"Satoshi? Are you awake?" Satoshi opened his eyes and found himself staring at the roof.
Satoshi proceeded to get out of his bed and looked outside "looks like another sunny day"
He looked to his left and saw his partner and best friend pikachu who was currently asleep on his bed
Satoshi smiled at him and shake a bit to wake him up "Oi pikachu wake up"
The yellow mouse eyes opened and looked at his trainer and yawned "Chaaaaaaa"
"Come on get up mom is calling us right now"
Pikachu got up and stretched his tiny limbs out "pika pika"
Satoshi smiled "Well now that your up let check what Mom wants"
Satoshi got up and checked his closet to see what he should wear "let see hmmm ah this is good"
He brought out a plan black shirts and pants along with a black jacket to match his clothes
He took out his sleeping clothes and proceeded wore the black clothes
As he finished dressing he looked at his partner and presented himself to him "so what do you think"
Pikachu just looked at him that just say "eh it okay you can do better"
Satoshi didn't like that and grumble "well what do you know lousy mouse"
A smug appeared on pikachu face as he jumped on satoshi shoulder
"Yeah yeah continue being smug will see who gets the last laugh"
As he was about to walk out Satoshi stop and looked at the mirror 'wow I really grew'
It been nearly 4 years since Satoshi journey in Sinnoh and decided to take a break from traveling he has really grown over these past 4 years.
After that they then went downstairs and saw Satoshi mother hanako currently cooking
"Morning Mom"
The woman looked back and smiled at her son
"Good morning Satoshi"
"So what going on today"
Hanako smiled at her son and answered "oh nothing much just that the professor wants you at the ranch"
A confused look appeared on his face "Professor Oak? Why?"
Hanako was in a thinking position and answered "Something about needing you to help him feed some pokemon in the ranch"
Satoshi Sighed. Again that was the fifth time this week
"Tell him I'll be there"
"I will!"
Satoshi proceeded to walk out of the door but then heard his mother trying to stop him "Wait don't you want to breakfast first!"
"I'll eat it later bye mom!"
He then ran out of the door with his mom screaming his name "SATOSHI!!!"
(2 hours Later)
We now see the trainer currently feeding his pokemon and playing around with them
"Thanks for helping around Satoshi" Satoshi turned around to see Professor Oak walking towards him
"It no problem Professor Oak Beside I like working around here and hang out with my pokemon anyway-OOFF"
Satoshi was then tackled on the ground by his bayleef who wanted a hug from her trainer. Professor proceed to laugh at the boys misfortune
"Hahahaha! I see bayleef is still fond of you"
"Bayleef get off me!"
"BAY BAY"
"Come on please"
Bayleef shook her head and continued to hug her trainer even harder causing him to nearly lose his breath. Fortunately his other pokemon came to the rescue and stopped the pokemon from crushing their trainer. Satoshi sighed in relief as he got up. The Professor smiled at him before he remembered something
"By the way Satoshi have you thought about traveling again"
Satoshi looked back at his professor and looked at him confused. Where did that come from? after all it been 4 years since he last went to another region
"No not really"
Professor Oak frowned at his answer
"why not?"
Satoshi sighed and looked up at the sky
"I guess I just lost my love for traveling"
Professor Oak's eyes widened for as long as he had known him. Satoshi always loved to travel; it was why he wanted to become a trainer. That and to become a pokemon master "why is that"
Satoshi sighed as he laid down on the ground "I don't know ever since the Sinnoh league I lost all motivation of training and my passion for battling and I don't know why"
The Professor layed down with as he looked at him "sounds like to me you need to find your motivation then"
Satoshi lowered his head "yeah but how I've tried revisiting some old regions but that didn't work I tried challenging the battle frontier again and temporarily became a frontier brains but that didn't work I'm just out of options"
The Professor crossed his arm and started thinking there must be some way to get Satoshi back his motivation but how? And then it hit him there is something he could do.
But first thing first he needs to make a couple of call
The Next day
"Satoshi? Are you ready?"
"Coming!-huh?"
As he walked out of his room wearing his hoodie on his head his phones in his pocket started to vibrate
"Who the hell is calling me-oh her"
A look of anger and annoyance graced his face once he saw the name of the Person and immediately ignored the call
"Like hell I'm gonna talk to her"
As he walked down the stairs he looked at his mother "So what's so special about today mom?"
Satoshi mom turned around and started to leave. "You'll have to find out."
