Episode - Pups Save a Friend (disclaimer: the episode is from my point of view)

It was a beautiful warm, sunny spring day in Adventure Bay. I was driving my truck down the road near City Hall.

Then I saw Mayor Goodway riding her scooter with her pet chicken, Chickaletta, and my favorite PAW Patrol pup, Marshall, was in front of her.

"Hi, Mayor Goodway!" I heard the dalmation exclaim.

Mayor Goodway swerved out of the way to avoid hitting him but crashed into the hedges around the front lawn of City Hall.

I saw this and parked my truck near where Marshall was.

"Sorry Mayor Goodway!" apologized Marshall.

Mayor Goodway spit some leaves out of her mouth.

"Ouchy" she said.

Chickaletta clucked unhappily.

Marshall hung his head down and sighed.

I paced over to him.

"Marshall? What's wrong, buddy boy?" I said.

Marshall sniffled as he looked over at me.

"Oh… Hi." Marshall said, looking dejected.

I knelt down beside him and comfortingly rubbed his back.

"Well.. I keep messing things up!" cried Marshall. "I tried to help Mr. Porter but I only made him drop the produce he was carrying onto the street and got it all crushed! Then I made Mayor Goodway crash into the hedges!"

I felt sorry for Marshall especially since he was having a bad morning.

"Aww, come here buddy. It's okay." I gave Marshall a reassuring hug.

"I'm sure you did your best to help Mr. Porter. Everyone has bad days now and then." I said.

Marshall was glad he wasn't causing someone to mess up and that someone was talking nicely to him.

"And I'm sure your day will turn-out well in the end." I said adding to what I last said.

Marshall smiled a little but still felt upset.

"Thanks." he answered.

Want me to give you a lift back to the Lookout?" I asked.

"Sure." replied Marshall.

I opened the passenger door of my truck and helped Marshall onto the passenger seat.

"Now I'll just help Mayor Goodway and then we'll head back to the Lookout." I told Marshall.

"No Adam, I've done enough here." protested Marshall.

"I'll only be a minute." I reassured as I walked over to the hedges.

After helping Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta out of the hedges, I went back to my truck and started to drive back to the Lookout.

Marshall still looked upset as I turned the corner towards the bridge.

"What if my day goes wrong even more?" he asked.

"Don't worry buddy." I told him, "I'm sure it'll turn around eventually.

I drove my truck over the bridge and soon we were approaching the Lookout.

I parked my truck near the Lookout and saw the other pups by a volleyball net.

I walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for Marshall.

"Thanks for the ride Adam." he told me as he hopped down from the passenger seat.

"Anytime little buddy." I told him. "Why don't you see what the pups are up to."

I don't know." Marshall replied.

I patted his head comfortingly.

"Don't worry buddy." I reassured him. "I'm sure everything will be fine".

Marshall kept doubting me but he didn't too much or he might hurt my feelings.

He walked toward the door of the Lookout.

"I can't do anything right." He said sadly hanging his head down

"Marshall!" exclaimed Zuma. "Want to play some volleyball, dude?"

Marshall looked at the pups.

"I don't know," he said, sounding unsure.

"Come on." said Rocky. "It's a blast!"

Marshall thought for a moment.

"Well… okay." said Marshall.

He walked toward the pups.

I smiled as I saw him.

"Looks like he might have a good day after all." I said out loud.

I hopped back in my truck and headed to the grocery store to buy some things.

In the grocery store, as I was buying some groceries, I noticed some pup treats near the shelf I was at.

"I bet having some of these would cheer-up Marshall." I said, as I grabbed a bag from the shelf.

As I exited the grocery store, I saw Marshall driving his fire truck with a bundle hanging from it.

"Marshall!" I cried. "Where are you going?"

Marshall saw me but he didn't respond.

I quickly put the groceries on the passenger seat of my truck and drove after him.

I followed him all the way to the forest.

Marshall saw me chasing him but he didn't care.

He grabbed his bundle and went to set-up his tent.

While he set-up, I hopped out of my truck and watched him.

After he set-up his tent, he went to change out of his fire gear.

"Hey, Marshall! What are you doing here? I thought you were playing volleyball with the other pups." I said.

Marshall looked sadly at me.

"You were wrong," he said.

"About what, buddy?" I asked.

"My day." "It's even worse." responded Marshall.

"Well what happened?" I asked, sitting down beside him and stroking the back of his head

Marshall felt like crying.

"Well… as I hit the volleyball over the net it caused the rest of the pups to be tangled up in the net." said Marshall with a whimper.

"Then, after I put the equipment away before going inside, I heard the pups laughing at what a silly pup I am." he finished.

I couldn't believe what Marshall just said.

"Oh buddy, that's terrible." I said while rubbing his back to comfort him.

"So I'm taking a break from the PAW Patrol." concluded Marshall.

"Well, you must know that you should never go off without telling anyone where you're going." I told him.

"They don't need to know where I am." argued Marshall. "They're tired of me messing-up their fun."

