Sucy couldn't really look outside of her window, she couldn't even live in her house anymore. She lived alone ever since her parents died, they're the last request from them before their death was for her to go to Luna Nova. She didn't do that, she left the school and stayed on her own. She sells various poisons and magical-based drugs for money and stays on the move, she stayed up in a small house after saving her money, but soon after a while, she had to move.
Sucy picked up a newspaper, it was titled "World War Three! Witches Hunted!" Sucy threw away the newspaper, the world has gone to hell, witches are to blame, and everyone will soon be dead. She just wants her money and she can leave this place.
Sucy walks down a street, she picks up a bag from her usual pick up spot, she then walks to a bus stop, if she can make it to the airport, she can leave and live out her life alone. That's the way it goes for her.
"And that's the way it goes for her! Chariot is so awesome!" Akko shouts. Akko sat next to Lotte and Sucy in a grass plain of Luna Nova eating lunch.
Lotte and Sucy rolled their eyes, they couldn't really listen to Akko like this anymore, they needed a break from her.
"Hey Akko," Sucy says, she throws some money at her. "Get us some drinks will you?"
"Ok!" Akko picks up the money and leaves Sucy and Lotte alone.
Sucy and Lotte sighed in relief.
"Akko is being extra annoying today, I can't handle her right now," Sucy stated.
"She is a little loud, but she can change, it's not like something bad will happen when she stops, but she is still Akko," Lotte stated.
"I've always wondered what would've happened if Akko was different."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean if she was smarter."
"SUCY!"
"Relax, it's just something that pops into my head, Akko being different would be super surprising, especially to me. Oh, look there she comes now."
Akko walks up to Sucy and Lotte, but she looks confused and a lot more different.
"Where are the drinks?" Sucy asks.
"What? Oh, they didn't have any?" Akko replies confused.
Sucy and Lotte look at her in confusion.
"Akko are you ok?" Lotte asks in concern.
"I'm fine, but can I ask something?" Akko asks.
"Sure," Sucy says.
"What universe am I in?"
Sucy and Lotte stared at her for a while, they didn't know what to say. Did Akko ask what universe they were in?
"What?" Sucy asks confused, what was Akko saying?
"I couldn't figure out from the multiverse map where I was, but I think I'm in Universe C because I see my counterpart walking over with drinks, she seems pretty normal," Akko explains carefully.
The Akko with drinks walks over, but she drops them when she sees another version of herself.
"What…" Akko says with her mouth open.
"Ok, what is going on? And what do we even call you? Akko? If that's even your real name," Sucy stated.
"It is, but you can call me Atsuko, she can be called Akko," Atsuko stated.
"Wow, Akko doesn't like anyone calling her by her real name, you must be different, but what are you? A clone? Shapeshifter?" Sucy asks. She eyes Atsuko suspiciously.
"We should go to your dorms, we can't be around anyone who might spy on us," Atsuko says.
Akko was still staring at her counterpart confused, but Lotte dragged her away from her gaze as the others walked to their dorms.
They reached the dorms, Akko touched Atsuko all around her body, trying to see if she was real.
"I'm not anything monstrous, I'm just confused about where I am in the multiverse," Atsuko stated.
"Multiverse, why do you keep saying that?" Sucy asks. "Lotte do you know what a multiverse is?"
"Like multiple universes?" Lotte asks Atsuko.
"Yes, I'm an Akko from one of the infinite universes, I was studying with my Mom when I accidentally used a teleportation spell with extreme power, which brought me here. Before I arrived, I gazed on a multiverse map, showing all of the places in the multiverse, but I only have a common gaze on it in my mind, but I think I know where my universe is," Atsuko explained.
"How do you know what the map looks like?" Lotte asks.
"I have a photographic memory," Atsuko stated.
"Wow! I'm so awesome! Do you perform big spells?! Can you fly a broom?! Oh, have you met Shiny Chariot?!" Akko shouts while asking her counterpart.
"Yes, Yes, and I kinda knew her most of my life," Atsuko says.
Akko bounced up and down in excitement. Sucy seemed to believe Atsuko, but she noticed a complete difference in her and their Akko. Akko is more ADD, energetic, impulsive, and a little bit stupid. Ok, she is very stupid. But Atsuko seemed more calm and orderly, she reminded Sucy of another witch, Diana Cavendish. But she wasn't as cold-hearted, she is more logical and intelligent than Akko, she just stated that she had a photographic memory, so how smart is she? What's her IQ level?
"I'm sorry to bother you with your time," Atsuko apologized. She bowed slightly. "I just want to find the same spellbook that brought me here, maybe if I can see the map more clearly, I can travel between universes."
"We'll take you to the library," Sucy stated.
"But what about classes?" Akko asks.
"Cover for us," Lotte says. "We'll be back soon."
Atsuko stuck out her hand and shook Akko's.
"I can easily tell you struggle with your skills, but let me tell you, that it does get better, do what you always do, believe in yourself and you can do anything," Atsuko says to her counterpart.
Akko's eyes lit up, she never got that much high praise and helpful words from anyone since she was in Luna Nova, but when she heard those words from her counterpart from the other universe, she smiles and screams to herself.
"We should get going, no one should notice anything if we're walking together to the library, Akko, when you see us reach the other hallway, leave for the classroom so no one will arouse suspicion," Sucy explains.
"Got it," Akko nods.
"You girls must sneak out a lot in this universe," Atsuko stated.
Sucy laughed and she pushed Atsuko down the hallway.
They reached the library quickly, Atsuko sped walked to a section of the library titled "Universe" and pulled out a black colored book. She flipped to a page and looked over one.
"This is the page, thank you Sucy and Lotte," Atsuko says. She pulls out her wand and starts to perform a spell.
"Before you go, how are we in your universe?" Lotte asks.
"Actually, you guys are the same as you are in my universe, it's me who is different, but I better go, my mom is getting worried," Atsuko stated. She sat down on the floor and began to perform the spell.
As Sucy and Lotte start to leave they are blocked from the exit of the library by Diana Cavendish, who was glaring at them with her blue eyes.
"What are you three doing out of class? I saw you didn't go to class, you need to take Akko and get out of the library now," Diana says coldly. She looks at Atsuko who was opening the multiverse map, which was blue and covered in stars. "What is Akko doing? Are you performing unauthorized magic in the library? Hey, Akko, you need to stop!"
Atsuko pressed a button on the multiverse map as she did, a portal opened up behind her.
"Akko, I don't know what kind of magic you're doing, but you need to stop now," Diana pulls out her wand and pushed Sucy and Lotte aside, and shot a small magic spell at the portal to try and turn it off, but it just reversed the flow of the portal, sucking in Atsuko, Diana, Sucy, and Lotte, only leaving the black book on the floor.
Atsuko and Lotte landed in a similar library like Universe C's library, Atsuko groaned and rubbed her head. She spotted Lotte and helped her up from the floor.
"Ugh, what happened?" Lotte asks.
"Your universe's Diana caused a misfire in the portal, it caused her and my guess Sucy to be teleported somewhere else, but not here," Atsuko explained. "We need some help, Mom! Are you here?!"
Lotte saw an older red-headed woman run up to Atsuko and give her a close hug.
"I'm so glad you're safe, Constance is building a machine to help us better guide and peak through the universes," The Older woman says and she kisses Atsuko on top of her head.
"Wait, you're…" Lotte suddenly realized who the woman was, Atsuko's mom. Someone that her universe says is a fraud and disappeared. "Shiny Chariot!"
"I am, come on, we have a lot of work to do, if you're here, that means your friends are in another dangerous universe," Chariot stated.
