He never really liked rainy days. The gray clouds, dark days, wet pavement—it just added to the gloominess of being trapped in his room. Even Plagg didn't want to go outside, opting to just indulge in his emergency stash of cheese.

Adrien stared listlessly at the raindrops pitter-pattering against the windowpanes. He had been playing the racing game of which raindrop would reach the bottom first, but soon got bored of it. There was nothing fun to do on rainy days.

"Is it wrong for me to say that I wish there was an akuma attack right now just so I can meet my lady?" Adrien asked Plagg.

Plagg gave him a deadpanned look. Adrien mumbled, "Thought not."

Thinking back on his lady, he still didn't know what she looked like or who she really was. He had several guesses, but they never really fit the image of Ladybug. The closest would be Marinette.

Speaking of Marinette, he wondered how his princess was doing. Maybe she knows what to do on rainy days.

"Plagg, transformez moi!"

"Wait—"

There was a flash and a few seconds later, a black blur was off leaping above the rooftops towards a certain balcony.

Chat Noir landed a rooftop away and paused at the sight of Marinette sitting on a chair on the balcony, propping up a black umbrella with one hand and sketching with the other. He startled as she looked up and met his gaze. It was as though she could read his thoughts because she just gave him a smile and beckoned him over.

It took one leap and Chat Noir was perched on the railings of her balcony. Marinette approached him and held the umbrella over his head.

"You're dripping wet," Marinette tutted. "What's going on? Another akuma attack?"

"Can't I just drop by once in a while without the premise of danger?" Chat Noir pouted.

Marinette raised an eyebrow. "You could visit me without being in your superhero suit."

"Ah, but it might be dangerous, as you would faint at the sight of me," Chat Noir said with a wink. Marinette rolled her eyes, but there was a smile on her lips. He continued," Why are you out here anyway? It's raining."

"I don't mind the rain." Marinette shrugged as she leaned against the railing. "It reminds me of a special moment."

Chat Noir looked at her with interest. He recalled the first day at school and how it started as a disaster, but by the end of the day, he had befriended her. The rain seemed less gloomy after that.

Jokingly, he asked, "Does it have to do with a crush?"

Red tinted her cheeks. Chat Noir felt a squeezing in his chest. "Who?"

Marinette said shyly, "The one who gave me this umbrella."

Lightning crackled overhead.

The squeezing in his chest disappeared, replaced by realization.

"Adrien Agreste?!"
