AN: start of the reboot here is to hoping that this is better.
The HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I ADS a marvel of human engineering and the predecessor of the MJOLNIR series suits used by Spartans. Energy shields, composite titanium-a plating, flight and vacuum capable, armaments that allow for anti-personnel, anti-air, and anti-armor combat.
But it now lays still its left arm gone as the pilot of this war machine completes his final act against the Covenant.
The pilot's name was Sergeant Jeremiah Langley Stevens or "Ghost". He was believed to be that way as the story of how his platoon was killed in a covenant ambush and his seemingly non-reaction made him seem cold and psychopathic. The rumors that spread said that if you were under his command you were sure to die.
But he didn't care he pushed through and was put into the Hades Corps and always performed demolition jobs. If Cole Protocol was enacted and sensitive materials needed to be destroyed to not fall into Covenant hands you were sure to find him.
This lead to the planet Algolis where Mark 1 ADS was built and tested to be used as a potential platform for use by un-augmented humans. But the Covenant had invaded and had the skies on lockdown.
To save his men from suffering the same fate as the ones under his command before he destroyed all data related to the suit and used whatever weapons and power it had at his disposal to clear out a path for the remaining human forces to evacuate.
As he cut through the waves of enemies, gatling gun ripping through foot soldiers and recoilless rifle taking vehicles and hunters, the shuttles escaped as his energy shield broke and his left side was mangled. He sat up and watched the evac shuttles escape the timer ran out and was prompted with the self-destruct command phrase something he would never forget on that night his platoon died.
He smiled and rasped "Be Human". The glow of the detonation could be seen from orbit and some of the crew aboard the Heart of Midlothian mistook it for the solar system's star peeking from behind the planet. Yet the evacuees from scientists to marines knew of the Sergeants sacrifice and saluted towards the blossoming light.
832 Moribund Hyperbola watched as the reclaimer in powered armor cut swathes of the invaders. He had inhabited this planet known to him as MA-226 for a couple thousand years now using the planet's resources for Institute. When the reclaimers landed on this planet he was overjoyed to know that the final solution worked as intended and had planned to make contact as soon as possible until he learned of their war.
The reclaimers were being driven to extinction due to a zealous religious hegemony of other space-faring species called the Covenant. It consisted of the Ungoy, Kig-yar, Sangheili, Lekgolo, Yanmee, Jiralhannee, and the San-shyum. They had appeared and had told the reclaimers they were an affront to their gods. Yet according to records he intercepted they were worshipping the forerunners and used their technology to try and kill all of humanity. It made him wish those species were not cataloged before the array fired for attacking those they are meant to work with.
This caused great sorrow as he viewed the bodies of reclaimers littering the battlefield. But despite all odds one still stood. Clad in what could be estimated as class 2.5 combat armor the Reclaimer fought with all his might. Then the combined fire of blamite needles and superheated plasma destroyed the hard light shield and a well timed plasma grenade heavily damaged the suits left side and destroyed its arm.
The monitor detected the evacuation shuttles breaking for orbit but knew they wouldn't make it. That was until he detected the build up of energy from a nuclear device and looked on in surprise as his instruments told him that the Reclaimer was going to trigger the suits self destruction.
He knew he shouldn't do this but as the last living reclaimers on this planet he needed to live. But it occurred to him that his brother monitors back on Institute needed their experiment to end and the only person who could override that was the now deceased life worker or a Reclaimer.
So just as the device was about to detonate he teleported the self destruct device safely away from the reclaimer and then took both him and the suit to his base of operations.
The damage done to the reclaimers body disheartened the monitor but he knew what must be done. So to prevent the reclaimer's mind to be lost he modified his neural lace and set up a connection that would allow the suit to be used as a medium to interact with the world while his body recovered in stasis.
Nothing could be done for the suit as he lacked the facilities so he took whatever ammunition remained in the human weapon testing facility and recharged it.
With the reclaimer secured he departed.
Clashes of steel sounded out through the forest between two men and a woman. The woman wore a red and black blouse and skirt with a white cape and hood. She had a messy black bob cut with red highlights and silver eyes. She wielded a weapon that transformed from sword to bow and arrow that shot explosive arrow heads that gave off elemental effects and the sword caught on fire from time to time.
One of the men wore an open white jacket with X shaped scars on his chest and tan pants. He had black hair braided to look like a scorpion tail with pale demented yellow eyes and sometimes what looked to be a scorpion tail that would randomly strike out from the small of his back. He wielded wrist-mounted submachine guns with blades on their sides completing his scorpion motif.
The other man was around 7 feet tall and only wore a frayed green tunic and brown cargo shorts. He had dark brown hair in a crew cut and similar brown eyes. Every now and again he would pull out syringes filled with multicolored substances and inject himself. This would cause himself to glow with elemental power and increase his speed and strength leaving craters when he missed.
When the combatants got a solid hit on each other's bodies a glowing a shield would spring up and protect most of the damage.
Finally forming a ring around the combatants a sea black white red and yellow circled. This mass was made of beasts that looked like giant pitch black animals with bone plating covered in red jagged marks their yellow eyes marking an arena that would attack the woman if she got to close to the edge. They took the forms of wolves, bears, boars, and raptors and all had extensive bone armor which made them all the more menacing.
But it was coming to an end.
So there she stood panting her aura nearly gone and her weapon cracked chipped and out of ammo.
At a standstill waiting for the next move the tall man spoke "Give up now, you cannot beat us in your condition drop your weapon and we will make sure your death is painless and we know your eyes cannot do anything that isn't the Grimm" he spoke with a grimace on his face and a hint of remorse in his tone.
"Yes, indeed little woman" the crazed Faunus spoke, "after all you could never stop our mistress, our queen, our goddess!" He raved.
Before she could rasp out a response there was blinding golden light that caused many of the Grimm to cower on instinct. This caused the fighters to be surprised as the Grimm do not submit to fear easily. So they focused on the light and were surprised at what they saw.
There was a pod made of a silver metal, a heavily rugged and damaged 10 foot tall mech suit, and a floating metal sphere with a grey eye that surveyed it's surroundings calmly.
The mech suit then seemed to stir and stand as the sphere spoke.
"Odd you shouldn't be awake yet."
