*RWBY (featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series)*

*Name*: Dante "Tony" Redgrave.

*Age*: late 30's at the start of volume 1

*Theme song*: Devil's never cry hr/hm

*Personality*: Dante is a jerk with a heart of gold and devil may care attitude. He is rash, arrogant and irresponsible. He is constantly in depth and has no respect for authority. But he is compassioned and cares greatly for his friends and allies. He often helps people even when he knows he isn't getting paid for it. He is merciful to his enemies, but will kill them when given no other choice. He also harbors divine hatred for Salem and people who work for her. Once he sworn in the names of his parents that he *will* kill Salem and he intends to go through with that promise.

*Looks*: He has silver white hair and deep blue eyes, and he is 186 cm tall with muscular physic. Dante wears red trench-coat with black jacket, black finger-less gloves, black and red leather pants and military style boots.

*Weapons*: Dante, unlike many huntsman prefers to keep his melee and rang weapons separate. He uses large claymore with skull shape guard called Rebellion an heirloom form his father, twin black and white handguns named Ebony and Ivory, as well as semi-automatic double barrel shotgun dubbed Coyote-A. Due to his "unique heritage" he can channel his aura into his weapons to increase the damage and even fire when he runs out of bullets and unleash energy waves from his sword. This ability however is a double edge sword, because it takes away a chunk of his aura.

*Extra weapons*: Through the years Dante accumulated large arsenal of weapons from his fallen enemies and uses them when the situations calls for it. This includes: Nun-chucks, imbued with ice dust, which can transform into a staff imbued with fire dust, and a whip imbued with lighting dust. A pair of fire and wind dust scimitars with artificial intelligence. A guitar that shoots out lightning and can transform into a scythe. Gauntlets and greaves with engines for increased damage as well as imbued with hard-light dust and fire dust. Fully-automatic rocket launcher, a sniper rifle and gun that shoots hard light dust bullets that bounce off objects.

*Semblance and aura*: Dante's semblance is called Royal Guard and it allows him to summon barriers that absorb any type of energy, however those barriers last only for a fraction of a second giving Dante only a small window to use them. After he absorbs the energy he can send it back as a red projectile at long range, coat his body in a second layer of aura for a short time at the cost of becoming much slower or he can store the energy and unleash it in one devastating attack. Dante's aura is crimson red and thanks to his "heritage" he has great deal of control over it, he has greater healing factor, he can summon platforms and swords of aura, channel it into his weapons and increase his speed to the point of being a red bluer and even summon a red doppelganger of himself. But his most deadly technique would be his "Devil trigger". In his triggered state Dante overcharges his body with aura making it leak out of his body, like this he becomes stronger, faster and more durable, basically being able to take down four-man team of trained huntsman on his own. However this ability last only a minute after which his aura reserves drop to 0, making him much easier target.

*Backstory* (DMC3): Dante, alongside his twin brother Vergil, were born as the grand-sons of the legendary "Warrior king" making them descendants of Ozma. Due to Salem's grudge against Ozma she haired assassins and send Grimm to kill anyone Ozma may consider family.

When Dante was 8 his father disappeared on a mission making the family easy target for the grimm. His mother Eva protected Dante but died when she was trying to find Vergil. For several months Dante lived on his own, until he was found by Nell Goldstein, gunsmith, mercenary and former huntress that decided to take the young Dante under her wing. By the age of 15 Dante grew into a powerful fighter, under the tutelage of his caretaker, the fact that the grimm were drawn to him more than others helped immensely. He even got himself a name in the criminal underworld as a jack of all traits and mercenary for hire. That life would end at the age of 17 when grimm got into the city and attacked and killed Nell forcing Dante to watch his mother-figure die a second time in his life.

That day Dante decided to take the fight to the Grimm. He applied for Beacon hoping to get answers for why were the grimm dead set on killing him. During the day of the initiation he was partnered up with a girl who refused to give him her name so he just called her Lady, later he would meet another two girls going by the names Lucia and Trish and together they would form a team Devilish (DLLT).