Satoshi turned his head towards Pikachu while following his mother. "Wired wonder what's she hiding?"
Pikachu simply shrugged. Satoshi followed his mother and exited his house and lock the door.
Satoshi then looked back and saw his mother next to a taxi car gesturing him to get in
After he and his mother got into a car the driver took off and as he went out of Masara Town Satoshi asked his mother "You still haven't told me where we're going or what we're doing."
"You Just have to wait and see Satoshi." Satoshi sighed and looked out on the window as he recognized the route they were going through. It was the route towards Viridian City The route Satoshi took when he started his journey
Soon they were in Viridian City home to the 8th gym leader which had been expanded ever since Satoshi's last visit Speaking of the 8th gym?
'I wonder what those 3 morons are doing these days'
Ever since Satoshi came back from kanto he has not seen Team rocket in years now which made him awfully suspicious on what their doing
'Heh maybe they finally discovered there are more pokemon out there beside pikachu' Satoshi thought
As Satoshi was thinking back to all his journey he thoughts back to his last one Sinnoh which was by far the biggest region he's been to and the one he accomplished the most as He made it to the Top 4 in the Sinnoh League the farthest he has ever gotten in the League as he has defeated Nando,Conway and his biggest rival Paul.
And then he had to face a trainer with a team of Legendary Pokémon. And crushed his hopes and dreams right then and there.
"Satoshi! Hurry or you'll miss your flight!"
Hanako's distressed voice rang out, snapping Satoshi back to reality.
"Wait what?" Satoshi looked around and noticed they were at the new Viridian airport. "What the fuck? Why are we in the airport"
Satoshi stepped out of the car and to the back of the Taxi where his mother was. "Here Satoshi!" She tossed him a black and blue bag and was now pushing him towards the airport.
Satoshi was just confused. "Wait what's going on!?"
"I'll explain later Just go!" Hanako pushed him toward "Pikachu please take good care of Satoshi okay?" Pikachu let out a cry and hanako left the building
Satoshi stared at Pikachu. "What just happened?" Pikachu shrugged. Satoshi placed the bag's strap around his right shoulder so the bag was hanging on his right side. Satoshi then checked his wallet. It had cash, a credit card, some id, and a ticket.
Satoshi inspected the plane ticket It had a number on it, his seat number and his name But nothing about the location he was going to "Well Pikachu? Should we go?"
Pikachu nodded and Satoshi shrugged. He entered the terminal and found his plane. "Wonder where mom is sending us." Pikachu shrugged
When they found their seat Satoshi decided to see what his mother packed for him in his bag. "Let's see. Some Pokémon food brock recipe book. a Poketch. Some clothes, some potions, and a electronic map" Satoshi flipped open the map
"Says here were going to a place called Unova"
Pikachu tilted his head. "Pika?"
"I have no idea. But we'll be landing in a place called Nuvema Town."
Satoshi put the map back into his bag and continued to look through it. There was nothing else in his bag so Satoshi closed his bag and looked outside the plane window. The plane started to ascend into the sky.
As they lifted off Satoshi wondered what this region was like "I wonder what the Unova Region is like,"
Pikachu only shrugged before sleepinh on Satoshi lap Satoshi smiled at his pokemon before deciding to go to asleep as well
Unknown to them though a 3 mysterious looking were watching in the shadow
"Well well look who we have here"
"If it ain't the twerp"
"Who would have thought we would have run into after so long"
"He's certainly grown"
"Indeed Jessie"
(3 hours later)
After the ride Satoshi grabbed Pikachu and exited the plane."Now then," Satoshi pulled out his map.
"There's a place that been marked not too far from here. So let's go there."
Satoshi decided to walk towards the destination as he continued walking and stop as he arrived toward his destination
"Well looks like were here" Satoshi looked up before entering
"Hello? Is anyone here?" There appeared to be no one in sight. Satoshi was about to leave until he heard a voice
"Oh I'm sorry! Can I help you?" Satoshi turned around and saw a young looking woman wearing a white shirt and a green skirt with a long lab coat.
"Ah, sorry. I was just wondering, um," Satoshi had no idea what to say after all it been a while since he introduced himself to someone. "I'm Satoshi and I was wondering-"
"Ohhhhh You're Satoshi I'm sorry, I forgot you were arriving today" Satoshi looked confused. Apparently this woman knew he would be here before he did.
