A/N: Alrighty, This is my Terminator project. I have literally been developing this concept for years, piecing together what makes sense and what doesn't. This is my crossover between 2 of James Cameron's greatest masterpieces. Unfortunately, within the Terminator franchise, there are multiple inconsistencies that have been created over the decades. So this story is unfortunately a AU that takes place after Terminator 2: Judgment Day (the best movie they ever made).
Sarah Connor: " Skynet, the computer which controlled the machines, sent two terminators back through time. Their mission: to destroy the leader of the human
Resistance... John Connor. My son. The first terminator was programmed to strike at me, in the year 1984... before John was born. It failed.
The second was set to strike at John himself, when he was still a child. As before, the Resistance was able to send a lone warrior. A protector for John. It defeated the machine, sending it plummeting to its fiery demise. It then sacrificed itself, for the greater good...making it possible to defeat Skynet once and for all.
Narrator POV: A dark sky was set over the destroyed city of Chicago. Cars and trucks laid in the streets, smashed and on fire. Buildings were destroyed and collapsed, as the streets were covered in debris. "WOO-HOO!" Yelled 2 soldiers as they shot into the air, celebrating their victory over Skynet's defeat. They grabbed a Metal Skull and kicked it around on the floor like a soccer ball. "Pass it to me!" Yelled one, named Craig. "Alright. Catch!" Yelled the other, named Steve. He kicked it hard, and it flew over Craig's head. It soared through the air and crashed onto the ground covered in a tarp only feet away from them. The skull sunk down with the tarp wrapped around it, as it fell into a hole in the floor.
"What was that?" Asked Steve. "I don't know, but let's check it out…" Craig replied. They walked over to the hole. "Look...it's some sort of bunker…". They then jumped down through the hatch. They landed with a thud, and looked around for a light as they stumbled through the darkness. "Eh, it's useless. Use your flashlight." They activated them and walked forward, looking around at destroyed T-Units and dead bodies. "Hey, look at that!". Steve said suddenly, as they both saw a platform and advanced computer systems. "This...looks like a time travel setup...check if it's still operational." Craig sat down at the computers and began pressing random buttons. After hitting a particular one, it turned on. "Sweet! It works. But it's requiring a password. Any ideas?"
Steve stared up at the air confused.. "Hmm...how about...Skynet 4Evr?"
Craig frowned at him. "Does this look like 2012 to you? What about something old? Something part of their past…".
Steve scratched his head while thinking, and then snapped his fingers. "Oh! Cyberdyne! Cyberdyne was the original company, right?"
"Right." Craig replied as he typed it in. But the computer denied it. "It says the password requires numbers as well.
Steve's head was practically smoking. "What was a big event for Skyne-... I mean Cyberdyne?"
Craig jumped up from his chair. "1984!" Steve arched his eyebrow as he looked questioningly. "What's so special about 1984? Ghostbusters? Karate Kid? Beverly Hills Cop?" Craig slapped his head in frustration. "No, dumbass. That was the year Skynet sent a T-800 on the first Infiltration mission to kill Sarah Connor."
"Ohhh. Right." Said Steve. Craig typed 1984 into the computer, but it loudly beeped as big red letters stretched across the screen. "Access Denied" "Damn It! What does it want?!?" Craig hissed. "Wait! I've Got It!" Steve yelled, a bit louder than he meant to. "What?" "Judgement Day!" Craig felt like a light switch was turned on. "Right! That makes sense! But...what year was Judgement Day?" "1997." Steve responded.
Craig imputed the code as he crossed his fingers. The screen showed a loading bar as it did previously. They waited in nervous anticipation, as the suspense was unbearable. Suddenly, the computer made a different noise as big green letters formed across the screen saying, "Access Granted". "Yes!" Craig yelled as pumped his fist in the air. The screen began racing with files and codes. "Heh, look at all of these failed missions and models." Craig chuckled as he looked at Steve, of which wasn't laughing at all. He looked at him with a stern face as Craig became uncomfortable. "What? What's wrong?" "It's not funny Craig. A lot of men, women and children died on those missions." Craig's smile disappeared as he acknowledged that his partner was right. "Hey. Wait a minute, what's that?" Steve said, as he pointed to a file on the top right corner of the screen.
Craig squinted as he read it aloud. "It says...Operation: Last Stand. It's not a battle I've ever been in and it's in the history books…So, this...somehow, must be recent."
Steve shook his head in denial. "Nah, no way. That's not possible. We destroyed the bastards once and for all!" Craig looked concerned as he clicked on the file.