At first school was a literal hell for Dante, his marks were abysmal, he spend every other day in detention and the only reason why they haven't kicked him out was because he stood head and shoulders above everyone else in combat class, with only one or two students making him fight seriously.

His team-mates weren't that great either, Lady was constantly angry, later he would find out it was because her father killed her own mother, Lucia was soft-spoken and socially awkward if nothing else, and Trish's ego was twice as big as his own, that was saying something. Then there were the self proclaimed rivals, team STRQ made up of Summer Rose, Taiyang Xiao-long, Raven Branwen and her twin brother Qrow.

However as time went on things got better, Summer's unrivaled kindness helped Lady break out of her funk, Raven and Qrow could actually give Dante a descend fight and knock down Trish a peg or two, and Tai's comradery helped Lucia overcome her shyness. Because of that team STRQ and DLLT would become inseparable sister teams, the fact that Dante, Tai and Qrow became drinking buddies also played a large role.

Yet Dante still didn't have an answer why were the creatures of grimm targeting him, and he wouldn't get his answer until few years after Beacon when Dante met his long lost brother Vergil.

Dante was overjoyed to see his brother, but Vergil cared little for family reunion. Only thing Vergil cared about for the past 12 years was power, power and information. He shared this information with Dante, what he learned about Salem, the maidens, the fact that they were descendants of an immortal magician, and most importantly about the relics and Vergil's plan to kill Salem. He wanted to get the summer maiden on their side one way or another, steal the relic of destruction and kill Salem once and for all, so he offered Dante to join him. A tempting offer, but Vergil's plan involved killing innocent people, something Dante couldn't let happen, he would stop Vergil's plans before they could even be put to motion.

A fight broke out, one which Vergil won easily, yet he refused to kill his brother so he left him and move onto his plans without Dante. But Dante refused to back down so easily. For the next year Dante chased after Vergil, as if in some twisted game of cat and mouse, one in which Vergil was always one move ahead.

During his travels Vergil made his own group of friends and allies, consisting of the two brothers Agni and Rudra, the one they called the ice Demon Cerberus, the brawler Beowulf, the scholar and scientist Arkham and lastly the current summer maiden Nevan.

Together they attacked Shade during night, it was during summer vacation so only a handful of the staff was in the academy. Arkham cut off all communication and paying mercenaries to cause chaos in the city insuring that no one will be there to stop them. Everything seemed lost, Dante could barely keep up with his own twin, having to fight another 6 people including a maiden was a suicide. That's when a red portal appeared at his side, out of it came team STRQ and the rest of members of team DLLT, ready to put their lives at risk and stop Vergil. The first battle of Shade had begun.

The fighting was thought, especially after Lady lost her cool when she saw Arkham, who was in fact her father who sacrificed her mother for his own twisted experiment. Most of the school's faculty was dead within an hour, not one of Vergil's team-mates was to be underestimated, the maiden especially.

Knowing that without the maiden Vergil's plan would fall into ruin she became their top priority. She was a thought opponent but combined efforts of the Branwen siblings and Raven's clever use of her portals provided Qrow with the opening he needed to plunge harbinger straight into her heart.

That should have been the end, but Vergil had a fall back option. He made his way into a vault. The vault wasn't just a big reinforced door; it was a magical barrier separating the relic by time and space. That also happened to be Vergil's semblance control over time and space. With a swing of his sword the giant door opened reviling to him path the ancient sword. But before he could claim it Dante intercepted him and their rematch began.

Blade intercepted blade, slash intercepted slash, their swords, the Yamato and the Rebellion locked in a dance of death, this time the brothers were evenly matched. As their duel continued they both became sluggish, slower, weaker, their aura was barely holding, yet neither of them refused to back down.

But at the climax of their duel someone interfered. It was Arkham, the true mastermind behind this whole operation. It was him who revealed all the world's secrets to Vergil, using the disguise of a Good Samaritan who wanted the rid the world of the queen of Grimm. His true motive was to gain the relic for himself and become the most powerful being in the world.