"Please, follow me." Satoshi shared a glance at Pikachu and followed.
They entered a room with a bed and a desk."Here, you can stay here for the night. I know it's not much, but it's all I have right now."
The woman turned towards Satoshi and gave him a smile. "Anyways, I am professor Juniper, the Professor of the Unova Region. It's nice to meet you Satoshi."
"Same here...Um, if you don't mind, can you explain to me what's going on My mom just sent me here without telling me anything." Satoshi was really hoping to get some answers at last.
"Of course, follow me," Satoshi followed Juniper to another room. This room had a lot of monitors in it.
"I think it's best if you hear everything from the perpetrators themselves."
Juniper pressed a button and soon two familiar faces were on the main monitor.
"Mom! Professor Oak!" Ash exclaimed. The two chuckled at his expression.
"Hello Ash. How are you enjoying Unova so far?" Oak asked.
Satoshi gave the Professor an accusation "don't you hello me you had something to do with this didn't you"
The professor sweatdrop as he was caught red handed "you caught me hehehehe" hanako then drop in to add "Professor oak explains to me about your lack of motivation and what you tried to do and he thought of a great idea"
Satoshi crossed his arm and gave the two an annoyed glare before sighing "well then explain" His mom and Oak looked at each other.
"Well Satoshi Every time you come home from your journey what do you do?"
Satoshi thought about it for a couple of minutes before realizing what their talking about "I leave for my next journey"
His mother nodded. "Exactly we believe that the only way to regain that lost motivation of yours is if you go on a new journey to a new region"
Satoshi frowned. As he realized that it might be true. But can he regain his lost motivation though?
"That why we decided to send you on this journey Juniper, if you will," Oak looked at Juniper who nodded. Satoshi turned towards her to see her holding a tray.
"Unova is filled with Pokémon that aren't found anywhere else in the world. What you may consider common in your region, like your pikachu here, would be really rare here. And the other way around. So this is a Pokedex for this region."
Satoshi looked at the rectangle device in surprise. As he hasn't had a new pokedex in years The five Pokeballs were self-explanatory. "I have also signed you up for the Unova League, your mother request." Satoshi looked back at the monitor.
"Hold up mom why do you want me to go on this journey weren't you happy that I was taking a break"
His mother nodded "yes I was happy but I know this is the right thing to do. Satoshi what I love about you is your love for adventure and I want you to gain that love back again Beside I know you to stay with me forever you free spirited to be stuck with me" hanako smiled at her son whose eyes widen at her speech before he started to smile at her and at Oak
"Thanks a lot mom, Professor Oak, and Professor Juniper. I'll give it a shot. I've been out of it for too long. And I will regain my love for adventure that a promise!"
The three adults smiled and Satoshi said goodbye to Professor Oak and his mother. "Alright Satoshi. I have a few things for you from your mother." Juniper handed Satoshi a duffle bag. "There's a tent and sleeping bag in there for you."
Satoshi graciously took the bag. He then bowed. "Thanks you Professor Juniper."
"That's not all Satoshi." She picked up a watch from the table. "This is called a Xtransceiver." Satoshi nodded and pulled it out of his wallet and gave it to Juniper. "This is kind of like a PokeGear, where you can talk to people through it. Only difference is that it has video chat. I've already token the liberty to register myself, Professor Oak, and your mother. And the Professor also took liberty to register some of your friend as well "
"Wow, thanks"
"I should also let you know, once you catch more than 6 Pokemon, any other Pokemon you catch will be sent to me instead of Professor Oak. It will make things simpler for you."
"I don't know what to say except Thanks again for all this Professor!" Satoshi thanked the Professor once again.
Juniper chuckled. "Well it's getting late. Tomorrow three new trainers will be here so I will have to give them their starter Pokémon. If you want, you can check them out tomorrow."
"Sure I don't mind checking them out"
Juniper smiled at Satoshi maturness most kids his age would be giddy seeing new pokemon "It's getting late. You should probably get some rest." satoshi nodded and head toward his room and lying down on the bed with his pikachu
"Well pikachu looks will be going on another adventure again you excited?" The Yellow mouse nodded causing satoshi to smile
"That's good to hear from me. I'm a bit nervous but also happy." Pikachu looked at him confused, happy?
Satoshi looked at his partner with a grin "happy to be back" Pikachu smiled and gave a grin himself
after that two went to sleep having no Idea what tomorrow will bring
