The year was 2011. Piper Carlyle was a beautiful twenty-three year old. She had fair skin, was average height, she had dark blue eyes and light, long wavy brown hair and a tattoo of a cross on the inside of her wrist. She was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. For two months she'd been working the front desk at a hotel called The Bridgeport Lux. She really liked it. It was a normal day. A tall man came up to the counter. He had tattoos all over his arms."He's gorgeous." She thought.
"Good afternoon sir, checking in?" She asked.
"Yes, my name is Randy Orton."
She typed it into the computer. "Yes sir." She got his room key and handed it to him. "Enjoy your stay."
"Thank you Piper."
"How did you know my name?"
"Your name tag."
"Oh right." She smiled.
"You have a pretty smile."
"Thank you."
Later that night Piper had her back turned to the desk. She heard the service bell ring. When she turned around she saw Randy.
"Hi Mr. Orton, is there a problem?"
"Not at all." "Do you have to work tomorrow night?"
"No."
"Come out to dinner with me."
"Alright." "Let me give you my number."
"Sounds good."
A few hours later Piper had just gotten into bed at her apartment. She was very excited about her date with Randy. She got a text. It read.
Just wanted to make sure you gave me the right number. - Randy
Yes I did. - Piper
I'm really looking forward to our date. - Randy
So am I. - Piper
I know this restaurant I think you will love. - Randy
Sounds great. I'm about to go to sleep but I'll see you tomorrow night. - Piper
Goodnight. - Randy
The following day Piper and Randy agreed to meet at the restaurant he suggested at eight o'clock.
That afternoon Piper was in her living room. Her front door opened and her sister, who was two years younger then her came in. Her name was Holly.
"Hi Piper." Holly said coming into the living room and sitting down next to her.
"Hi Holly."
"Wanna do something tonight?"
"I can't." "I have a date."
"With who?"
"One of the costumers from the hotel."
"Is he cute?"
"He's gorgeous."
"What's his name?"
"Randy."
"Well I want details."
"I'll call you as soon as I get home."
Later that night Piper and Randy arrived at the restaurant at the same time. They were seated and ordered.
"You look really beautiful." Randy said.
"Thank you."
"So, what's your last name?"
"Carlyle."
"Have you lived in Bridgeport long?"
"Born and raised."
"I've stayed at the hotel a few times and I've never seen you there."
"I've only been there for two months." "What do you do for a living?"
"I'm a professional wrestler."
"I have no idea what that is.'
"I work for a company called WWE." "We go around the country and to other countries and put on wrestling matches."
"Have you been doing it long?"
"It's coming up on nine years."
They spent the date getting to know each other.
Randy walked her to her car.
"Do you work tomorrow?" Randy asked.
"No."
"Do you want to come to a house show tomorrow night?"
"Is that a wrestling thing?"
"It's a show that's not televised."
"I'll come."
"Good." They hugged.
"I had a great time tonight."
"Me to." She got in her car. "Text me when you get home."
"I will."
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight." She drove away with butterflies in her stomach.
