Long before the age of Quirks, humanity was often threatened by great and terrible monsters, aliens from other worlds, and kaijus that had been sleeping beneath the Earth for millions of years. Earth's attempts to defeat these monsters were futile, and every day the flame of hope grew ever dimmer. But then, humanity's salvation arrived from beyond the stars—a silver giant who wielded the power of light and reignited the fire within the human soul—the one called Ultraman.
And throughout the decades, more Ultramen would arrive on Earth to defend us from any extraterrestrial threat. Eventually, the invasions stopped, and the Ultras soon left Earth with humanity no longer in need of their protection. The Age of Aliens became a distant memory as the Emergence Age began.
On a warm summer night in Qing Qing City, China, the first human born with superpowers, called Quirks, was born, and humanity was thrown into an age of chaos. Day after day, more Quirked children were born with incredible abilities ranging from telekinesis to shapeshifting. Many scientists say that if it weren't for the chaos of the Emergence Age, humans would have colonized the stars by now.
Soon, noble individuals stepped forward to use their Quirks to save people and fight against those who would attempt to take advantage of the chaos for their own selfish desires. As more and more people developed Quirks, the strange became normal as the Age of Heroes began.
For almost a century, humanity remained in a state of relative peace. While villains still roamed the globe and tried to wreak havoc, the heroes were there to keep them in check.
But all that changed thirty years ago. Twin cosmic events known as the Ultra Flares and Dark Lightning Energy unleashed waves of giant monsters. Opportunistic aliens tried to take advantage of the chaos to invade and conquer Earth. The heroes and the military did their best to fight back against the invaders & monsters. Still, they found themselves outmatched by the sheer destructive power before them. Even All Might struggled against these monsters.
At their darkest hour, when the spark of hope was threatened to be smothered and extinguished entirely, salvation returned in the form of an Ultraman named X. The tides began to change as Ultraman X arrived. He and his allies defeated the Greeza, the Ultra Flares, and the Dark Lightning source.
And unlike the Ultras before him, X stayed on Earth to act as its stalwart guardian, planning for the next invasion, should it ever occur.
The Xeno Invasion Outcutters, known simply as XIO, who fought alongside X, expanded to a massive rescue force, ever vigilant of any and all alien activity. They also continued their other goal of finding a way for Kaijus and Humans to live in peace together. The Hero Association also reorganized itself, training future heroes to handle crisis situations alongside XIO.
My name is Ochako Uraraka. And this is the story about how my friends and I saved the world.

Ultrawoman Cross
Chapter 1: The First Encounter
Jupiter's Orbit…
In the endless sea of stars, two glowing spheres smashed against each other over Jupiter's moon, Ganymede, one purple and one blue. Eventually, the blue sphere knocked the purple sphere onto the lunar surface. The sphere dissipated as it crash-landed and revealed a creature, half-organic half-machine, with four green eyes and two rows of sharp teeth. It was overall insectoid in appearance, mostly silver cybernetics with dark purple segments mixed in, especially around the chest and visor.
As the creature got back up, it saw the blue sphere land on the moon and dissipate.
"Hmph. You Ultras are so damn persistent," the cyborg spoke in a low, feminine voice.
The being that stepped out of the sphere was a silver & blue giantess, with hints of gold around her chest armor and head. She had silver patterns running down her from her lower torso to her knees, matching her silver wristbands. Her head had three-horned segments, with the middle one being primarily blue. In the middle of her chest was a blue diamond-shaped object outlined with gold.
"When it comes to delivering scum like you to justice, an Ultra never gives up. Especially when they're a member of the Space Garrison," the giantess spoke, her yellow eyes shining with determination.
"Ha! Talk about stuck-up!" the cyborg said as she held out her left hand. Energy poured out from her chest cavity, data given life. The data energy swirled around her open hand and coalesced into a vicious curved blade. The cyborg charged at the Ultra, but the blue & silver alien leaped over her foe just as she swung her sword.
Landing behind her, the blue Ultra was quick to strike, hitting the cyborg with a series of palm strikes that disorientated her opponent. But the cyborg was fast to react with another data stream, this time manifesting a twin-barreled gun on her right gauntlet.
"Rapid Data Bullet!" The cyborg unleashed a barrage of green bullets that knocked the giantess back, causing her to stagger a bit. The four-eyed alien charged with her blade, but the Ultra quickly manifested a circular energy shield in front of her. The giantess rolled to the side using this momentary distraction and brought her arms together in an L-shape.
