Like fog in the morning,
he feels he was,
back before he met her,
but after he'd experienced
betrayal for the first time,
when he realized that not all
is as it seems,
and yet, she came into his life,
so very easily,
no struggle, no backing down,
but just existing near him,
unshakingly, uncomplacently,
instead, she remained as steady as the earth,
and she loved him,
letting the old insecurities discover security
for the first time,
and even when it's hard,
he hopes that he'll come to find rest
right next to her.