"What the Fuck is this?!!" Craig yelled angrily. "It says they sent this today! But that's impossible...we destroyed them today!" Steve questioned. "They must have been desperate. The file says they sent a T-1000 model...that's an antique! That model hasn't been used since the Termination mission of 1991."
Craig squinted at the file, "Huh? This must be some sorta glitch…". Steve raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?"
Craig: "Look at the destination date, they set it for...1912, to terminate some people named Conniere. But Why?"
Steve: "Hold up...1912? Cherbourg, France? …no way…"
Craig: "what?"
Steve: "That date and location… match up with where the Titanic was at that point in history. But why would Skynet send a Terminator back to see a ship sink?"
Craig thought hard about it, and then suddenly snapped his head upwards. "I think I've got it! Do me a favor, trace back John Connor's ancestry, now." "Uh, you have the computer. Genius." Steve answered. "Oh. Right." Craig said as he logged into the resistance files. He kept scrolling downwards through the decades until he arrived in the early 1910's. "Here, check it out."
Mara Jade Doyle
Born: 1884
Age: Deceased
Relations: Pascal Claude Conniere (Husband), Hughe Connor (Son)
Bio: Raised a farmgirl in Ireland, Mara grew up in her father's household as an only child. She loved her parents deeply, but had to deal with the tragedy of losing her dear father to the flu. By 1902, at the age of 18, she graduated from the Academic School of Housekeeping. At age 20, she met her future husband Pascal Conniere in France. Though there was a considerable language difference. They had both learned English in their early schooling. Fast forwarding eight years in 1912. They both decided to start new lives in America, as life in Europe was uncomfortable. The colossal mega-ship, R.M.S Titanic had been just recently constructed and was going to travel to New York from Ireland. They were traveling in Third Class when history's most famous maritime disaster took place. Pascal drowned in the sinking, but Mara survived. She went on to change her name to Connor as she raised her son as a widow, never remarrying. She was interviewed on March 7th, 1970 at the age of 86. And died 14 years later at 100 years old on October 24, 1984.
"That's It! That's their plan! Sneaky little motherfu-..." "Hey! Hold on, what's their plan?" Steve quickly interjected, stopping his partner from saying such a horrendous word. Craig looked at him with fire in his eyes as his hatred for Skynet burned within him. "Do I have to highlight it Steven?! Isn't it obvious? Pascal and Mara Conniere are the long time ancestors of John Connor! Those bastards have never successfully been able to actually kill Sarah or John no matter what time they've traveled to! So this time, they're trying to get rid of the Connor family from the very beginning. It's their only choice...their Last Stand." Steve's eyes widened as he realised everything that was at stake. "Then what the hell are doing sitting here talking about it?! We have to do something! The T-1000 could already have killed them!"
Craig grabbed his gun and started to activate the time machine. "Woah, woah, wait! What are you doing?" Steve yelled. "To go stop them." Craig replied, as Steve shook his head. "We can't go back! What're you, nuts? Kyle Reese was killed by an old-ass T-101 model, what chance do you think we have against a T-1000? It'll dissect us before we can even get aboard." Craig looked down at the floor while he considered the odds. He then looked over to the side where a T-850 laid on the floor, motionless. He shot up from his chair and grabbed the lifeless robot. "What the hell are you doing?!" Steve asked as he grabbed his gun. "That thing could turn on and rip your face off!" Craig attempted to pick it up with a sudden heave. The endoskeleton was lifted into the air about an inch and then slumped back to the floor with a thud.
"Damn! Steve, Come help me! This shit's 400 pounds!" Reluctantly, Steve picked up the robot from its legs as they both picked it up with much strain and dropped it on a metal examination table with a very loud "CLANG!!!" Craig hooked up a wire directly stemming from the computer system to the back of the machine's head, where the port was. He typed commands into the computer as he hummed to himself. "Besides the obvious...what are you doing?" Steve asked, puzzled by the multiple command screens before him. "I'm trying to rewrite this thing's former protocol systems. But it's not easy, it's fighting me. The Terminator machines are programmed to exterminate humans on sight. This one's no different. So make sure not to wake it up...or there'll be hell to pay." Craig said, as he imputed the last command file and had it begin to load.