"Wide Cross Shot!" A blue stream of cosmic energy launched from the Ultra Warrior's arms, knocking the blade out the cyborg's hand and forcing her on her back. "It's the end of the road for you, Jagerin."
"Wait, wait, wait!" the cyborg quickly spat out as she held her hands up. "I-I can tell you what my job was! Just don't kill me!"
"Very well. Enlighten me," the giantess replied as she offered her hand to her downed foe. "What were you planning on doing with those monster body parts?"
"I…" Jagerin began to say as they seemed to reach out to grab the blue Ultra's hand. "...am not gonna tell ya jack shit!"
Before the giantess had a chance to react, the cyborg reached up and grabbed her by the neck, her mechanized strength putting immense pressure on the silver & blue alien. Jagerin laughed as she stood back up, lifting the ultra off her feet as she did so.
"Hah! I can't believe you fell for that! You heroic types are so damn gullible!" the cyborg proclaimed as the blue ultra continued to struggle. "You and that partner of yours caused me a ton of trouble. Maybe after I've ripped that gem from your chest, I'll go back to your galaxy and kill her too."
As Jagerin continued to gloat, she failed to notice the giantess raised her left arm towards the cyborg's chest.
"Don't worry; your corpse won't go to waste. I'm sure I can find someone looking for a sample of some Ultra DN-AAAGGHH!"
Without warning, a blade of pure green light shot out from the blue Ultra's bracer, stabbing Jagerin through her stomach. With a strained yell, the giantess swung her arm, slashing the cyborg across the chest, gears flying out, and hydraulic fluid staining the surface of the moon. Screaming in pain, Jagerin dropped the Ultra warrior, grasping the hole in her chest.
"Y-you…HOW DARE YOU?!" Jagerin blared. "Forget the harvesting! I'LL BLAST YOU INTO STARDUST!"
The upper cavity of the four-eyed cyborg's chest opened up, revealing an energy emitter as green energy gathered around the tip. The giantess looked up and saw this oncoming attack. She knew she had to think of something quickly as she stood up, energy gathering in her palms.
"MAXIMUM HUNTER CANNON!"
"SPACIUM BARRIER!"
The giantess created a multi-layered energy barrier right as Jagerin fired a devastatingly powerful energy beam that clashed against the barrier. But the barrier was found wanting as the beam crashed through layer by layer. The energy beams shattered the barrier and consumed the blue Ultra, who let out a pained cry as she faded into light particles. The beam eventually faded, Jagerin's chest cavity closing.
"There…that'll teach you to interfe-"
Jagerin fell face-first onto Ganymede's surface with her energy drained, her four eyes blinking before shutting down.
Unbeknownst to anyone within this galaxy, this was merely the start of the next grand epic in its history.
Earth, Four Months Later…
(My Hero Academia OST - Bright & Cheerfully)
"Alrighty, looks like you saved 2, 500 yen," a grocery store clerk said as he rang up a customer.
"Thank you," the customer said with a smile. The customer was a girl in her early teens with brown hair in a medium-length bob haircut. She had two dimples on her cheeks, making it look like she had a permanent blush.
"See ya next week, Oozori!" the girl said with a cheerful smile, leaving the grocery store with a bag in each hand.
"You too, Uraraka."
The brunette walked out of the store, passing by the other people going about their day in Mie Prefecture. The city of Jakuto was a small town sitting on the shore of a massive lake. The girl was on a chore run for her parents and was currently heading towards the bus stop. Uraraka sat on the bench, texting her mom that she was on her way back home.
"Get 'em, X!" The brunette turned and saw three teenage boys watching something on one of their phones.
"What's going on?" Uraraka asked as she looked over their shoulders.
"Ultraman X an' XIO are fightin' a bunch of weird duplicating aliens in Russia," one of the boys explained. He lifted up his phone to show Uraraka a live broadcast of an armored silver & red giant battling a seemingly endless group of gray, lobster-like aliens. The giant got blindsided by a laser attack from behind. However, three streams of light appeared near X. When the light faded, three cybernetic monsters stood by his side. One had large claws, one had a pair of antennae on its head, and the other resembled a fat bird.
"Alright! They called in the Cyber Kaijus!"
"Kick their ass, Eleking!"
