This is only the first chapter, please let me know if you like it so i know whether i should continue the story. Thank you :)

"NARNIA'S BETTER OFF WITHOUT THE LOT OF YOU!" Peter yelled, even Edmund was shook by this comment, he knew his brother had been out of line lately but that was a very unnecessary statement. Caspian stopped dead in his path and quickly drew out his sword and it met with peters, Caspian's face was full of rage, Edmund could tell that there was nothing Caspian would like to do more than shut peter up and honestly he doesn't blame him."Stop it!" Edmund quickly shouted not wanting the situation to escalate. He was carrying an injured Trumpkin along with another centaur, Trumpkin had fallen from a roof during the battle at Miraz's castle, Edmund spotted it when he was in the tower but he coudln't help him considering they're were about 20 archers beneath him, luckily there was a Talmarine there to break his fall. Lucy ran over to the dwarf with her cordial, her red dress dragging on the floor behind her. Edmund couldn't be prouder of his little sister for always having the first instinct to help people."What are you all standing around for?" Trumpkin groaned, Thank goodness he was ok, to be honest Edmund was always expecting a rude response from the dwarf but he liked trumpkin and he made him laugh. Noticing that both kings had vanished from sight Edmund thought he should go and find his brother or even Caspian after that fight and almost close spar.

Peter was sitting in the hallway staring at the carvings of their past adventures on the wall, Edmund noticed he was staring at one in particular, 'Aslan' it was almost as if he was in a trance, both eyes on the legendary lion, deep in thought."Pete?" Edmund whispered quietly he didn't want to spook peter. "I know I messed up," he said without even looking away from the wall, his eyes were filled with sadness and regret. Edmund came and sat down next to him staring at the same picture, he always wondered where Aslan was or if he even cared about them anymore. "Yes you did", Ed replied. "We never should have gone" Peter's voice was stern and quiet, kind of like how your voice sounds when you first wake up in the morning."Nope" Edmund said, "Your not helping" peter looked at edmund like he wanted to punch him but honestly he didn't have enough energy to do that right now. "It was a mistake Pete, even kings make mistakes it's not your fault" Edmund spoke comfortingly, "Well i bet other kings mistakes did not get that many of his people killed. It was clear Peter was now on the verge of tears it sounded but trying to hold them in so he didnt appear weak to his younger sibling, he still had all of his focus on the picture in front of him. "Yh they do" Edmund said looking at the floor. "How do you know?" Peter's voice sounded angrier when he said this."Because my mistake got people killed" Edmund sighed. Peter knew exactly what his brother was talking about, "Ed… that was not your fault she tricked you, you were 11" Peter placed his hand on Edmunds shoulder with a concerned look on his face. "Yh well I fell for it, and it doesn't matter how old I was, I should've thought about my family first but I didn't, I was a selfish boy who only cared about getting a box of his favourite sweets". Peter was about to say something but Ed shushed him. "The point is Pete we all make mistakes, it doesn't matter if you're the king of the world or a mouse trying to get a cheese, no one is perfect" Edmund was looking straight into peter's eyes hoping that his brother just took in everything he just said. "You may be and adult peter but on the outside we are all just kids scared of the monsters under the bed, in your case…. your scared that Caspian is going to take your place, that your not needed anymore", "Caspian was right though", Peter sighed, "He said not to go and i didn't listen because…... because i wanted to show…..to show that i was still the rightful king". Edmund could hear the hurt in peters voice and he knew that peter was really broken. "You got to remember though Pete, Caspian is no different than the rest of us, he lost his father too, and he was caught up in the middle of the war but a war for the country just like us" Edmund said,"But i had a father figure Pete"

"Who?" Peter said. Edumund smirked at him warmly which just confused Peter more. "You" Chuckled Edmund, he stood up and walked off towards the outside of the grotto. Peter smiled, he couldn't believe how much Edmund has changed since their first visit to Narnia he has always had peters back, helping him in fights, covering for him, its like Aslan had rubbed off his wisdom onto his brother. "Edmund is right, I can't give up on my family, I can't give up on Ed" Peter thought, just then Peters trail of thoughts were halted as he had caught a glimpse of a different carving on the wall, he stood up and walked closer to it, his face almost touching the wall. Just then Peter was hit with an idea. He couldn't believe what he was thinking, he tried to reject the idea but it just kept coming back. It was the best shot he had, the best Narnia had.

A stupid, risky idea.
