Loona's Love Life.
Chapter 1: A Chance Encounter.

Alex really hated it when other Christians slandered him just because they got the wrong idea about what being a Mormon was.
"For the love of," He sighed as his friend, Justin went into yet another tyraid about how "the Mormon church was actually a cult," and that "they believed in a spaceship coming to pick them up any day now." Alex just tuned him out as he sat down at McDonald's and ate his fries. Justin meanwhile had continued unabated with his conspiracy theory about how the Mormon church was run by fish people. Alex soon grew bored of listening to Justin ramble on and on. Luckily his phone buzzed. Thankful to have a distraction, he excused himself, telling Justin that he had a call, and that it was urgent. Not bothering to look at the caller ID however he visibly cringed when his roommate's voice came in loud and clear.
"So whatcha doing at the mall?" She asked as Alex's face went white. He frantically looked around, trying to see if she was in the mall. When he was relativly certain that he was safe, he brought the phone back up to his ear.
"You really have got to stop spying on me, you know that?" He stated as Sophia just laughed,
"Then you have to stop making it so easy to hack into your phone's GPS." Alex just sighed as he gave his camera a scowl.
"Well for your information I'm not doing anything to exciting, just hanging out with-" His sentence was cut off as the lights in the mall went out which was soon followed by a loud crack. Instantly Alex dropped to the ground as he tried to figure out where the gunshot had come from. Scanning his immediate area proved fruitless, so he hurriedly scurried into a nearby pet store as more shots rang out throughout the mall. Once he was certain it was relatively secure he pulled out his revolver and his phone and began to dial 911.
"Hello operator how may I help you?" Alex was about to yell into the phone but he stopped as a shot whizzed past his hiding spot.
'Oh shit!" he dropped the phone in shock and surprise as another bullet grazed his hand. He peeked his head out just barely above the counter he hid behind and nearly lost his lunch.
"What in the fuck are those?" he internally prayed for forgiveness as his eye's settled on on two distinct groups of beings that should not even exist. One group looked like a some extras from an evil curcus, three of them being small red skinned and horned headead, with there fourth member being some kind of werewolf looking creature. The other group looked like they had come from a childrens fairy's tale, with two of them being small animals with wings and the other being what looked like a winged child.
"Loona sweetie, now would be a very good time to get that portal open!" One of the red devil loking dues called out, the werewolf tilted an ear and nodded as the red group all huddled around her. The little fairy's however were not happy to see them seeing as they had what looked like crossbows and were wildly firing bolt after bolt at the group of devils, with some off them pinging off of the metal of the various stores.
"I'm on it Blitz, Let me just." Loona scanned the few exits routes they had and saw a vacant store.
"This way guys." She said getting the groups attention. Cletus saw them all begin to scramble over to a pet shop and sneared.
"We've got them now guys!" Collin just blanched as he saw the many pets till in cages.
"O-o-h no do -w -w -we have to go in there? With all of those...animals?" He stammered out as Keenie rolled her eyes as she took aim with her crossbow.
"Stuff it Collins and get in there after them!" she barked. Meanwhile Alex was sweating as he heard the group of red devils enter his hiding place. Looking at his gun he was estatic to see that he had all of his bullets but he didn't really like his odds against literal devils and a werewolf. He clamped his hand over his mouth in order to stylfle his breathing but that did little to shield the sounds of his heart, which Loona soon picked up on.
"Hey Loona, honey lets hurry up and get that portal done already!" Blitz's words brought Loona back to the present.
"Yeah, I'm on it!" she shouted as she went to the back of the store and shoved the display racks out of the way. She glanced at where Alex was hiding but kept her head in the here and now. Smelling his fear however made her smile.
"Stupid humans." She got to work on drawing up the pentagram, while Moxie, Millie, and Blitz took up defensive positions to give her the time needed to complete the portal.
"There's no where left for you filthy creatures to run now." Keenie shouted as the three cherubs slowly decend to the ground to get a better view of the inside of the store. It was dark inside, a consequence of the fight having broke out in the parking lot behind the mall, where they sadly happened to smash the power cables for the whole building. A sudden movement caught her attention and she let a bolt loose from her crossbow. It whizzed past Alex's hiding spot causing him to jump as it impacted the brick wall in front of him where it stayed.