"Wow!" Uraraka said in amazement as Ultraman X and the cybernetic version of Gomora, Eleking, and Bemstar began their battle against the army of Baltan aliens. Earlier, the brunette had seen the debut of that new hero in Mustafa called Mt. Lady. And now Ultraman and his friends were taking on an alien invasion.
But such was the case of their world. While the fantastical was commonplace, such feats still inspired awe. As Uraraka waited for her bus, she thought about what she was going to do with her life. In a few weeks, the brunette would graduate from middle school, aiming to enroll in the prestigious UA Academy. Or at least, she was going to try. As the alma mater for several renowned heroes and XIO agents, the bar to enter UA was as high as it could be.
To be honest, Uraraka wasn't sure if she could make the cut. Sure, her parents believed her quirk was amazing, but every parent says that about their kid. She just wasn't sure she had anything about her that would make her stand out against any other applicant.

However, she was pulled from her train of thought when the ground began to shake. All around the town, car alarms went off, objects fell over, and street lights flickered. And suddenly, something massive burst from the ground, creating a dust cloud that enveloped a dozen city blocks.
When the dust faded, the townsfolk were in awe and terror at what they saw. Standing ten stories high was a black & grey robot that looked like an anthropomorphic mole. Its claws were the size of train cars, its nose was a giant drill, and it had a strange conduit on its belly. With a mechanized yell, the creature swung its claw, demolishing the building next to it.
"Attention, All Citizens! There is a monster attack in progress! Please report to the nearest shelter!" The emergency channel broadcasted over the town's P.A. system, televisions, computers, and cell phones. "Repeat: There is a monster attack in progress! Please report-"
It was absolute chaos as the townsfolk tried to run away from the mechanical menace, who continued to smash, slash, and stomp over anything it could find. As Uraraka ran with the crowd, she tried to call her parents, only to drop it as someone bumped into her. "Hey!"
(Music End)
Meanwhile…
In an undisclosed location was a laboratory filled to the brim with technology advanced beyond the wildest dreams of anyone on Earth.
"YAHOO!" A small spherical red robot cheered as it floated through the air. "Congratulations, Master! Morutron Mark 1 is so cool!"
"Indeed it is, J0-E," an ape-like man in a dark pink lab coat proclaimed as they watched footage of Morutron tearing the small town apart. "This test run is going swimmingly so far. With X and his lackeys busy in Russia, this is the perfect chance to unleash my genius."
By moving the joysticks on his chair, the ape-man laughed as Morutron smashed everything around it. "You puny masses should be grateful! Yours is but a small sacrifice to prove the genius of Dr. Oozaru!"
Back in Jakuto…
Chaos was all that was around Uraraka. The townsfolk were running away as fast as they could while Morutron roared in the distance. The local officers and heroes were attempting to corral the citizens to shelters and safe zones. However, they were still overwhelmed by the panicking masses. However, Uraraka saw a trio of red jet/car hybrid machines flying above them. The wind flowing around the teenage girl as she saw them fly towards the rampaging robot.
"It's XIO!" Uraraka cheered, a sense of hope washing over the crowd.
"Beta Team: Open Fire!"
The three over-tech machines flew towards the mole-like robot and fired a laser barrage at the machine. However, Morutron's red eyes glowed. A crimson force field surrounded the robot, easily deflecting the XIO Sky Musketties' laser blasts. The airborne trio passed by and attempted to make another run.
However, Morutron's back opened up, revealing several silos. A barrage of surface-to-air missiles launched from its back, locked onto the XIO squadron. Two of the high-tech aircraft managed to evade or shoot down the missiles that targeted them. However, their wingmate wasn't lucky as a stray missile blasted apart one of the Sky Musketty's wings.
The pilot attempted to separate the car module from the jet module, but the attack had fried the separation mechanism. The XIO Agent grabbed his divisor and pressed the eject button. As he was sent into the air, he spread his red wings and glided down to a nearby building. The pilot took off his helmet, revealing his short blond hair and red eyes.
"Yikes," the man said as he saw his Sky Musketty crash into a nearby street. "The boss is gonna have my ass for this." He then activated his divisor. "This is agent Takami. The big tin can shot me out of the sky."
"Are you hurt?" A male voice asked.
"Naw, just a bit winded," Takami said before turning back to watch as his wingmates battled against the mole mecha. "Requesting permission for Cyber Kaiju realization."
"Satellite Scans show that the surrounding area is totally evacuated. Realization Authorized."
