Chapter 1: THAT DAY AGAIN

"Naruto…Naruto" heard little Naruto before breaking off of his dreams.

As Naruto half sleepy managed to open his eyes, he saw a figure on his window. It was the Anbu ninja who visited him regularly, never saying more than a few sentences each time. "What time is it?" asked Naruto.

"7 in the morning" was the reply.

"Hokage-sama has sent for you come to the Hokage tower at 10" said the Anbu nin.

Naruto sat silently as he processed everything and then realization hit him.

"It is that day, you know what happens if i go out today!" Blurted Naruto.

"Don't worry, Kinoe will escort you."

Naruto sighed in defeat and said "Okay i will be there, but why dies jiji need me?". "That will be best answered by Hokage-sama." said the anbu as he jumped away from the window.

Naruto looked at the calendar. '10th October, I am 6 now'. Naruto stood up from his bed and went to his living room where the only furniture was a 3 seater couch and a small table. But something was odd, there was a small envelope near his main door as if someone passed it through the gap.

Naruto picked up the envelope, and tore it to reveal its contents, inside was a small slip of paper which said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NARUTO" and what seemed to be a gift card, but it was no ordinary gift card… it was a 24 bowl deluxe miso ramen prepaid for Ichiraku Ramen.

'Wow, i have never got a gift, is this what choji and shikamaru get on their birthdays, but who gave it to me was it Shikamaru, Choji or Sakura-chan ?'

Anyway little Naruto took a shower, which he hated but he couldn't risk getting lectured for hours by jiji again. Naruto picked out his favourite T-shirt and shorts, which happened to be green Cargo Shorts and an Orange T-shirt with a red spiral near his belly button.

At 8 A.M Naruto was all set to see his jiji. He headed downstairs and saw kinoe.

"You are about 2 hours early, maybe get some extra sleep"said kinoe.

"He-He" laughed Naruto as he slowly reached his pocket and pulled out the 24 bowl deluxe miso ramen gift card for Ichirakus and proudly beamed it at kinoe.

"How did u get that, Naruto?" asked Kinoe in a surprised tone.

"Its a gift."

"By whom." Inquired kinoe

"I don't know, but it came with this". Naruto showed kinoe the Happy Birthday Slip. Kinoe immediately recognized the handwriting.

'Hmm' wondered kinoe.

"Anyway, i will use it now, u can have some too kinoe" Offered Naruto.

"No, thanks i already had breakfast" replied kinoe.

"Okay, but you will miss out" said Naruto as he took off at speed which could only mean the second coming of the Yellow flash.

"Well, thats Uzumaki Naruto" muttered Kinoe as he tailed Naruto.

Kinoe watched in horror as the 6 year old finished 24 bowls of Deluxe miso ramen in a blink of the eye. But Teuchi the ramen guy didn't seem surprised in the slightest as if this was a daily sight.

"All done for today, Naruto?" asked Ayame.

"Yes, and…." replied Naruto as he pulled the 24 BOWL DELUXE MISO RAMEN gift card and beamed it at her.

"He-he" was all Ayame could muster as she sweat dropped.

"Well that's the Naruto Uzumaki, i know" said Teuchi. "and since, today is the special day for Naruto chan i offer you 6 more bowls!!"

"What, really you mean 6 more bowls of Deluxe Miso ramen from Ichiraku!!"

"Yes" said Teuchi "and not just Deluxe Miso ramen, but Super extra large Special Miso with extra pork and fishcake , for my best customer NARUTO UZUMAKI"

Kinoe sweatdropped at the ramen enthusiasts conversation, while all Ayame could focus on was the budget.

"But you won't be having that right now Naruto, maybe for lunch or dinner"

"Why" said Naruto with puppy eyes.

"Enough, we are going to be late to see Lord-Hokage"

On the way to the Hokage tower, Naruto sensed a lot of killing intent coming from many of the villagers, but he was used to it, it was natural in this part of the year. Naruto had learnt to ignore it all over the years. They would surely have attacked him only if kinoe wasn't there.

One hour later, Hokage Tower

As Naruto entered the Sandaime's office, he saw his jiji and a man with long white hair with a scroll attached on his back, who was smiling at him.

"Good morning, Naruto and wish you a very happy Birthday" said the sandaime hokage.