"Holy shit." He muttered as he glanced over his counter, and was even more scared now to see the fairy's had stationed themselves at the entrance of the pet shop. He was now pinned down behind both groups, while the werewolf chick was guarding the only exit he had. All's he could do now was pray that he would make it out of this alive. As soon as the cherubs stepped foot inside the double doors a shot range out.
"Last chance for you three to leave us alone." Moxie said as he pulled out another clip for his glock, racking the slide, and loading a round into the once empty chamber. Mille gave him a thumbs up to which he smiled and waved back. Blitz meanwhile was reloading his flintlock and ducking from cover to cover. He came across Alex who stared back, there stare down was interupted by a bolt flying past Blitz's head. He shot his reloaded ball round and ducked back down with the fritened human.
"So you come here often?" Blitz asked as the counter they were both hiding behind got peppered with bolts. Alex simply shook his head. He saw Blitz reloading his gun and simply offered him his revolver. Blitz looked from the gun to the human and back.
"Thanks kid." He swiped the gun from Alex pulled back the hammer and jumped out from behind his cover, firing a shot off as he rolled out of the way of incoming cherub bolts. Alex let out a sigh of relief, that soon however was replaced with a shout of agony as a white hot fire pierced through his left sholder. Feeling around with his good hand he felt hot metal sticking out of the wound.
"Shit!" He exclaimed a he looked around the store. The devils were retreating to the back where loona was, while the cherubs were advancing deeper into the pet store. Alex had to make a move and fast. He looked from his hiding spot once more and saw while the cherubs had the front on lockdown the werewolf had stepped aside allowing Alex a clear shot at the emergency exit.
"All right guys it's done!" Loona shouted as she got up to see where her family was.
"Loona, No!" Blitz shouted as he saw a cherub take aim at his baby girl. Cocking back the hammer on the gun he was given he took aim and fired off a shot but it was too late as he saw Cletus release his bolt straight at Loona's stunned face. She saw the bolt coming but could do nothing. Her vision was obscured however as she felt her body get shoved to the ground while her ear's caught the sound of someone screaming in pain, she felt her fur heat up as she went through the portal, then all was still. She finally opened her eyes and saw that they were back in hell.
"Oh shit." She heard Blitz, and turned her head to the muffled crying coming form behind her.
"Oh fuck." She looked on and saw that the human that she had smelt earlier had not only followed them into hell, he was also laying on the ground in agony. Blitz had gotten to his feet and gave the human a withering glare.
"Well isn't that just great." He through his hands up as Moxxie and Millie got up and made there way over to the human as well. Loona just sat there. She had come a hairs width away from death and this lowly human being had thrown himself in deaths way for her.
"Why?" she asked herself as Moxxie took out a syringe of morphine and injected Alex with the pain relieving concoction. His deep breaths soon gave way to much more even breathing. Alex himself finally opened his eyes and got his first proper look at hell.
"Well… Shit." He said as he lay there using his good hand to stop the bleeding from his chest wound. Moxxie looked him over as a small crowd began to gather. Blitz was getting antsy.
"Ok piss ants nothing to see here! Just go back to whatever you were fucking, sucking or snorting" he shouted as he stalked over to the parking lot nearby to get the companies van. A little while later IMP and there unexpected guest were all packed up and heading off to there office. Loona still hadn't said a word. Alex had finally passed out, Moxxie and Millie both began to look after the wayward human, while Blitz glanced back at his daughter with concern.
"Loona, Sweetie?" Blitz asked as they came to a stop in front of their office. Moxxie and Millie got Alex out the van and took him up the elevator. Blitz meanwhile stood by his daughters side as she slowly got out of the van, her tail tucked around her waist for comfort. Loona gave her father a look of pure confusion.
"He saved my life." She looked back up towards earth. "Why?" She then lost her lunch as the stress of her brush with death hit her with full force. "Why indeed." Blitz asked, turning Alex's gun in his hand finally taking notice of the silver cross embedded into the handle.
