To my dear readers,

If you're reading this text, this is not the first chapter.

Click that "Next" button in the top right corner to get to the story.

However, if you do skip, you may or may not understand some of the jargon that I have utilized. What do I mean by this? Well, allow me to explain. Basically, treat this letter as a sort of disclaimer before reading. The characters, specifically the protagonists, will use a fair bit of tactical brevity code used by real world air forces. Examples can range from "Fox" missile codes or callouts during air combat such as "splash", "rifle", or "winchester". I'll try to limit how much I use so you readers can follow along...hopefully. The next bit, though, will be more technical and may require a bit of research to better understand the content.

The planes the protagonists fly will not be confined to the three special weapon choices offered per plane in Ace Combat 7. It will be much different from that. For example, the F-15E Strike Eagle, a plane that will be used by the protagonists, will be able to use all weaponry that is actually compatible with the real world counterpart. Ordnance used will be referred to by their actual names, so the bottom of this letter will include a few examples for you to get the idea. Otherwise, you can use an internet search engine to give you an easy answer. Another thing, thanks to experience from Project Wingman, the planes will have the ability to carry more than one special weapon. If the Tomcat can carry LAAMs and GPBs, why not just carry both on the same mission? So that's what I'll do. In terms of ammo count...eh, I just kind of skirted around that issue. Just know the planes will carry a bit more than they actually could in the real world. With all the technical stuff out of the way, here comes my personal notes regarding the story itself.

If you pick a two-seater aircraft in Ace Combat 7, not only is Trigger mute, but also the WSO/RIO behind him. Mihaly A. Shilage doesn't have this issue since his backseater is replaced with an AI called "Copro". Well I say it's about time we get an interesting dynamic between pilots and their assistants. If Project Wingman can give players a likeable WSO in Prez, why not the same for Trigger? Also since no one has really touched on a Trigger/Húxiān pairing, I'll take honor of being the first to do it. One more thing, not all missions will be covered meaning I skipped a few of them. Be prepared for a cold start. However, the DLC missions are still included and you still get to see Torres and his mad homeless ranting.

Ordnance Examples

AIM-120 AMRAAM, US active radar guided missile

AGM-88 HARM, US anti-radiation missile

So without further to do, I present to you...