"Well maybe they weren't talking about you buddy." I said trying to get him to change his mind.

Marshall didn't care.

"They were specifically talking about me Adam". He said in an upset manner. "While they were watching Apollo the Super Pup."

"Well I might have something that'll cheer you up." I said walking to my truck and grabbing the bag of treats I had bought from the grocery store.

Marshall changed out of his fire gear.

"Want a treat?" I asked pulling a treat out of the bag. "I was at the grocery store and thought you might like these."

Marshall was surprised I had done something very thoughtful for him.

"Well, um; Thank you Adam." he spluttered.

I handed Marshall a treat and he ate it.

"Mmm. Thank you for the treat Adam." said Marshall. "That was nice of you to buy those for me."

"Your welcome buddy." I smiled. "So, what do you say about going back to the Lookout and telling Ryder and the pups what happened?"

Marshall frowned and looked at me with an annoyed look on his face.

"Didn't you hear me?" he responded annoyed. "Like I said they don't need me, I messed-up their game,"

I was surprised by Marshall's attitude.

"But what about my advice this morning?" I asked.

"Well like I said you were wrong." replied Marshall, raising his voice a little..

I didn't know what to say.

"Well you can keep the treats, if you want." I said trying to calm Marshall down.

"No, you can keep them." replied Marshall "You're the one who bought them."

I backed away from the Dalmatian in case he raised his voice at me again.

"Yeah leave me alone." snapped Marshall.

I gave Marshall an angry look and put the treats back in one of the grocery bags.

I wanted to snap back at Marshall but Marshall just glared at me.

That made me furious. I didn't say anything, I just glared at him and walked to the driver side of my truck and drove away from Marshall.

Marshall scoffed and walked to his tent to take a nap.

I drove my truck out of the forest and to the open road.

Later on, I was at the library checking out a book.

"Maybe reading a book will cheer me up." I thought.

I sat in the driver seat reading my book.

As I was reading, I noticed Ryder and Chase pass by driving their vehicles.

Chase was in his super spy gear.

I put my book by one of the grocery bags on the passenger seat and drove after them.

As I followed Ryder and Chase, I looked up at the sky.

"Hmm looks like a storm is rolling in." I thought "I hope Marshall is alright."

I saw parked on the side of the road near the forest.

I stood by my truck and saw Chase deploy his Spy drone.

"Launch!" he barked as the drone flew off into the distance.

I watched as Chase and Ryder watched the screen from the camera on Chase's spy drone.

"Nice work, spy drone!" Chase finally said. "Ryder, I found him!"

"Good work, Chase!" Ryder exclaimed. "Use your zip-line to catch up to him."

"Ok Ryder." replied Chase. "Zip line!" he barked.

Chase's zip-line popped-out of his pup pack and zipped off into the trees and Ryder ran after him.

I was glad Chase's drone found Marshall but I was secretly worried what Marshall would say, if he saw me again.

I shrugged and ran after Ryder.

As I ran after Ryder and Chase, I saw Rubble join the chase running after Ryder but ahead of me.

Then Ryder, Rubble, and I saw a flash of lightning.

"Come on we need to find Marshall before the storm gets worse." said Ryder.

Then I took a shortcut to see if I could find Marshall.

Then I saw Marshall by a tree that got struck by lightning.

I hid by some trees so Marshall wouldn't see me.

Marshall was trying to push the tree out of the way but he couldn't.

"I can't do this by myself." he panted

He turned on his pup tag.

"Ryder, it's Marshall. I need you and the PAW Patrol right away!" he said.

Then Chase came down from the trees on his zip-line.

"Right here, Marshall!" said Chase.

Marshall jumped forward in fright.

"Chase, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"We've all been looking for you Marshall." said Chase, as Ryder and Rubble ran in.

"Zip-line away." barked Chase, and the zip-line went back into his pup pack.

"Ryder, Rubble!" exclaimed Marshall. "You guys got here just in time."

Marshall showed them and Chase the burnt tree.

"Lightning hit a tree and it fell on top of a bunny burrow." explained Marshall. "One bunny ran off into the woods, and the rest are trapped in the borrow!"

"Chase, you find the lost bunny. Rubble get your rig. Marshall, this tree is still smoldering. You know what to do." said Ryder.

"I'm fired up!" exclaimed Marshall and he ran off to get his fire gear.

Soon he returned with it on.

"Water cannon!" barked Marshall.

And he cooled down the tree.

"Great work Marshall!" said Ryder as Rubble arrived with his bulldozer. "Rubble I need you to lift this tree."

"Rubble on the double!" said Rubble.

He used his crane to lift the tree off the burrow.

"Come on, bunnies." said Ryder as he knelt down by the burrow. "You're safe now."

The bunnies hopped out of the burrow.

I was glad the bunnies were safe and that Marshall had been found.

Then I ran back to my truck to go find Chase.

I saw Chase's drone and ran after him.

Soon Chase found the lost bunny.

"Huh? You're ok little guy." Chase said softly.

The bunny looked at him.

"Aww!" said Chase.

He thought the bunny looked cute.

