There was one rule between Kwami's, you don't hurt the guardian. Of course, if a Miraculous wielder forced you to then there was not much one could do. After all, Kwami's need holders to fuel their power. Well not every Kwami, the black cat and Ladybug were lucky enough to have powers that needed no human wielder. As such they could un-bond themselves and still be powerful. That was neither here nor there however as they did have holders. Plagg had the most naive boy in all of Paris whilst Tikki had the sweetest girl, who also happened to be the guardian.
Now the Guardians role was to find suitable wielders for the Kwami's under their care. They were to protect the Miraculous world and keep Kwami's in line so to speak. What was unknown was the Kwami's role towards their guardian. Many moons ago when the miraculous was created each and every Kwami made the same vow. To protect the guardians to the best of their ability. Whether that be trying to resist their wielders (Such as Noroo) or reminding the guardian to take a break. The main promise the original Kwami's made was to protect the guardian's soul. It wasn't always an easy task, for some guardians proved to be evil and downright nasty. Those were few and far between however, as most Guardians were good and kind people.
The current guardian was praised as one of the best, maybe a little young and naive but defiantly the best. She treated each and every Kwami with respect, even if they have been in the Miraculous box for centuries. She treated each and every Kwami as an individual. So that was why she had done something no other Guardian had done before. She had earned every Kwami's allegiance. You see even though every Kwami was sworn to obey the guardian whilst they had no holder that didn't mean they would make it easy. Not every Kwami had respected a guardian so completely before. Which was why it broke them to see her break so hard. Months upon months of bullying at school had broken Marrienette however the world had begun to turn on Ladybug as well.
A few months previous Ladybug had been present to a robbery, usually, she would let the police handle it, as it was not a supernatural occurrence. The robber however had a small child hostage and she knew she had to do something. So, she apprehended the suspect but not before the child had been shot. Luckily the little boy had survived but had been left paralyzed. He was thankful for Ladybug saving him but the boy's parents had begun a slander campaign. They thought if Ladybug had not intervened then their boy would have been fine. The police had not helped in the slightest, telling Ladybug to stick to supervillains. Since that day Paris had become divided on Ladybug. Some still thought she was still a hero, people such as Alya actively supported her. Others thought she had made a mistake and whilst they still thought she was a good person they had begun to feel apprehensive. The rest of Paris thought she was now a villain, worse thank Hawkmoth himself.
The Kwami's watched as the pressure slowly wore away at the young girl and had begun to have enough. As such they had called a meeting, a meeting which Plagg was running late too. When he arrived at the Miracle box, he flew straight into Tikki.
"Sorry Tikki, my holder wouldn't fall asleep" he apologised. Tikki smiled at him.
"It's okay Plagg, you're here now." She said, she then turned to the other Kwami's in front of her.
"Right as the senior Kwami I call this meeting to order, we all know why we are here today. The world has hurt the guardian and that cannot continue. We must act to save her." The Kwami's all nodded.
"But how?" asked Trixx.
"We are all bonded to our owners; they would simply call us back once they realise, we are uprising" added Wayzz. Tikki hummed
"Well as of this moment only, Trixx, Wayzz, Noroo, Plagg and I are bonded. If we can communicate with Noroo perhaps we can give him enough power to leave Hawkmoth." At these murmurs erupted from the crowd, Plagg sighed.
"Sugar cube I think we all know that won't work, we can't overpower our owners, that goes against the Kwami code"
"Then what do you suggest Plagg!" she sighed, exasperated. Plagg looked down, a frown adorning his face.
"I think it's time we enact plan zero." He said, sadly. Tikki gasped as did a few of the older Kwami's.
"You cannot be serious Plagg... that would leave us defenceless." Wayzz reasoned. Plagg sighed once again.
"Wayzz I don't know if you remember the old days but I'm assuming you know we weren't always at the mercy of humans" a few of the younger Kwami's frowned, unaware of such an exitance. At their confusion, Tikki stepped in.
"As many of you know I am the first Kwami, before me there was nothing. In those first few years' life was blissful, we created and destroyed as much as we wanted but then I created humans. The humans were scared of the power that Plagg and I possessed. So, they hunted us but when they realised, we could not die they struck a deal. In order for us to stay unharmed, we must become attached to the humans and help them. So, we became attached to objects, inconspicuous ones that other humans would not find suspicious." The Kwami's gasped and began asking all kinds of questions. Questions Tikki couldn't answer, Plagg held her hand as the other Kwami's asked how she could enslave their kind.
"She had no choice, we were persecuted" Plagg reasoned.
"So, what, you want us to leave our humans to save the guardian. To leave the Jewlery we are tied with. Why has this never been a plan before?" Pollen asked. Plagg shook his head.
"Because it would mean that Tikki and I would have to leave our jewellery. We are the only ones strong enough to support you, to keep you safe but once we do..."
"What Plagg is trying to say is that without our jewellery we have unlimited power, we were tied to objects to stop us harming anyone by accident. Make no mistake we should not make this decision lightly." Tikki whispered. Wayzz placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Why this girl Tikki, what makes her so special?" he asked. Tikki let a tear slip down her face.
"She is pure, she believes in us more than she believes in herself. She didn't want this, yet she treats us as equals which even Master Fu found difficult to do. She is the only guardian I have found worth saving." The other Kwami's stared at her in shock. Plagg merely stared at her
"Then what's the plan Sugar cube."
"We leave our holders and we do it tonight. We leave the world for a while, we give Marinette a choice if she wants to come. Tonight, we change the world."