"Roger!" With that, Takami tapped on his divisor's screen, manifesting a card in front of it. The red-winged man then grabbed the card and slid it into the front case.
Now loading Cyber Red King!
(Return of Ultraman OST - MAT Theme AKA Wandaba)
In a flash of light, an object that looked like an action figured-sized manifested above the divisor. It was a mechanical bipedal creature with a long tail and massive forearms with black & orange coloring. Takami took hold of the doll and looked at it with fondness.
"Let's show off, partner." Takami placed the action figure on the circular scanner.
Realize!
In a blinding flash of light, a gigantic version of Cyber Red King manifested in front of Morutron, now fully mobile and raring for a fight.
"If long-range weapons don't work, they'll just have to beat him the old-fashioned way!" Takami shouted into the divisor. "Kick its ass, Red King!"
The cyber kaiju roared and began to stomp towards Morutron, each footstep echoing across the city.
Back in his secret lab, Oozaru smirked at the sight of the beast.
"GAAAAGHH! They summoned a Cyber Kaiju!" J0-E cried out.
"Don't panic, my spherical compatriot," Dr. Oozaru said as he gripped the controls. "This is merely an opportunity to test Morutron's full power. Bring it on, XIO!"
The two mechanical creatures stomped towards each other. They struck each other simultaneously, creating a shockwave that was felt even many blocks away.
"Woah," Uraraka said, watching that battle in awe. "So this is what it's like when two kaiju fight."
"Hey, young lady!" Uraraka turned and saw a man in a full-body green & white costume, with an equally green scarf around his neck.
"Wind-Walker?!" Uraraka said, surprised by the appearance of the town's local hero.
"There's no time for rubberneckin'! You gotta leave before the fight spreads out!"
"R-Right...but…"
"No buts, missy. Just let XIO do their job while you scoot to the nearest shelter. Got it?"
The brunette straightened up and saluted. "Yes, sir!" She proclaimed before heading off, the masked hero sweat dropping.
(Music End)
"The salute wasn't necessary," the hero said before looking in the distance. Cyber Red King blocked a claw strike its forearms, swinging them to deflect the claw before punching the mole robot with both its fists, pushing it back. As he watched the fight, Wind-Walker scowled under his mask, feeling utterly useless.
Then again, such was the plight of the small-time, local hero. He was no Endeavor or All Might. Hell, he wasn't even on the level of Fourth Kind. He was just some schmuck with a light wind-manipulation quirk who defended his hometown from gangsters and the occasional supervillain.
But giant robots, this was beyond his capabilities. So all he could do was make sure the townsfolk were safe and let the experts handle the mechanical terror.
'Here I go,' Wind Walker thought to himself, using his wind quirk to blast off and help with the evacuation.
Back with Uraraka, she decided to go through an alleyway to avoid the large crowd. The young girl was terrified that something was happening in her hometown. And even worse, she couldn't stop worrying about her parents, hoping that they would make their way out too. But suddenly, the brunette was taken out of her thoughts when she heard crying.
Exiting the alley, Uraraka saw a little girl with a lizard mutant-quirk, possibly no older than four or five years old, standing in the middle of the empty street, bawling her eyes out.
"Papa! Where are you?! Papa!"
'She must've gotten separated from her dad,' Uraraka thought to herself and rushed to help the girl.
But at the same time, Morutron and Cyber Red King's brawl became increasingly violent. Buildings all around them came crashing down as the titans clashed. The two XIO fighters decided to use the fight to launch another attack, hoping that the clash with Red King would distract it from deploying its forcefield.
"FIRE!" The two machine hybrids unleashed another laser barrage. Still, the barrier did appear partially over Morutron's back to block the blasts.
"Dammit. The barrier's automatic," Takami said, groaning both in frustration and the strain of his connection to Red King. The mechanical beast then used its drill nose to knock Cyber Red King into a nearby building, demolishing the structure. Morutron then turned towards the airborne XIO machines and launched another missile barrage. The two fighters managed to evade and shoot down most of the missiles...save for a stray missile that flew off course.
As for where it landed, that was the unfortunate part as the missile hit the top of a building near Uraraka and the lizard girl. The brunette saw the building start to collapse and ran faster towards the girl.
"Hang on!" Ochako said as she placed all ten of her fingers on the girl, a pink light showing her quirk was activated. "GO!"