"Wait...Dammit, I forgot to get a donor for the T unit's exoskeleton." Craig said. "Well, try and look amongst the deceased list on Titanic's passengers. Preferably someone who didn't have much of a record." Steve suggested. Craig nodded as he searched through the list of those lost in the disaster. "Okay...check this out...this one seems perfect." "Let's hear it." Steve said. "Jack Dawson, 3rd class passenger. Hmm... I'm tracing through the records, but this guy seems to have no history...or anything for that matter. He's perfect because he never existed in the first place. Downloading his DNA code now…"

"Good, just waiting for the DNA copy to load. Then I can take the tin-can over to the replicator where we can coat it in the skin-..." Craig stopped speaking as he heard metallic footsteps behind them, getting closer and closer. They both turned around quickly with their guns aimed at whatever came close. Red eyes stared at them through the darkness, it crept closer and closer. "FIRE!" Craig yelled as they both opened fire at the Terminator drawing ever closer, the purple laser bolts firing from their future guns lit up the room. They could see this wasn't some T-101 they were used to. This was a T-70, an antiquated robot built in the early days of the war. The bolts deflected off it as it drew closer with that massive Gatling gun on its right arm spinning, getting ready to rip them both to shreds. Steve charged at it, striking its head with the butt of his gun. The machine showed no cognizance of the action. As it backhanded him across the room. It pointed its right arm as it tried to shoot him.
Craig charged at it, pointing its arm up in the air as the bullets fired up to the ceiling. Dust poured down on them as the machine punched Craig in the chest with its other arm, sending him flying to the floor. Yelling out loud in pain, as the machine had broken his rib. Steve slid next to him as the robot had thrown him there. It stood over them with its Gatling spinning, about to end their life. They both closed their eyes, expecting their fate. But instead they heard the loud clans of metal, as they looked up, the T-850 had the T-70 bound in the air.
The T-850 slammed the T-70 on the ground. Picking it up again, and striking it harshly. With each blow dealt, the T-70 shredded apart. Bits of steel plating and cyber wiring falling to the ground. Never in a million years could an antiquated T-70 model even have a hope of beating a T-850 in physical strength. It fired its arm gun in a desperate last defense, but the bullets simply ricochet off of the robot. The T-850 reached under its chest plating, ripping it off, showing its power source exposed. It grabbed its spark and ripped it out, as the T-70 shutdown with a whine and fell to the floor, lifeless. The T-850 threw its spark to the side and then spun in a 360 degree angle, turning its attention to the two soldiers. Craig had a sudden flow of worry.
What if it hadn't been programmed fully? What if it didn't have time to upload the new commands? What if it would kill them now the way it just butchered the other Terminator? It's glowing red eyes pierced at their souls as it came closer to them, it's metallic feet clanging against the floor. It stopped right in front of them and extended its hand. They flinched as they thought it was preparing to kill them, but it didn't. Craig grabbed his hand, and it pulled him up like a rag doll.
After picking up Steve, the Terminator looked at them. It's red eyes scanning them repeatedly, it's body still and without motion. They nervously looked at it, and Craig finally had the courage to ask. "What are you doing?" The machine looked at them, and then finally said, "Awaiting Authorization." It's said with its grim, robotic, fear inciting voice. "Oh...yeah, um...Your Authorized to carry out your mission." The T-850 nodded as he walked over to the DNA cloning chamber and stepped inside.
The bulletproof glass encasement door shut behind it and sealed with airtight pressure. As the cloning process began, a blue light flashed from the chamber, lighting up the dark bunker. After 5 minutes of the process, it came to a stop. The light dimmed slightly and the room quieted down. The airtight sealed door opened with a loud "HISS". Steam flooded the room as the door swung open, the silhouette of a male stood in the chamber. It then started walking towards them.
The Terminator stood still in front of them. Now clothed in someone else's naked body. It's metal
endoskeleton disguised in white skin. It's menacing face and head now wrapped in a young 20 year old's face. It's piercing red optics now transformed to humanely light blue eyes.
"...hm. Ever see a blonde terminator before?" Steve asked, jokingly. Craig wasn't in the mood to entertain any kidding. "T-850, prepare for the time jump." The Terminator acknowledged as he kneeled down on the time machine. Craig walked over to the controls and activated it. The time machine powered up and started spinning as it began the process. Before sending him off, Craig quickly yelled to the machine. "T-850, What is your mission?" The machine looked at him and responded in a now lighter American accent. "Protect Mara Conniere and Terminate the T-1000." Craig nodded his head as he pulled the lever. The machine spun wildly and flashed with blinding lights as the Terminator was sent through time.
A/N: So that's chapter 1. Please review and let me know what you think of story. I'll publish chapter 2 if I see this gets read.
