Kairi dodged a blast from Zamigo as he shot at the ice man.
"You'll never win." Zamigo laughed, jumping away from Kairi.
The red ranger growled but didn't respond.
Hit after hit, they wore each other down. It seemed almost like an even match. Kairi thought about his teammates and wondered if they were still fighting the gangler.
With a quick shot, ice began forming over Kairi's suit. He shivered, feeling a rush of cold. His body began slowing, his own shots not hitting their target.
"Like I said, you'll never win. You're never going to get your brother back."
"I won't give up.. I can't.." Kairi began to fall forward, the subzero ice making him wonder if he ever would feel warmth again.
His teammates swooped in, firing at Zamigo. They grabbed Kairi and grappled away.
After unmorphing, Umika covered Kairi in blankets as Touma made him hot chocolate.
"We'll defeat him one day," Umika smiled assuringly.
"What if we can't?" Kairi asked tiredly.
"We will." Touma responded, holding out the drink.
Kairi just nodded, taking a sip and feeling the cold start to dissipate.
