After the confession Asuka had fallen asleep close to Shinji while he was looking at the red beach, what he was going to do after the confession was something hard for him and deep down he knows, that it will hurt Asuka more, but for her sake and happiness he was going to do it and this time he won't cry about it. Raising himself on his feet he cleaned off the sand in his body and looked at the peaceful face of Asuka, the girl whose life has been nothing more than pain since her creation on EURO NERV, the girl who never stopped loving him for 14 years.

Asuka wakes up in her entry plug, looking down she notices she no longer is with her plugsuit or 28, she also realizes that the beach is gone and so is Shinji but she is too tired to keep her eye's open, she looks up and mutters one word in a cracked voice, "…Shinji?" the entry plug is removed from Unit 13 and flies all the way to the village as it crushes landed on Kensuke home, her idiot is now gone again, but he will always be in her heart till the day she dies.