For that he used Vergil, but alone he could never hope to overpower the grand-son of Ozma, for that he needed Dante, their rivalry and fighting would weaken both of them, providing Arkham the perfect chance to strike. It was as simple as playing the game of chess on both sides, and his pawns played their role perfectly. With a few precise strikes Arkham dispatched Vergil sending him bellow into Shade's underground tunnels and he knocked out Dante with a one well placed kick. He stepped into the vault, into a world with dark purple sky and land covered in shadows where he would find the sword.

Dante woke up after a few minutes, the fighting was already over. His friends were resting all of them had their aura shattered, some were even spotting cuts and bruises, luckily none of them seemed life threatening, but they wouldn't be able to fight for another few hours, Arkham needed to be stopped now. Dante's own aura was slowly recharging, it would be a while till he was at full power, but it would have to do. With a grunt and a bit of effort he pushed himself of the cold floor, and despite his friends protests he marched forward into the land of darkness.

He didn't know what to expect, but he wasn't surprised at what he found, the gift of destruction was given to humanity by the god of darkness, the very same god that created the Grimm, how fitting that the presence of his sword would corrupted the pocket dimension itself. There were large polls of destruction spawning the gruesome creatures of the Grimm, the land itself was covered in them. The sight would make experienced huntsman shake in their boots, but Dante didn't hesitate for a second, he had a score to settle and a madman to stop.

After a few minutes he found the man he was looking for. Arkham was standing in what looked like an arena, ancient sword in hand. He also looked different his body was pitch black with white bones covering his body in armor like pattern and large horns on top of his head curved downwards.

Since he was a child Arkham lusted for power, but not the power of the heroes in the stories, born from hard work and good heart, Arkham wanted power of the villains, infinite and overwhelming. So he researched Remnant's legends and the bits of truth that were in them. He experimented with the Grimm and looked into ways to get magical powers, even if he had to sacrifice his own humanity. In the end he killed his own wife in hopes to get more power, and while the experiment wasn't a complete success, it gave him enough power to set his plans into motion. It led him to here and with the Relic of Destruction in his hand, his power will be absolute.

Dante looked at the situation he was in, surrounded by grimm with a madman wielding the most powerful sword in the world, so he did the most logical thing he could think of, mouthing the madman off before attacking him.

The fight was as one sided as fight can get. Between fighting of hordes of Grimm and fighting Arkham, Dante had to use every tool at his disposal just to survive. But alone Dante could only hold on for so long, one of Arkham's strikes sent him to the ground. Dante could only watch as the blade moved closer, no amount of aura could stop the ancient blade. Dante closed his eyes and waited for his death, but it never came. When he opened his eyes he saw Arkham on the other side of the arena, being pushed back by the blue cloth swordsman at his side, another look around the arena revealed that all the surrounding Grimm were chopped into confetti.

This was just like Vergil, coming all this way just to steal his spotlight. Then again, Dante took a look at Arkham, drawing more upon his corrupted power, getting more and more disfigured every second. No one could possibly believe him to be the main event of this party, could they? With that thought, the twins charged Arkham, moving in perfect tandem, covering each other's blind spots, creating opening for each other, even swapping their weapons in the middle of the fight. Arkham tried calling for more Grimm but even ancient Deathstalkers were nothing more than a cannon fodder for these two. Feeling the fight coming to an end both brothers triggered calling upon more power than before Arkham could barely see their attack coming let alone counter them. In a last ditch effort he called upon the full power of the blade sending torrents of wind that distorted time and space onto the red clad huntsman, but that was his last mistake. Dante called upon his semblance, he had only a small window of opportunity, but in his triggered state it was like the attack was moving in slow motion, he had all the time in the world. Using a technique he called royal release he redirected all the energy from the attack back at Arkham.

The twins watched as the mingled body of Arkham was now laying on the other side of now destroyed arena, desperately clingy onto life. He should have come to realized that his corrupted soul could not control this much power. Dante pulled out his guns, Ebony and Ivory, aiming to finish the job, only for black tendril to shot out of Arkham, knocking Ebony into the air, only for Vergil to catch it. Vergil was never one for fire arms, relying more on his mirage blades made from aura, but for this once he would try it Dante's way. The brothers in blood and arms put their hand guns side by side, as they remembered their catch phrase they used to say back when they were kids, back when they were still family.

