Author's Note: Hello, everyone! Newest fanfic request for my dearest friend QMDisneyPokemon14. This story also takes place after the bugs have kids. Note that April has already ended, so May has begun! AS ALWAYS, favs and follows are accepted. Be sure to R&R! So, thanks and I hope you enjoy it.
It was a beautiful morning in Ant Island. The sun shone on the top of the anthill.
The ants and the circus troupe were sleeping peacefully in their dens. Tuck and Roll just woke up with a snicker. They snuck out of their den to get themselves cleaned up.
As the pill bugs did so, they saw the ant council members up, setting up a breakfast table of blueberries. Tuck and Roll smiled, and once they saw the ant council leaving the table, the two took out a hot chili sauce.
Then, once they put the sauce in one of each of their friends plate of breakfast blueberries, they snickered, until footsteps can be heard. Quickly but surely, they put the sauce away and sat in their chairs. The royal ant family and the rest of the circus troupe, along with their kids: the princesses Flika, Richie and Adrianna, Ramona, Lukas, Gina and Shadow headed to their seats.
"Wow, blueberries! My favorite!" the older Princess Dot cheered.
Prince Valian chuckled, so did King Flik, Queen Atta and the others.
"I wonder what blueberries taste like!" the kids say in unison.
"Well, I hope you'll like them!" Flik told them.
"Everybody, dig in!" Atta announced.
"Well, no matter if I do! They are tasty!" Heimlich said excitedly.
"Oh, Heimlich, what a stomach-thinker," Slim said.
Francis and Molt just chuckled, so did the others. Then, once they ate up the blueberries, they felt awes at that.
But suddenly, there was panting of panic. It was Dim. He felt something inside his mouth.
"Dim, honey, what's wrong?" Rosie asked with concern.
"HOT SAUCE!" Dim yelped out.
As the others felt shocked, they cried in pain, too. The chili hot sauce was in their mouths! As Tuck and Roll snickered, they began laughing their heads off.
As the others turned with annoyance, they frowned at the pill bugs.
"April Fools!" Tuck and Roll both shouted hysterically.
"Dear, God, these hooligans aren't anything but ingrates," Manny muttered as he facepalmed himself.
Gypsy frowned as she crossed her arms.
Just then, the royal ant family and the kids began laughing as well.
"What even is funny? Tuck and Roll the burdens just pranked us!" Francis said with annoyance.
"It's called 'April Fools' Day'," Slim corrected.
"Hey, I think I like that!" Heimlich added.
"That's what 'us' clowns do," Molt chimed in.
"Seriously?" Rosie asked with annoyance.
Dim just groaned with annoyance as well, as if he agreed with her.
But moments later, the circus troupe began laughing with them as well.
Much, much later...
Dim beamed an evil grin, shot up and roared loudly at his friends, who ended up screaming. Choking up, he giggled,
"You— you should've seen the looks on your faces, when there's a paste of ketchup!"
As Dim smacked the ground with his foot, he laughed his head off while standing up, squirting ketchup all over his friends. The other circus bugs began laughing while playing with ketchup.
"Ooh, ketchup!" Heimlich cheered.
"Hey, this matches my color!" Francis said excitedly as he saw his look related to the ketchup's color.
"That's what it is, Francis," Slim added.
Molt just laughed as he played around the big ketchup puddle.
"Um, Manny, shall we get ourselves cleaned?" Gypsy asked with less concern as she and her mate got covered with ketchup.
"Yes, of course, Gypsy, my dear. Let's get ourselves cleaned," Manny responded as he took his mate's hand and the two headed back inside for a nice shower.
Flik, Dot, Valian and the kids were laughing, except for Atta and Rosie, who were extremely shocked.
"This'll be a payback," Rosie whispered.
"Maybe. Not sure?" Atta replied with kind of concern.
"Oh, it's so on, honey!" Rosie said with a smile, and chased Dim while taking out her whip, lashing it to the ground, all around.
"Can't catch me, friend!" Dim taunted cheerfully as he shook his hindquarters at her.
Suddenly, Rosie lashed her whip in front of Dim, which caused him to fall forward. Then, she scuttled over to him, and started the ticklish action. Feeling the tickle from Rosie, Dim giggled, and laughed out.
"Oh, oh, OH! Rosie! Rosie, STOP! That— that tickles! CUT IT OUT!" Dim choked out while laughing.
Rosie chuckled as she let go of Dim.
"What was that for?" Dim asked.
"That's because you gave us a scare! It's a payback now," Atta responded with a snicker.
As the others laughed out, Dim began laughing, too.
Time progressed until night, the circus troupe stayed in Ant Island for that time because of losing their jobs while quitting at the circus thanks to their boss P.T. Flea.
But before they go to sleep in their dens, they shouted together at the ant colony with pride,
"Happy April Fools!"
As the colony cheered, the rest of the bugs headed back inside the anthill to sleep in after they all bid each other goodnight.
Flik, Atta, Dot, Valian, Flika, Richie, Adrianna and their pet aphid, Aphie, slept in their room; Manny and Gypsy, including Ramona and Lukas slept into one; Molt, Francis, Heimlich and Slim slept into one; Tuck and Roll slept into one; Dim and Rosie slept into one, while Gina and Shadow did the same.
