The Force sure took many forms. The Father, the Daughter, and the Son, yes. But it also took another form.
The Cryptic.
You see, the Force is all-encompassing, and if the Force was just made up of the Father, the Son, and the Daughter, then the Universe would be boring the heck. Not only would it be boring, but it would also be an extremely miserable place to live. No, there may be wars and fratricide and other varieties of 'cides'... BUT the Galaxy of far, far away was Not a completely miserable place to live.
Because of awe-inspiring Cryptic. Also known as The Cryptic, Cryptic, Cryptica, Crypticia, Crypton- Wait, not that one. But really. They had so many names… SO. MANY. NAMES. Everyone loved them, even if they didn't know they were there.
You see, they were in charge of all the fun stuff. Like when two people meet from across the galaxy online, then become best friends. And when two people haven't seen each other for decades, yet suddenly came across each other! Or when a once in a lifetime coincidence brings two soon to be lovers together. Fluff! Sledging! And, Birthday cake! Cookies! Those AMAZING things that truly make life worth living. (Seriously folks, where would we be without these things?)
But the only downside to being the Galaxies Cryptic- was that no one knew of them. Hence, Cryptic.
They walked among the living, casually tipping smoothies onto shirts, showing birds where to sing… That sort of stuff. But they were never noticed! It was sad, really.
So the Cryptic made some snow fall on Tatooine.
But that didn't solve the problem, now did it. Until, one day that happened so long ago, (Or so recent. Who can tell!) they visited the Father, Son, and Daughter!
[The Cryptic grinned, lounging back, hands behind head on the Father's throne. They waved a hand lazily as all three beings walked into the room.
"Ah!" The Cryptic threw his arms in the air in a way that was so like his favourite mortal, Hondo Ohnaka, and stood to greet his guests. "These are my three favourite beings! Lovely to see you again!"
The Father's brows furrowed in a way that made the Cryptic's already wide grin grow.
"So, I've come to make an arrangement with you all!" Then they leant forwards towards the still approaching group to whisper. "But really only you, because your kids are inferior." Looking up, they shrugged at the Daughter and the Son. "No offence, right?"
"As if we could be offended by you," The Son muttered in the background.
"Riiiiiiiight," The Cryptic winked and walked down a step from the throne. "So, about my whole being-invisible-and-unknown thing-"
"No." The Father cut him off with a slice of his hand. "We are NOT changing that."
Then the Cryptic let out a completely overdramatic sigh, and let his head fall back to look up at the ceiling.
"You know, I thought you might say that. SO- I thought of a compromise."
"No!" The Son snapped, folding his arms across his chest. "You are but a simple jokester. If we let you loose on the Galaxy, you would ruin the balance!"
The Father raised a pacifying hand.
"My Son is right. There is finally peace in the Galaxy. We cannot afford-"
"One day!" The Cryptic cut in then gave their most trusting smile. "One day in the past, that is. We are not below time travel! So let me cut into the past. By logic, it will not even alter the present! Just- let me have me reign!" The three looked unsure, but The Cryptic stretched his hands openly. "You trust me, riiight? Just a day."
Then Father took a breath, closing his eyes.
Then he opened them, a weariness that The Cryptic was DEFINITELY not the cause of, was apparent in them.
"Very well."]
And The Cryptic was given one day. Can you imagine which day he chose? No, you cannot. WELL, they chose, May The Fourth. (To which the Father, Daughter, and Son both sighed heavily).
So, rather gleefully, they waited. A whole year. Until the eve of the day finally came and they danced, rather victoriously, to Kordoku, and to the place where he would conjure the portal. And so- it was time to begin.
A/N *Smirking emoji* Yes. I went there. *Throws weirdness at you* Welcome to the Twelve Episodes of May The Fourth! :D (Yeah yeah, I get it. Not the catchiest title.) BUT WHATEVER! Here is some weirdness, which will span (Who would have guessed) 12 days! All short chapters, and should add up to laughter as The Cryptic does their stuff! Enjoy! Please R&R! (-3
Special thanks to KarajeJinsta who supports me always! And to PsuedonymGal, who is also awesome. Check out their works! (-3