With the effect of gravity no longer affecting the surprised lizard girl, Uraraka pushed her out of the way...right as a massive piece of debris crashed on top of the brunette. The lizard girl was then caught by a leaping Wind-Walker.
"Are you okay?" The local hero asked. The shaken girl slowly nodded.
"Y-Ya. But…there was an older girl that saved me. Is…is she okay?"
Wind-Walker turned his head, his throat clenching as he saw the street behind covered in massive debris. Anyone who would've been on that street would have constantly been crushed by the flotsam.
"I-I'm sure she got somewhere safe." The masked hero stated. "And we should get ya somewhere safe too. Okay?"
"Okay." And with that, the local hero and the girl left the street, neither of them seeing the small ball of blue light that flew underneath the boulder that crushed Uraraka.
"...wake up."
"Huh?"
"Wake up, Ochako Uraraka."
Ochako opened her eyes and saw that she was floating in a void of blue light.
"Where...where am I?"
"You are within my personal Ultra Space," a woman's voice proclaimed. Ochako turned her head, and her eyes widened as she saw a blue & silver giantess.
"You...you're an Ultraman!" Ochako shouted in shock, causing the giantess to tilt her head with curiosity.
"Hmph. So you know about my kind," the giantess stated. "My name is Cross, a science officer of the Space Garrison."
"Oh, you're a woman," Ochako said, just now noticing her voice and curves. "Ah, so you would be Ultrawoman Cross."
"I suppose. You seem to be in good spirits considering what just happened."
"What happened?"
"You died."
"EHHHH?!" The brunette shouted in shock. "I DIED?! Wait, what about that little girl?! Is she-"
"She's safe. A man with the colorful costume caught her."
"Really? Thank goodness," Ochako said in relief before her smile turned into a frown. "So, I'm really dead?"
"Yes. But there is a chance for you to come back to life." Cross proclaimed, getting Ochako's attention. "You see, my physical body was destroyed in a previous fight, and I haven't been able to properly manifest. But if we merge on the molecular level, not only will I be able to exist on the physical plane once more, but your life will be saved."
"But if we merge, will I still be…well, me?"
"Of course. Your mind will always be yours."
"…are you sure you want to merge with me? I'm not really anything special."
"I disagree. I saw you save that girl. Despite the danger to yourself, you did not hesitate to save her life. Yours is a selfless and noble heart, Ochako. The kind of which is coveted within the Space Garrison. So I ask you; Will you merge with me and help me defeat that machine destroying your home?"
Just like before, Ochako clenched her fist before looking the Ultra in the eye. "Alright, let's do this."
"Excellent." Suddenly, Cross transformed into two blue lights, one moving towards Ochako's left wrist and the other to her right hand. The lights faded to reveal a blue & gold bracer and a crystal-like hexagon with Cross' visage upon it. "Just follow my instructions; Activate the Ultra Key, insert it into the Cross Bracer's keyhole, turn it, then slide the gold plate up. After that, all you need to do is hold your bracer arm up and shout a word or words of power."
"Right," Ochako said, taking a look at the key. By pressing on the face, a dark blue set of key teeth slid out of the hexagon. Following Cross's instructions, Ochako placed the key in the silver cylinder's keyhole and turned it. She then slid the gold plate up the bracer, pushing the cylinder and key into the bracer and causing the key to glow.
Ultra Key: Cross!
Ochako about what words she should say, only remember a phrase she had heard before. She recalled an interview with the hero Thirteen and the motto of their alma mater.
"Go beyond…" Ochako whispered before thrusting her left arm into the air. "PLUS ULTRA!"
A cyclone of blue and gold energy began to spiral around Ochako as her body began to change. Soon, Ultrawoman Cross was standing in Ochako's place. The blue & silver ultra then began to rise, growing larger and larger until she achieved her true height.
In reality, a blue light burst from the rubble and blasted towards Morutron, smacking it away from the downed Cyber Red King.
(Ultraman Anime OST - Ultraman)
"What?" Takami said as the blue light faded before Red King, revealing the towering form of Cross, much to the shock of the XIO Agents, Dr. Oozaru, Wind-Walker, and the townsfolk. "It's an Ultra...woman?"
"Ultra detected! Ultra detected! This is bad! Really bad!" J0-E freaked out as he flew around everywhere.
"Calm down! This is merely an unseen variable," Dr. Oozaru proclaimed as he looked at Cross through Morutron's visual feed. Truthfully, he hadn't anticipated the appearance of an Ultra Warrior. But he wouldn't let this opportunity to test Morutron's might go to waste.
