Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Lord of the Rings. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own LOTR, Tolkien and a few others do.
The Orc continued his retreat from the group he had tried to usurp leadership from. What little people knew of orcs meant none of them could lead unless they earned it.
"Where did that coward Ogbur run off to?" One of the orcs said while looking at him with interest. "Can't believe he tried taking over being a Warchief." Another stated to which the captain grunted.
The orc was a skilled warrior, but his ambition outstripped his tactics. His latest tactic, trying to use a Graug to crush a patrol had ended with the war chief's troops outflanking his.
Wasn't his fault he was betrayed. His friend… Ally, Koth Frog Blood was supposed to deliver reinforcements to him in exchange for being made a Warchief alongside him.
He continued running off into this cursed land. Dozens of captains and the dark lord assumed they'd work together? Orcs didn't work together! They fought for supremacy over everything. Why settle for taking orders when you could be the one GIVING them, eh?
Ogbur cursed, whatever remained of his men wouldn't be enough of a threat to take the position of Warchief… And even those who stayed loyal would surely desert for better captains when word of this came around.
"Shrakh!" Ogbur cursed, digging his fist into the stone next to him. "That blasted Shrakh head was supposed to have my back… Now nobody does, what does an Orc have to do to become Warchief?" Ogbur questioned only to get no real answer at the moment.
He knew Nurnen would become a battlefield soon enough. The Orcs had nothing better to do then wage war upon each other, smashing their weapons into each other… Yes, this would far more interesting then what he was expecting soon enough.
"I need better allies." Ogbur muttered to himself and crossed his arms. "One that don't stab me in the back. I'd settle for a pinkskin if it helped." Ogbur stated before sighing.
It did give him a slight chuckle. The humans? They were someone Ogbur could respect, crafty, wily… He had dueled one before. They had refused to give up. It made them far more interesting then one of his brethren could claim.
"Yeah, get some more boys… Lead a good old-fashioned revolution." Ogbur said while turning to the side.
He pulled out his sword and went to find his remaining men. They had a job to do and the more he had? The more that he felt he could do.
Though he doubted he'd have enough soldiers to overrun the kingdom. He'd need more, far more.
He felt eyes on him and turned before walking in the direction of that. There would be something that was far more different. He didn't need to be a strategist to know that out at the moment.
"Time to find some friends." Ogbur stated at the moment before he shook his head. "No, a bigger group…. More people to fight for me, that will be nice, real nice." Ogbur said while he spun his sword at the moment.
He knew for a fact that things would change for the better. Soon Ogbur would be a name remembered across all of Nurnen. He would be the Warchief… No OVERLORD, and there wouldn't a damned person that he'd let stand in his path.
"Now, who in the name of the dark lord is spying on me?" Ogbur stated which caused him to look around. "I can feel someone looking at me." Ogbur stated as he heard the sound of footsteps while looking around.
"How in the name of…." Ogbur heard which was greeted by sloppy footsteps which made him blink. "How am I alive?" Ogbur heard which caused him to raise an eyebrow.
"Pinkskin?" Ogbur questioned as he knew the voice of one. "No, don't stab, that's not part of the plan." Ogbur stated as he turned to look to the side.
He spun his sword once more and approached the sound of the voice. He knew for a fact that this would be different.
What he didn't know was him serving the dead king… A king who he would be a brother in arms with. Ogbur would be part of a kingdom of Orcs that ruled over the region.
Author Notes
Phew. First chapter done! I want to point that next chapter will be delayed for a while. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show Ogbur meeting the dead king. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: All of the Orcs are from my playthrough of Shadow of War and will be unique and such at the moment.