I walked up to him.

"Hey Chase!" I called him.

"Oh, Hi Adam!" greeted Chase. "What are you doing out in the woods?"

"Well I saw Ryder, Rubble, and you looking for Marshall." I explained to him as I knelt down and rubbed his back.

Then I explained to him all about what happened earlier that day.

Chase was surprised.

"Wow, well it was very thoughtful of you to buy those treats for him." pointed out Chase.

"But I am surprised he was rude to you and raised his voice."

"Yeah I should say sorry to him for annoying him." I agreed.

"Well let's get this bunny back to his family." said Chase.

"Follow us little fella." I said to the bunny.

As we led the bunny out of the woods Chase spoke to me.

"Uh, Adam." he started

"Yeah, Chase?" I asked.

"I'm sorry we ignored you this morning, when you brought Marshall back to the Lookout." Chase apologized.

"Aww, that's alright buddy." I said modestly. "I understand, you were wanting Marshall to play volleyball."

Chase smiled at me.

"Thanks Adam." he said. "And thanks for finding me and the bunny."

"It's no trouble at all Chase." I said as I patted his head.

"Hey look Adam!" Chase noticed. "The sky's clearing."

I looked up at the sky.

"Hey! Your right Chase." I said. "I bet this bunny will like that."

"Yeah." Chase giggled. "And I bet the rest of his family too."

Chase and I led the bunny out of the woods.

"Now we need to find Marshall and the others." I said.

Don't worry Adam," said Chase, "Ryder told me where they were before you came."

Chase led the bunny to his cruiser as his spy drone went back into place on his cruiser.

And Chase drove to the trail that I had met Marshall at earlier.

I followed him back and parked my truck at the edge of the forest.

I saw Marshall had packed his tent on his fire engine.

"So why were you running away Marshall?" asked Chase

"Because I mess everything up. Even the volleyball game." explained Marshall.

He hopped off his fire truck but landed on his stomach with his front paws at his side and his back paws behind him.

"I heard you laughing at what a silly pup I am," he added as he sat up.

"No way Marshall!" said the pups as they and Ryder walked over to him.

"We weren't talking about you." explained Rubble. "We were talking about the bad guy on Apollo the Super Pup."

The PAW Patrol wouldn't be the PAW Patrol without you Marshall." said Ryder.

The bunnies leaned against Marshall.

Marshall laughed.

"Yay, Marshall!" cheered the pups.

I crossed my arms and smiled at Marshall.

"That's my PAW Patrol pup." I said.

"You're all such good pups." said Ryder as he patted Marshall's back.

"By the way, you owe us a new volleyball." pointed out Rubble.

"Whaa..!" Marshall said, confused.

The pups explained to Marshall he had run over the volleyball while leaving the Lookout.

"Oh sorry about that." said Marshall nervously

"It's fine,'' said Chase."

Then Marshall remembered how he treated me after I gave him the treat.

"And I think I owe someone else an apology." said Marshall feeling guilty for how rude he had been to me.

"Who's that?" asked Rocky.

Marshall told the pups and Ryder all about earlier.

"Oh, Adam told me all about that," said Chase.

Chase told them all about his conversation with me.

"Where's Adam now?" asked Marshall. "I should apologize to him."

"Last time I saw him was during our conversation after we found the bunny." explained Chase.

" I must find him and apologize." said Marshall as he jumped into his fire truck and raced out of the forest to find me and apologize.

I was driving down the road outside the forest when Marshall came up behind me.

"Adam!" "Wait a minute!" cried Marshall.

We both pulled over and got out of our trucks.

"What is it Marshall?" I said thinking Marshall was gonna be rude to me some more.

Marshall looked up to me and sighed.

"Adam, I'm sorry I was so rude to you earlier." he said ashamed. "You just wanted to make me feel better."

After hearing Marshall apologize to me, I realized that he couldn't stay mad at me for too long.

I knelt down to Marshall.

"It's alright buddy boy." I said. "And I'm sorry I was annoying you also."

"You didn't annoy me Adam." corrected Marshall. "I just didn't want you to keep talking about the PAW Patrol."

"And I'm also sorry I kept doubting you this morning." said Marshall adding to his apology.

"It's alright Marshall." I said modestly. "I would never stay mad at my favorite PAW Patrol pup."

Marshall was glad I wasn't mad at him.

I gave Marshall a big hug.

"And thanks for all your advice." said Marshall as he hugged me back. "It really made me think about my day."

"Anything for my favorite PAW Patrol pup." I said happy Marshall and I were better friends than ever.

Marshall jumped into my arms and proceeded to lick my face.

Then Ryder and the other pups arrived.

"I see you two are back together." said Rubble.

"Yeah." I agreed as I set Marshall on his paws again.

"Let's all head back to the Lookout." said Ryder. "I'd say we all deserve a rest after all this."

"Come with us." Marshall said to me.

"Alright I'd love to." I said.

So Marshall, the rest of PAW Patrol, and I headed back to the Lookout to have a rest after all the searching in the woods.
