Hey everybody! This is my first Fanfiction so please don't judge. I accept constructive criticism to improve my writing. I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. This idea just popped up at the top of my mind so it is not fully decided what the storyline will be. If you have any ideas about what could happen please tell me.

Julia's POV

Racing through the woods as silently as possible she slowly caught up to her target. Her heart was pounding so hard that she wondered if her target could hear it. She silently pulled out her bow and shot. The creature never stood a chance. She picked up the creature to bring it to her leader.

Julia felt the wind on her face. It was cool and calming and was drying her tears. She was still going over the events from earlier in her head.

~Start of flash back~

She had been sitting at her desk when her boyfriend texted her to meet him at the park in about 15 minutes. She did not think it was suspicious at all because they usually met up at the park and it was their favorite place to go together. Julia freaked out because she was still in her pj's. She did not have a lot of time because the park was a 10min walk away.

She pulled on a navy blue shirt and black pants. Then she braided her long wavy chestnut hair into a loose braid and put on her favorite necklace that he gave her.

Julia did not like makeup but he did and she was about to put it on when she saw the time, so she just went downstairs and yelled where she was heading.

The walk had been enjoyable. The crisp morning air felt good on her face and she took everything in as she walked. When she finally arrived she saw her boyfriend and another boy standing near the edge of the lake.

Julia happily walked over and said "Hey Chris, I got your text. What did you want to tell me?"

Chris nervously rubbed the back of his neck and said "Umm hi… I wanted to uh talk about our relationship. It's not you it's me."

He sounded like he was truly sorry and nervous to say this but Julia didn't hear a thing.

She went into shock and when she was able to compose herself she managed to say "Y-your breaking up with me?"

She did not wait around after that she just ran. Julia ran across the park until she reached the forest. That's where she was now. Crying. Thinking. Crying. Thinking.

~End of flashback~

Then all of a sudden a whistle was heard and something stuck the tree behind her. Julia slowly turned around to see a silver arrow. It was wedged into the tree behind her. Out of pure curiosity she slowly turned to see who shot it and saw an 18 year old girl. She was dressed in silver with a bow in her hand and a quiver full of arrows on her back. There was a certain feeling about her that she could not put her finger on. As Julia looked into the girl's eyes she saw how they looked like they have seen things that most people haven't seen.

Then she said " What happened?"

Julia didn't know why but she spilled out everything that had happened and the girl looked at her sympathetically.

She then said " I know what it feels like. If you come with me you'll never have this problem again."

Julia didn't know why she did it but she got up and followed the strange girl deeper into the wood until they arrived at a clearing. In the clearing there was a row of silver tents. Around them Julia could see a ton of girls dressed like the girl who brought her here. They all looked in the age range of 10 to 19 and seemed perfectly happy. Immediately she felt jealous of them. They looked so carefree and happy and Julia could not help but wish she could feel like that again. Immediately she started to cry.

The girl looked at her sympathetically and then said " I know it hurts but you will get over it and when you do you WILL feel better."

At this Julia started to feel better and wondered why the girl brought her here. She went on to say " Two things, why did you bring me here and what is your name?"

"My name is Reyna and only Reyna. Call me anything else and you will regret it."

Julia slowly backed away nervously.

"Are you scaring away our visitors?"

Julia slowly turned around to see a girl with spiky back and blue hair. She had striking blue eyes lined with black kohl. The girl was wearing a death to Barbie t-shirt and a silver ringlet on her head.

Reyna just laughed and said " I wasn't trying to, I just stated the truth." The girl laughed and said "Hi, I'm Thalia and as Reyna said no last name please. Just Thalia."

"Um my name is Julia and what am I doing here?"

" Oh new recruit. Okay so we are the hunters of Artemis, we are basically a bunch of girls who swore off men and serve the goddess Artemis we hunt by her side until we die."

"Huh", Julia asked " So you hunt for her until you become too old and then you die? I don't get it."

Thaila laughed and said " Nope, we have partial immortality. We stay the age we took the pledge at forever unless we fall in battle. Get it?"

"Yeah I guess I do but why me? Why did you bring me here?" Julia said as her chestnut hair whipped her face in the wind.

"Well we brought you here to see if you wanted to join the hunters." Julia stood shocked for a second before thinking that she wanted to join. "Yeah actually I do want to join, what do I have to do?"

"Umm great! All you have to do is repeat this pledge and if Artemis accepts it then your in." Reyna said. Then Thalia said the pledge and Julia repeated it.

"I, Julia Alzos, pledge myself to the goddess Artemis, I turn my back on the company of men, accept eternal maidenhood and join the hunt." Julia all of a sudden felt stronger and more confident. She stood up and as she did Thalia said "Welcome sister."
