Sakura walked towards the Uchiha District, determination burning in her eyes, the sea of black haired villagers in the district were shocked to see a splash of colour strutting through the district right towards the main family's house. Sakura had come to the district today to speak with Fugaku Uchiha, Sasuke's father- leader of the Uchihas and also known as the most stern, stoic and rigid man in the village.

Sakura and Sasuke had been together for more than 10 years now, they had been in the same academy, same genin team, become Jounin together and finally gotten together while they were Jounin after which Sasuke became an ANBU Captain and Sakura took over the Hospital. They had been together for as long as she could remember, loved Sasuke for as long as she could remember and recently found out that Sasuke returned her feelings, so she was more than livid that finally when they had almost reached their happy ending- Fugaku Uchiha had dissapproved of their relationship and arranged Sasuke's marriage with a Uchiha girl from the branch families and Sakura was about to go and talk with Sasuke's father himself- she did not even know how she was going to change his mind but she was too angry to think right now.

She knocked on the door of the Uchiha manor's door and was met with Mikoto Uchiha, one of the few people who knew about Sakura and Sasuke's relationship all along- and supported it whole heartedly. Mikoto's eyes were filled with worry as Sakura finally opened her mouth.

"Mikoto-san. I would like to speak to Fugaku-san."

Mikoto gave her a half worried smile when suddenly a thunderous voice boomed behind her, one belonging to none other than the clan leader.

"Why are you just standing there Mikoto? Let her in."

His voice was so commanding, so adamant. He could make someone he had never seen before do something just by telling him alone. His eyes were emotion-less but did not move from Sakura's eyes, as if challenging her resolve- trying me make her run away before the battle even started.

"Fugaku-san, I would like to speak to you but I would appreciate it if we could do so somewhere more private." Sakura said business-like.

He opened a door into the tea room and motioned her to follow him, she obliged and Mikoto brought three cups of tea and sat down besides Fugaku while Sakura sat opposite to him.

"I would wish to speak to you about Sasuke-kun."

"There is nothing to talk about. He will marry within the clan- if he married you then your children might not possess the Sharingan. I do not wish to take the chance."

"Fugaku-san , As a medic I must remind you that the chances of Sasuke and my children NOT bearing the sharingan would be terribly low- You will have nothing to worry about."

"That does not mean it WILL happen for sure, so I object."

"Fugaku-san I love Sasuke-kun with all my heart and Sasuke-kun loves me, My children may not bear the sharingan but atleast Sasuke-kun will be happy. If you will not approve of our relationship because of me not being an Uchiha then atleast do it for Sasuke-kun's happiness!" Sakura said not unmoving from her stance, and for the briefest moments she thought she saw Fugaku smirk.

"Fugaku... She's right you know. You've seen our Sasuke-kun, he doesn't care about girls and stuff and yet he loves her. Besides, whats wrong with Sakura? She's the chief medic, Tsunade's only apprentice and the strongest Kunoichi Konoha has! If anything she should be your top pick."

Sakura's eyes flickered with hope as she stared right into Fugaku's dark orbs, 'so similar to Sasuke-kun's' Sakura thought.

"I will... Think about it." Fugaku declared. "For now I think Haruno-san should return to her home." Fugaku got up, Sakura got up too and nodded.

'Thank you for your time Fugaku-san." Sakura said before she left the house.

Mikoto snaked an arm around Fugaku's waist as she leaned on his shoulder.

"You already like her don't you?"

"Ofcourse I do. She barged into the Uchiha clan's leader's house proclaiming her love for his son and challenging the head right to his face- where have I seen that before?"

"Hehe... and I would do it all over again if I needed to. Sasuke loves Sakura just like you loved me Fugaku. It doesn't matter if my grandchild has the sharingan or not as long as my grandchild and my child stays happy. Besides Itachi and Izumi are getting married- Their child is guaranteed to have one."

"That Sakura... She's just like you were before." Fugaku smiled a little, as he looked into the setting sun remembering the days of his youth.

"Well Sasuke is like you shadow clone, so it's only fitting don't you think?"

Fugaku smirked, and suddenly their quiet moment as husband and wife was broken by a door opened behind them jerkily.

"Father, mother I heard about what Sakura did. I am sorry but she is right. I love her and I will not part-take in this arranged marriage." Sasuke said half expecting Fugaku to become so angry at him to throw him out of the clan.

He braced for the angry storm that was about to come but was surprised when he was met with nothing.

"Ofcourse you love her, I would have disowned you if you hadn't." Fugaku said

"B-but the arranged marriage? You said I had to marry into the clan."

"It was... a type of trial. My father had done the same with Mikoto. He did it to check whether Mikoto was truly in love with me and didn't just want to marry into the main clan."

Sasuke's panicked expression finally relaxed a bit. He felt a bit relieved.

"S-so... Sakura passed right?"

"With flying colours."

Sasuke smiled a little, he thought about rushing to the hospital to tell Sakura the happy news but felt it was inappropriate to show such behaviour infront of his family. Suddenly his mother's voice brought him out of his thoughts.

"Sasuke. You just came back from a mission right? why don't you go to the hospital and get checked up for any injuries or such?" Mikoto said with a knowing smile.

'Go break the news to her' she silently tried to convey.

"Y-yes mother." Sasuke quickly blurted out before running towards the door.

"That child of yours..." Fugaku shaked his head and Mikoto gave a small laugh.
