Hey guys, I just woke up one day and had the urge to write a story, it's just something I did on a whim and have no written plan for the future. Let me know if it's worth continuing!

The wind whistled gently, caressing Sakura's delicate features. Contrary to the winds placid movements, Sakura's heart was racing out of fury…but she kept her composure. She'll never lose her cool, not now – not ever.

She looked up at the burnt orange sky, the fiery orb slowly receding into the waters below. The sun was retiring for the day, as she should be, but here she was, in front of a figure she hoped that she would never have to come across for the remaining of her life. Her eyes flickered from the sky to his ebony hair – the colour which absorbs all light – a struggle between good and evil, right and wrong, the representation of darkness, evil, mystery and despair…all the elements he seemed to possess in the past.

She slowly moved her emerald eyes to his slender loose fingers, the same fingers that were wrapped around her fragile throat, the same fingers that held a sword against her throat, the same fingers…

She darted her eyes into his orb, not a single sound, not even the birds were challenging the eeriness in the air. Whilst recollecting the appalling memories, she wanted nothing but to punch him in the gut. The pain he caused for Naruto, for Sakura, for team 7, for Konoha 11 was deafening, and here he was back again, like nothing ever happened. The war was over, the city was alive again, everyone was happy again, everyone apart from her.

'' I want nothing to do with you, Sasuke.'' She exclaimed ever so gently, so gently that if it were any quieter, one would think it were the whispers of the wind.

''Why?'' he questioned nonchalantly. If he noticed the discomfort in her eyes, he would never mention it, because that's who he is - Uncaring and aloof.

She merely scoffed at his inquiry. Why? Why was that even a question? Surely, he knows why. Was he playing dumb? Sakura didn't have time for games. After a long day at the hospital, she wanted nothing but to go into her slumber and reap some sleep.

Sakura didn't want to engage in this trivial conversation only longer, she regained her posture and brushed by him, not wavering a single look at his way. Sasuke didn't go to stop her, he simply turned his head to watch her figure disappear.

Sakura dropped onto her bed with a heave. Her mind rushing with questions, with wonders. She stared into the low ceiling, the house awfully quiet, the white noise ringing in her ears. Her parents died during the war, so the house was eerily quiet. Her mind darted from Naruto to Hinata to Ino to Sai. Most of the Konoha 11 members were romantically involved. She was overjoyed for her friends partnering up. It was about time after all and soon enough, they would get married. Sakura chuckled and smiled at the thought.

Her mind suddenly shot to a raven-head figure. Her smile faltered and her mood was dampened once again. Why did he have to come back? He made everything uncomfortable…or was she the only one uncomfortable? Was she overexaggerating? She violently shook her head at the thought. 'No, this is all his fault'. She thought. He damaged the team and relationship beyond repair, and repaid with nothing but longing, hopelessness, despair, and anguish. The idea of ever being romantically engaged with somebody was also shattered by him. However, gradually she became accustomed to the single life, she'd never have to struggle with relationship problems, and she was grateful for that. She just wanted a peaceful life with her friends.

Her friends – minus Sasuke. Now that he was around, she'd see him often which she despaired.
'Maybe I should go on a long-term mission…?' she wondered. It was a tempting idea.

''Ugh'', she groaned and let sleep drag her away into the dream realm.
