Chapter 1

Meeting

After arriving to the real world the AI Alice created by Rath decided to have a look of the real world . She wanted to know about the world Kirito had come from to save her Underworld . So she was travelling the world .

It wasn't long but she somehow got introduced to Vanguard,the most popular card game . She learned the game very quickly and Vanguard somehow allowed to imagine herself fighting with a sword . Alice was afterall an Integrity Knight in the Underworld created by Rath . She ended up liking the game a lot. Alice's clan was gold paladin . She was cardfighting in a card shop that day with the kids . Suddenly there was a commotion .

"Hey it's the Asia Circuit champion Aichi Sendou!",one of kids shouted .

Alice was noticing him .

Aichi was asking the kids about something then was about to leave but then,

"Wait up!",Alice called him .

"You are about to leave like this?Aren't you going to fight with someone?I thought that's why you came."

"Umm well actually I have something to do so I will be going."

"But I want to know how strong of a cardfighter are you?I am Alice and I challenge you to a fight!"

"What!"

"You are going to accept it right?"

"Fine then.",Aichi knew he couldn't refuse a challenge.

They started the fight .

"What a surprise , we use the same deck , This will be interesting.",Alice exclaimed.

The fight was tough . Alice was really strong but Aichi won it . Aichi somehow felt relieved .

"Well I guess you are strong . Great match.",Alice said

"Well you were strong too though",Aichi said .

"So why were you in a hurry?",Alice asked .

"Well I can't say it . And even if I do you won't believe it .",Aichi smiled a little but Alice can say that it wasn't a smile of joy . It was a pretende one .

"Well I have seen many weird things too and I have also been through tough times . So you can say it ."

Aichi wasn't sure about what he should do . Alice was a strong cardfighter but somehow she seemed like a friend to him after the cardfight and he didn't want to reveal the truth but he ended up saying it . Alice seemed like someone he can really trust .

He told him about the link joker incident and how he was planning to seal himself away to prevent it from happening again .

Aichi's story surprised Alice .

"So you are planning to disappear from your friends and family just like that !"

"Yes but it's for their good."

"But what if they remembers you they would be hurt to find out the truth . And .. What about your sister?"

"Hold on!How did you know I have a sister?",Aichi asked .

"I had a sister whom I left in the Underworld . I even ended up forgetting about her once . So I know how your friends might feel if they forget about you .",Alice pause for a while and proceeded to tell Aichi her story .

"So you are an AI ?",Aichi was surprised to find the truth . Alice really looked exactly like any other human with her big beautiful blue eyes and golden braided hair .

"I have an artificial fluctlight which just like any human soul within me so I would like you treat me as a human . ",Alice the continued on .

"So you are looking for 4 Quatre Knights who will protect your seal ?"

"Yes . I have already made up my mind . This is the only way to save the world ."

He really is planning to sacrifice himself for the sake of this world ,Alice wondered .

He is reminding me of him though who had the same desire to protect the people of the Underworld .

"So can you have a fifth knight? Considering I have been a knight before and because I am also a strong cardfighter I want to help you out . I can't let you try to protect the world on your own . "

Aichi was shocked to hear her . Alice was willing to become a five knight .Though Alice was really strong ,Aichi had to push himself hard to win the fight against her . Aichi didn't really wanted her to be part of this but seeing Alice's determination to help him out he agreed .

"So this is the Sanctuary.",Alice said as Aichi led her to the moon palace . The other Quatre Knights haven't arrived here yet .

"Well it is and this is where I plan to seal myself away forever .",Aichi said sitting on the throne .

Alice somehow felt hurt hearing that .

"Can I say something?"

"Aaagrh…",Aichi seemed to be in pain .

It was link joker's seed which was trying to take over him .

"Aichi!",Alice shouted .

Alice hold on to Aichi's hand trying to calm him .

"Arrgh..",Link Joker's powers were also hurting Alice . A part of link joker's powers was going to Alice .

"So I guess this is a way to ease your pain Huh. Bring more of it",Alice screamed in pain .

Suddenly a card appeared in front of Alice surrounded by a golden aura while Aichi calmed down and fainted .

"Huh,So this will be my vanguard ."