*"Jackpot"*

And with that, two bullets, one surrounded by blue aura, the other surrounded by red, impacted the former Scholar and ending his life. The twins watched as his body disappeared into dust leaving behind the very thing they both came here for.

Vergil focused the last bit of his aura and used his semblance teleporting to the blade picking it up. He frowned in disappointment when he realized that the sword still needed aura to use its power, right now, it was nothing more than sharpened piece of metal.

Vergil moved to leave, but once again Dante stood in his way. He wasn't going to let Vergil leave with the sword. He may want to use the blade for good and kill Salem, but where was the guarantee he would stop after that. He already showed that killing innocent was not a problem for him. Arkham in his state almost manage to kill them both, he dreaded to thing what someone like Vergil would be able to do with that sword. No one should have all that power. He could not let Vergil leave with that blade; he had to stop him, even if that meant killing him.

Just like Dante, Vergil wasn't going to leave this place without that relic, no matter what. He. Needed. More. POWER.

The world around them was shaking, his semblance wasn't like the power of the maidens, without his aura there was nothing to keep the portal opened They probably had only a few minutes before they would be trapped here forever. That was fine, without their aura the fight wouldn't last long.

So the brothers, in blood only, charged at each other, Dante wielding Rebellion, Vergil using the sword of destruction. No aura to defend them, to strengthen their attacks, to use their semblances to turn the tide of battle. Despite all that, despite their fatigue and the fact that they were on a time limit, this was their most dangerous and beautiful duel. Metal struck against each other sending sparks into their eyes. Their eyes that were filled with unyielding determination and unwavering bravery. The clash of brothers, all their convictions, their believes poured into their swords. Clash of destiny, the fate of the world was being decided on who would win this fight. And in a battle only one side can be victorious.

Dante slashed Vergil across his chest and forcing him to his knee. Theirs forms now littered in shallow cuts. Dante looked down at Vergil, daring him to get up.

Was he being defeated? No, he wasn't finished, he could do better than that. With a grunt Vergil stood back up, his legs shaking from the effort. The brothers looked into each other's eyes, this was the end.

Vergil and Dante charged at each other for the final time, Dante went for a horizontal swing, Vergil swung vertically. Only one of them connected with his opponent's body.

The Relic of Destruction slowly slip from Vergil's hand, he pressed the other against his stomach, blood spilled from the wound that almost bisected him. He slowly walked to the age of the arena looking at the black pool under him.

Dante seeing what his brother was about to do rushed to him, but before he could touch him, he found the sharp edge of Yamato pressed against his neck. Vergil smirked at him even now Dante was trying to save him. He should leave him alone, if he didn't want to get trapped in this world. Vergil? He was staying this was the place where he belonged.

Vergil leaned backwards, letting gravity take over, dropping him into the pool of black goo down bellow. Dante tried to reach for him as he was falling, only to receive a shallow cut to his palm for the effort. Dante look into the pool, hoping against all odds that his brother would emerge, but alas nothing happened. Tired both physically and mentally Dante headed for the portal to leave this place behind while shredding tears for his last family member.

What happened next? Well, after team DLLT and STRQ recovered, they were called back to beacon and into Ozpin's office. Seeing as both teams were aware of him, the relics, maidens and even Salem, and they proved themselves to go above and beyond the call of duty to protect this world and its peace there was only one thing left to do.

And since that day, the two teams became part of Ozpin's inner circle, becoming the defenders of humanity and guardians of this world. But their story was just beginning.

*Present*: Dante was putting on his red coat, just now he received a call from Summer Rose about some super secret mission that he shouldn't even tell Ozpin about. A little bit suspicious but hey, who was he to refuse a silver-eyed warrior. And killing Grimm? Well, bring it on.

Dante finished putting on his coat and was now spinning his handguns on his fingers before putting them in their holsters. He loved killing grimm, it was what he lived for!

He reared back kicking open his door with a vicious smirk. HE WAS ABSOLUTLY CRAZY ABOUT IT!
