Disclaimer: this is the first story i have written in a number of years, I apologise for any grammatical errors or American spelling mistakes( as I am Australian and we spell things properly) or general not caring on my part.

I do not own HP or Mad Max, nor do I own the rights to the Ford Falcon or any other car mentioned in this Story. Furthermore I do not own any of the characters other than my own. This story begins about 1yr after the Battle of Hogwarts, This is not a Harry/Ginny pairing however this first chapter will also set out the prompt for anybody who decides to follow it. The mad max events are set in a modern time period and from the first film, it does not follow the sequels, mainly because I didn't like them. this story is rated M for possible violence, blood gore and death depending on the reception of the initial chapters.

2200 Leaky Cauldron, Charing Cross Road London June 1999

Sitting alone at the bar Harry potter finds himself after the Battle of Hogwarts. Public opinion against him as he tries to change the world for the better, Ron has left as he doesn't want to "lose the faith of the people" with Hermione trying to be the mediator between the two former friends. Ginny and Harry broke up after coming home and finding her in bed with his former dormmates Dean and Seamus in a "Spit Roast" position.

The only people still on his side were Luna the bubbly Ravenclaw trying to further the world of Magizoology, Neville the bravest lion of them all trying to assist Harry in his attempts to better the world and a pair of un-expected individuals. Susan Bones trying to survive the new world in the Auror department alongside harry, and Daphne Greengrass, the snake turned lawyer assisting in the drafting of legislation that seeks the betterment of the wizarding world.

Sitting at the bar a passerby drops his copy of The Daily Prophet, Harry opens the newspaper to see the front cover with a breaking news story

Australian School of Magic Attacked!

The Australian School of magic was attacked overnight by a group of muggles (known as something called a motorcycle gang) that called themselves The Zed Runners. They broke into a muggle automobile killing the headmaster (Now identified as Wendell Wilkins) and kidnapping his wife (Identified as Monica Wilkins) who was found dead by the side of the road 2km away having been sexually violated by at least 7 individuals. The Australian Parliament is facing a possible collapse in Law and Order. In an attempt to stem the outburst of gang violence on the roads, the Australian Government has authorised the creation of a new Police Force, whose sole duty is the continued safety of the travelling Public. The Main Force Patrol is willing to recruit anybody to stop this violence. Life for officers will be hard but rewarding

Having read this story Harry has made his mind up, the real hard part is getting out of Magical UK unnoticed, while simultaneously draining all his accounts so there's nothing left for the backstabbers to try and take from him.

0700 Gringotts London December 1999

Upon entering the Alley Harry received a wide array of expressions from passerby's. Some border on disgusted, others show an understanding. But the majority displayed indifference, going from shop to shop then heading home. As Harry approached Gringotts he took in the site of the damaged roof, as well as the armed guards now approaching him. After being escorted through the doors, the teller who doesn't bother looking up asks "State your name and purpose of visit". Harry responds "Harry potter looking to leave Magical UK under a fake name and removing all my accounts". The teller looks up in shock as he sends for the account keeper, he responds "Mr potter please follow Wisenut to your account manager" ( an: i really don't want to write anymore Gringotts stuff so i will summarise), Harry comes to a deal where he can access his funds from Australia as well as calling all debts due, he then invites Neville, Luna, Susan and Daphne to come with him, Luna being Luna has foreseen that it is not her time to join them in Australia, so she stays in the UK and basically acts as debt collector. then the foursome leave the UK and arrive in Australia where the next phase of the story begins

0530 Sun City Victoria Australia March 2001

Parked in the MFP station a Black Pursuit Special Roars to life as the criminal jumps in, having just escaped from the officers and killing a young probationary officer, after speeding through a closed garage door he turns right onto highway nine. The driver is a dangerous individual, Bordering on insane and high as a kite, he is known as 'The Night Rider'. within minutes he passes the outer suburbs of sun city roaring his way west which is where Max Rockatansky's (formerly known as Harry Potter) story begins.

Authors Note: This chapter is only a prologue, but I am also writing up my challenge here

challenge name: Main Force Officer Harry potter

pairings: Male/Female only where main characters are involved (i.e. any characters plus harry potter), all other orientations allowed for other characters (yes i mean no harry/Draco or whatever other gay pairings the fandom seems to like sorry but not my cup of tea).

storyline: must start after the battle of Hogwarts, can follow the Mad Max sequels if you wish, Dumbledore/Weasleys screwing harry over allowed, everyone dead allowed, harry just leaving because he wants too allowed

Mandatory Characters: Harry, Luna, Susan B (very unloved character for some reason), Neville (use him however you wish), Hermione, the bottomless garbage disposal that is Ron.

All main force vehicles must be Australian brand icons (i.e. Holden / Ford), No dodge, Chevy or other international brands allowed.

villain's: Voldemort is already dead, do not use, Draco as one of toecutters men or even as toecutter allowed, Zacharias smith as Johnny the Boy preferred but not required,