"Cha."
In the meantime, Cross stared down her opponent, taking a combat stance with her right palm held out. As the mechanical menace stood up once more, Cross ran towards her foe, attacking with a flying knee to the chest. Morutron attempted to swipe at the ultrawoman with its claws, but Cross managed to evade the left arm and blocked the right arm. But then Morutron kicked the blue ultra back before following up with a claw strike.
However, Cross recovered by rolling and standing back up. She then held her arms out the sides, each hand having its pointer and middle fingers extended. Blue electricity flowed around the fingers while her horn jewel began to glow.
"Neutron Wave!" Cross brought her hands to forehead crystal, firing a powerful green energy blast from her horn at Morutron. And like before, the forcefield appeared, managing to block the shot.
"Just how strong is that forcefield?" Ochako asked from within Ultrawoman Cross. Suddenly, jets from Morutron's feet ignited, the robot flying at the ultra warrior with its drill nose spinning. Cross managed to grab Morutron the shoulders, stopping the drill from stabbing her. But then, the drill nose opened up, revealing a laser emitter. The laser fired, sending Cross crashing into a nearby building.
As the blue & silver giantess got back up from the wreckage, she saw her mechanical foe launch another barrage of missiles at her. "Chaya!" Cross took off into the air, with the missiles flying after her. The giantess quickly turned and launched a Wide Cross Shot to blast the missiles apart. Morutron continued to fire until it emptied its payload, all of the rockets destroyed by the airborne ultra warrior.
Deciding to take a different approach, Cross floated high above, glaring down at Morutron. "Ultra-Scan."
Cross's yellow eyes glowed as her vision zoomed in on Morutron. The robot appeared transparent as she saw its inner workings. And quickly, she found the high-tech main battery had powered the creature. "There it is."
The blue giantess then gathered energy in her right hand before swiping in a vertical arc. "Arrow Rain!" A barrage of arrow-shaped green energy blasts rained down upon Morutron, its barrier automatically deploying to block the shots. But Cross acted quickly, landing in front of her metallic foe and rearing her right palm back, energy pulsing around her hand.
"Crossium Pulse!" In a flash, Cross thrust her palm against the mole-like machine, a pulse of energy flowing around the machine until the energy reached the primary battery, shorting it out and causing Morutron to shut down temporarily.
"Not good! Not good!" J0-E cried out as an irate Oozaru attempted to quickly activate Morutron's backup battery.
'Out of all things I could anticipate, an Ultra Warrior with an EMP attack was certainly not one of them!'
Cross could see Morutron's backup batteries on the verge of activating with her Ultra Scan and decided to finish this fight there and then. The giantess held her right arm towards her shoulder with her knees braced, and a green energy blade appeared from her wrist bracer.
"Lightwave Cross Slash!"
Cross dashed towards her opponent, swinging her Lightwave Sword to slice right through Morutron's armor and through the central battery. The giantess stopped just behind her opponent, her sword arm still held out. Electricity started to spark from Morutron, its top-half beginning to slide off before the central battery detonated, the mole robot exploding into a massive pillar of flames.
(Music End)
"She…SHE WON!" Someone among the civilians cheered. And soon enough, all of the Jakuto City residents were cheering, shouting words of encouragement to the Ultrawoman. The alien giantess looked at the humans with an inquisitive look before raising her arms and taking off into the air, vanishing in a streak of light.
Back in his lair, Oozaru glared at the status screen, showing that Morutron was destroyed.
"Professor?" J0-E asked in concern. All he got was a sigh of frustration.
"Live and learn, J0-E. That's the only way progress can happen." The ape-man proclaimed as he stood up from his control station. "Time to get started on the next innovation."
"Yes, sir!" The spherical robot said as he flew towards the main lab, his creator following behind him. As he walked, Oozoru thought of all the enemies he needed to eventually defeat to achieve his ambition. Ultraman X. XIO. And now this new Ultrawoman.
Whatever his next creation would become, Oozaru knew he needed it to be powerful to destroy all of them. Ochako and Cross didn't know it, but on that day, they made a powerful enemy.
Later…
"Have you seen this girl?" A dirty blond man in his mid-forties asked as he showed someone a picture of Ochako on his phone. It was about an hour after Morutron's rampage and destruction. XIO rescue workers, regular workers, and some local heroes from neighboring cities had arrived to help people, setting up temporary shelters until repairs could be made to the city.
