurt to have to hold back the tears that threatened to fall at any given moment, but she forced herself to keep it in; besides, she's kept in worse (at least that's what she tells herself). Arriving at the huge mansion at the edge of the street, Marinette clutched her bag for support.
"Tikki, I don't know if I can do this," she cried in desperation. "But I know if I don't do this, Adrian will suffer because of me, and lose his family, and I can't let that happen… I-I love him too much, Tikki."
Tikki's eyes welled up with tears at the sight of Marinette in so much pain, "I'm so sorry Marinette. Both of you don't deserve this. But… maybe we'll figure something out."
Marinette lowered her hand into her purse to allow her kwami to hold it in an attempt to find some sort of comfort in it. Tikki nuzzled up against her palm, hoping to give her the strength she needed. She then clutched both of her hands on the umbrella that Adrian had lent her on his first day of school. Of course, Marinette wasn't ready to let go.
With an anxious buzz in her chest, she finally lifted her hand to ring the bell before the gate, forever separating the two desperate teens whose hearts burned for each other.
Almost immediately, the gates opened slowly to reveal Marinette's one true love hidden behind his large bodyguard. Out of shame and fear, she covered her face with the width of the umbrella, hoping that Adrian wouldn't be able to see through her lies.
"Marinette? What's wrong? Why won't you come in?" he questioned, clearly unaware of the current situation.
She took in a deep breath, "Adrien I-" she stumbled for a moment, before reminding herself what she had to do. "Forgive me… we're just not right for each other."
Adrian was shocked at her response, "What are you talking about? Of course we are. We love each other!" he said, hoping to change her mind.
When Marinette finally came to the realization that this was not enough, she knew that she would have to say something hurtful enough to break his heart. "No. I… don't love you anymore!"
The pain was unbearable, her voice cracked when she said she no longer loved him because she never believed it would be possible. Marinette knew that she couldn't stay without risking an apology or taking back what she said. So, she ran. It was what she believed she was good at now.
Now, her tears fogged her vision as she ran across the street to the train station. There was no going back. She just found her soulmate, and now, he's gone. It felt like her heart was being ripped to shreds. Without realizing it, she fell down, clutching her chest, praying the pain would stop.
"Marinette!"
She jolted at the sound of the familiar voice, "Adrian?"
In seconds, she saw her lover running towards her, but also a dark akuma coming her way. She knew it was coming for her. There was no time, and there was no stopping her emotions. Quickly, she removed her earrings, shoving them into her purse.
"Mari, no!" her kwami exclaimed, but it was too late.
"Adrian, catch!" Marinette yelled, adrenaline rushing through her.
Adrian was seconds from transforming but was distracted by Marinette's attempt to throw her purse at him. Why would she do such a thing? "Mari! Please, run!" he screamed, but it was too late. The akuma entered the umbrella, and darkness surrounded the poor girl.
Marinette felt fire in her veins, the negative emotions overwhelmed her, but she fought against it as best she could. "Adrian, you need to find Chat Noir, and give him my bag," her heart was pounding and darkness began to cloud her vision.
"I'm so sorry, Adrian. Keep her safe. Please, go now!"
Then, the lovely Marinette was surrounded in darkness.
It finally clicked to Adrian that her purse held her kwami. Even in her darkest moments, she never failed to save the ones she loved. He knew that he would have to figure out a plan, and fast. As much as it pained him to leave his love, he took Tikki and ran.
The clouds became darker, almost turning pitch black, and thunderstruck the city. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you will be my greatest creation. All the negative emotions you feel at once. I know you've kept it in for so long. Everyone has wronged you, yet you keep forgiving. Princess Justice, I give you the power to make everyone who hurt you… pay the ultimate price."
Marinette has never felt like this before, but for some reason, Hawkmoth's offer sounded like everything she has ever wanted. Why should she have to suffer? It's about time people learned her pain. "Yes, I think it's time for people to see that their actions have dire consequences."
She heard Hawkmoth's deep, evil chuckle in her head, "excellent, all that I need from you in return to get your revenge is Ladybug's and Chat Noir's miraculous. Now, go my dear, destruction is only the beginning."
Standing on her feet, a dark purple and black dress replaced her clothes, and her hair turned midnight black, now, like her heart. No longer was it tied up in childish pigtails; it now flowed down past her mid-back. It was time for Paris to see the real Marinette, full of agony. She gripped her umbrella in her fist, pointing it into the sky, she flew over the town to find her first victim.
First stop: Lila Rossi
Adrian finally ran far away enough, Marinette wouldn't be able to catch up with him. He ducked into an alleyway, panting trying to catch his breath. Gently, he opened Marinette's purse and took Ladybug's earrings into his hands. His heart clenched at the sight, he lost his partner and the love of his life in a blink of an eye.
Tikki appeared before Adrian, and Plagg flew out to embrace her. The red kwami wept and clutched Plagg tightly in her grasp. "Oh, Plagg, Ladybug has been in so much pain. I couldn't help her! She even thought about me before getting akumatized. We have to save her!" she rambled on in distress.
Adrian's eyes widened. "Tikki what happened to Marinette? Why did she say she doesn't love me anymore? You can trust me, I'm Chat Noir, Tikki."
Tikki let go of the dark kwami and sniffled. "Mr. Agreste came to the bakery yesterday and told Marinette that if she didn't leave you, he would take you out of school! He was ready to separate the two of you at any cost, but Marinette couldn't let that happen, and she didn't want you to lose the only family you have left," she said solemnly.
The boy's world felt as if it was crumbling to pieces. Oh, Marinette, why didn't she just talked to him about this. He knew that they could have figured it out some way. But now wasn't the time. "Tikki, it's okay. You all are my family, Marinette is my home."
She looked up to Adrian with hope and sincerity. She knew, but if only it was that easy. "You're going to need help, Adrian. I don't think you will be able to defeat Marinette on your own. You will need back up." she stated, snapping out of her sadness for a moment. "Transform now, we should head to Marinette's room before she gets there. We can get the other miraculous for help! Combine Plagg and my powers so that you can deakumatize her later."
Without wasting another moment, Adrian transformed into Chat Noir, "Plagg, claws out!"
Using his baton, he started sprinting and jumping to Mari's house, with Tikki safe in her purse for now. Once they arrived, Chat hopped onto her balcony, pulling open the roof bedroom door. He slid in, stealthily, being cautious in case anyone else was around.
Tikki flew out of her purse and pointed to Chat Noir where the miraculous box was currently being hidden. Despite the situation, Adrian smiled to himself seeing the makeshift dollhouse his Princess used to hide the box. He needed to get her back. Gently, he pressed the top of the box, revealing the ornate miraculous they will need to defeat Marinette.
They shined with a magic aura. This is the first time Adrian has ever seen them all in one place and realized how much responsibility and stress Marinette must have had trying to keep these hidden and safe. Adrian was drawn to many of them but tried to find the ones they've used before.
"Choose wisely Adrian, if you need help finding their miraculous holders, I will be here!" Tikki encouraged.
Thankful for her reassurance, he knew then which miraculous to take: the fox, the bee, the snake, the turtle, and the dragon. "Let's go Tikki! He placed the jewels into Mari's purse and Tikki promptly flew in.
Jumping out onto the girl's balcony, Adrian looked up into the sky to see Marinette directing thunder at the civilians, making her way to the other side of town. A spark of determination rushed through him at the horrifying sight. Adrian vowed that he would protect the girl he loves at all costs, no matter what it takes.
"Don't worry M'lady, I will save you. I promise."
