Chapter 1
Trunks was working on one of his mother's inventions trying to find the issue when Bulma came in the room. He looked over at her, "Yeah Mom?" He asked.
Bulma came up to him, "Trunks, I was thinking…how many friends do you have?"
"Friends?" He asked confused, Trunks stopped working and turned to his mother, "Why do you want to know?"
"Trunks, you need more friends, you need better social skills. I don't want you to have the social graces as your father." Bulma confessed.
He looked into his mother's eyes, he could see the worry and concern in them. Sighing, Trunks smiled at her, "Mom, I promise I won't be as socially inept as Dad. I am like him in certain ways, but not socially."
"Sweetie, I worry. Please do this, for me?" Bulma pleaded.
"Fine. Where am I going?" He asked crossing his arms.
Bulma smiled wide, "Paris, France!"
"France?" Trunks asked confused, "Why there?"
"I have a friend who lives there, she promised to check in on you. I will inform her that you will be coming to Paris." Bulma stated as she left the room.
Trunks sighed, 'Great…I don't want to do this…'
-Meanwhile-
Marinette was sitting in her class, next to her best friend Ayla, waiting for her teacher Ms. Bustier to come in. "So, what do you think this announcement Ms. Bustier has for us?" Ayla asked.
Nino and Adrien, who were sitting in front of the girls, "I am not sure, but I hope it's exciting." Nino said excitedly.
"Maybe we are going on a trip?" Adrien added, "That would be fun."
"A trip? With all of you? As if." Chloe scoffed.
Marinette rolled her eyes, as Ms. Bustier came in followed by the principal, Mr. Damocles. "Attention, everybody." Ms. Bustier called out. Everyone looked towards the front of the class, "Mr. Damocles, if you want to give the announcement."
"Yes, thank you. In a week, you will be gaining a new student." He told them, "I want you to make him feel welcomed. It will be his first time in a school setting, so it'll be new for him."
Marinette raised her hand, "Who is this new student, Mr. Damocles?"
"His name is Trunks Briefs." Mr. Damocles left. The students started to talk amongst themselves about the news.
"I know him." Lila told the class, "We actually dated, I dumped him though."
"Why did you dump him?" A few people in the class asked.
"He was too needy," Lila said.
Ms. Bustier got the class to settle down and began her lesson for the day. When on their break from classes, Marinette got her friends together, "We should do something special for Trunks, to welcome him into a school."
"I agree, we should see if we can do it in Ms. Bustier's classroom," Ayla suggested. The girls cheered and ran off to see Ms. Bustier.
-Back with Trunks-
He was in his room, open bags and clothes strewn about, as he grumbled about leaving. There was a short knock at the door, "Come in, Dad."
Vegeta walked in, "Your mother told me about you going to Paris for 'socialization' or whatever."
"Yeah, I'm not thrilled about it." Trunks admitted, "Did you need something?"
Without a word, Vegeta pulled out two small capsules, "I had your mother make these for you." He handed them to Trunks, "One is a portable Gravity Chamber, so you can keep up with your training. The other one is from your mother; she wants you to have some supplies in case something were to happen."
Trunks put the capsules in the inside pocket of his jacket, "What kind of supplies?"
"A dragon radar, a motorcycle, and a communication device that can signal me or Kakorrot if we are needed," Vegeta explained.
"Thanks, Dad." Trunks said.
Vegeta nodded and left. Trunks looked at his bags, he finished packing his clothes and other important belongings. He glanced at his sword and put it in a capsule to take it with him, once his bags were together, he placed them in a capsule, "These things are amazing."
The next day Trunks hugged his mother and bowed to his father before he flew off to Paris. Trunks glanced down at his watch to make sure he was going in the right direction, once he saw the Eiffel Tower, he looked for a secluded place to land. When he landed in an alleyway, Trunks walked out into the nearly empty street. 'Now where did Mom say I have to go?' He pulled out a small piece of paper, 'Go to The Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie once you land and tell them who you are. They will help you from there.'
He started down the street, he glanced around at the city. He made it to the bakery, opening the door he heard a little bell chime.
"Hello, how can I help you?" A big man asked as he stood behind the counter.
"I am looking for Tom and Sabine Dupain-Chang?" Trunks asked.
The man smiled, "You found them, young man. I'm Tom, who are you?"
"I'm Trunks Briefs, Bulma's son."
Tom smiled, "Yes, my wife said you'd be here. Come on back, and we can help you get settled." He motioned for Trunks to follow him through the bakery into the house that was connected to it. "Sabine!" Tom called out.
Trunks saw a woman walk out with a smile, "Trunks, Bulma said you'd be coming today. I called the school when she told me that you were coming, you start tomorrow." Sabine told him, "Also, you will be staying with us for your stay."
He nodded, and followed Sabine up the stairs, she showed him a room, "This will be your room, get settled in, and once you are come to the kitchen." She left the room. Trunks took out his capsules and clicked them open, the bags appeared on the bed. He took time to unpack, once he was finished, he headed towards the kitchen. "Finished unpacking?" Sabine asked.
"Yes, thank you, Ma'am." Trunks said as he sat on a stool.
Sabine smiled as she put some cookies, fruit, Boeuf Bourguignon (AN it's a French soup.), Bouillabaisse, and crêpes in front of Trunks, "I figured you might be hungry, Bulma told me of your appetite. Enjoy."
Trunks smiled at Sabine and started to eat all the food that she gave him. Sabine was a little shocked at how much he could eat, once Trunks was finished, he helped Sabine clean up the kitchen. "I have a daughter around your age, she should be home soon, she's actually working on a surprise for you with her class."
"She sounds nice, what's her name?" Trunks asked as he put away the last dish.
"Marinette."