"Can't say I have. I hope ya find her," the man said as he walked towards one of the temporary shelters. And so, Hiede Uraraka continued to look for a daughter until…
"Dad!" Hiede turned and saw Ochako running towards him, hugging as they reunited. So relieved was the older man that he didn't even notice the bracelet made of blue beads on her left wrist. With light tears in her eyes and a smile, Ochako said, "I lost the groceries."
"Oh, that's okay, sweetie," Hiede said, kissing her daughter's forehead. "I'm just glad you're safe. Cmon, let's go find your mother."
"Got it," Ochako said, looking around and smiling when she saw the lizard girl from earlier hugging her parents.
'Say, Ochako.'
'Geez, Cross!' Ochako thought back in shock. 'Warn me before you do that!'
'Sorry, but I've noticed something weird about your genetic make-up. There seems to have some kind of strange genome that, if I'm analyzing it correctly, lets you manipulate gravitons. What is that?'
'Oh, that's just my Quirk.'
'Quirk. Hm, interesting.'
'This is gonna take some getting used to.' Ochako thought to herself as she followed her father.
So much happened that day that would change my life forever. That was the first day I ever saved anyone and the day I met my best friend.
And at the time, I had no idea that this was just the beginning of our adventures together.
Epilogue…
"Wow! An actual Ultrawoman!" A young blonde-haired girl said as she watched a news report of Cross's battle with Morutron. Her hair was styled in two messy buns, her golden eyes wide with delight as she watched the battle. Her outfit consisted of a typical schoolgirl uniform with a pale yellow sweater over her shirt. "Can you believe it?"
All the girl got was muffled screaming from a teenage boy who was tied to a chair with duct tape over his mouth and tears running down his eyes. He could hardly believe this was happening. One minute, he and his parents were eating dinner and watching TV. Then there was a knock at the door, and a frail old woman said her car had broken down and her phone was dead, asking if she could rest in their home while she waited for a tow truck. As soon as she'd stepped into their apartment, the old woman transformed into the girl, slit his father's throat, stabbed his mother in the chest, and then gagged and bound him as she collected his parent's blood into different vials from her backpack. The girl only stopped her blood collecting when she saw the news footage of the Ultrawoman fighting a giant robot.
"Hey, do you think Ultras have blood?" The girl suddenly asked him as she stood up. "I mean everything living has blood. Oh, can you even imagine what an Ultra's blood would taste like?"
The boy swore to god that it sounded like this crazy girl was aroused by this thought. But then, she turned around, and his eyes widened in terror as he saw the insane look in her cat-like eyes.
"But enough speculating, cutie. Time to dig in."
As the blood-obsessed girl went to work on her next victim, six glowing green eyes appeared on her cell phone screen inside her backpack before fading to black.
Author's Note 2: Last year was tough on everyone. But during my time in quarantine (as much I can be in quarantine since I work at a grocery store), I fell head over heels for the Ultra Series. While I've been a Tokusatsu fan for most of my life, once I got into Ultraman, it quickly became one of my favorite franchises of all time.
I've been wanting to do an Ultraman story for a while, going through several concepts and ideas. I decided to make it a crossover with My Hero Academia since I figured that crossing over a series that gave birth to a vast majority of heroic Japanese tropes with one of the most popular shonen hero series in recent memory. And it's also an AU sequel to Ultraman X because X is awesome and tends to get overshadowed by Orb.
This story has gone through various stages. First, it was a story that had Izuku turning into Ultraman Victory, then Ochako turning into Ultraman Z, and finally, we got this version with my own original Ultrawoman.
If you guys want to read more about my inspirations/where I got my ideas, you can check out my Tumblr for the full details, mainly to keep these author notes from being too long. My Tumblr's called 'navek15', by the way.
And in the spirit of the Ultra Series, I'll have our Ultra Host tease the next chapter. Take it away, Ochako!
Ochako: Life's definitely a lot stranger with Cross being in my head. Huh, there's a rumor about a giant robot dinosaur in a nearby town? Is it related to that mole robot? Wait a minute! There's an underground kaiju! What's wrong with its head?!
Next time on Ultrawoman Cross: Roar, Kinzoku Rex! Plus Ultra!
Please remember to read, favorite, and review to help this story!
See ya next time!
