Well hello. I don't know why I started writing about LOCI again. I had a dream a few weeks ago about Bobby and Alex and rewatched some episodes. And here I am. Writing in my bad English because I#m out of practice and lost my beta reader when I got married. But I'm trying really hard…Oh well… I hope you like it anyway

Oh and yes, these Characters are not mine, unfortunately.

I need to hold you tonight

Bobby stared at the ceiling of the cheap motel and focused on the lamp. He used a technique to concentrate and tried to fall asleep this way but until now it didn't work.

Every time he closed his eyes he saw the gun that was pointed at his partner's head and then he heard the shot. Then his eyes flew open his mind racing he could feel the panic…

They had been to a conference outside of New York and just wanted to get some money from the bank before they headed home. It was a damn coincidence that the robbery started shortly after they entered the bank. The robbers had stormed inside and taken everyone hostage.

At some point, they had seen Eames gun which was more present under her short jacked than his own. The boss of robbers freaked out. He drew the gun and pointed it at her head. Forced her to look at Bobby and started to scream.

Bobby could see how Eames closed her eyes. There was no way to help her. If he only tried a small move the man would snap and shoot. Bobby had tried to talk him down, but the man had drugged himself before this and was beyond any control over the situation or himself. In the end, Bobby remembered begging for Eames's life and then he heard the shot.

Bobby opened his eyes again and turned onto his right side. The silent panic subsided. She was there. Save and unharmed. The shot was from the swat team that had stormed the bank.

Both were tired and exhausted on the way home and Bobby had simply pointed to an overcrowded motel on the way. Without a word, Eames hat pulled over and they got the last available room.

It was not the first time that they had shared a bed. The first night he had stayed at her apartment she had insisted to use the same bed.

"We are both grownups."

Oh yes, and they had never touched. No matter how often they shared a bed they stayed perfectly on their sides. Also, Bobby had fantasized often what would happen if he could just find the courage to touch her, he had enough self-control though to keep his hands to himself. But now…

He watched her. She lay on her side, facing him, her head was slightly turned down, her left hand was under the pillow. Her knees were drawn up and her right-hand ley in between them. On her side of the bed but within his reach. He could not tell if she was asleep or not.

Just a little touch, to assure him that she was still there. Warm and breathing. Only the small finger only once. He carefully reached out and his fingers brushed against her skin.

She lifted her head and looked at him. Obviously, she was not asleep.

Bobby fought for the right words to explain his move tried to find an excuse but decided to try the truth:

"I… I need to hold you tonight." He whispered.

He expected her to raise her eyebrows the same way she did when she asked, "Oh really?" or at least a sharp replaybut she simply moved closer so that he could lock her in his arms and pull her close. Her face disappeared in his shirt and he felt her right hand clutching his shirt on his shoulder.

She didn't cry or sob or showed in other ways that she was still affected by the events, just his shirt in her fists while she buried her face into his chest.

"It's okay… you are safe. We are safe." He whispered. "Nobody is going to hurt you. I won't let them." He was not sure if he wanted to calm her or himself with those words.

But after a while, he could feel her taking a deep breath and a few minutes later her hand went loose and her whole body relaxed.

Now he could dare to close his eyes. They were safe.

tbc?

I'm thinking about a second chapter with the morning after and maybe Alex point of view...
