Chapter 1: Birth Of Power
The Angels and Demons sensed the power right before it hit. It was a power unseen before in the world. It was more than a child born of a demon, more than one born of an angel. It was a child born of an unholy concoction of multiple powers and situations that should never have been.
The first person at the door was an angel. They stood just above six feet tall, with albino white skin. Pink eyes could be seen behind long white spiked hair. The house was completely dark, the power of the town wiped by the child. The windows were all blown out and the front door was blown off the hinges. The angel stepped inside closer to the source of the power. They stepped into a living room and saw the scorched room inside were two dead bodies and a baby. The body closest to the angel was male, burned, and disfigured, but the ground had wing marking scotched into it, meaning they were an angel as well.
"What were you thinking, Sandalphon?" the angel asked the dead body not expecting an answer. The angel then walked over to the other body also disfigured, but was female. The angel leaned down and saw small piles of yellow powder around the body.
"A demon." The angel's eyes widened as he looked at the child, "You are a Nephalem." The angel held their hand above the baby as their eyes glowed with celestial grace. They were going to smite the child before they could properly use their power.
"Abdiel stop!" Commanded a new voice.
The Angel, named Abdiel, turned to see another person, a woman, who stood a foot shorter than Abdiel. She was dressed in a red shirt, a khaki jacket, and jeans. Black hair covered the left side of her face and one of her brown eyes.
"Why should I stop Israfil? This child is an abomination!" Abdiel said.
"The child is useful. As an ally of heaven." Israfil reasoned. She made her way towards the baby and crouched low over it, "God has left again, much to hands off. History repeats itself a child stronger than God is born. If we don't take them the demons will."
Footsteps sounded from the hallway coming down the steps, a small slim woman walked regally into the living room. She was the shortest so far standing slightly shorter than Israfil. Her eyes, one brown and one green, assessed each angel under their black, red tipped, bangs which matched their long black, red tipped, hair. The woman closed a book they were reading with a snap.
"Didn't realize I had company. Especially of the feathery kind." She said smiling, mockingly.
Israfil instantly drew their angel blade while Abdiel stood protectively in front of them, "Who are you?" He asked.
The girl chuckled as her eyes glowed yellow, "Nakita, daughter of Lucifer, Princess of Hell, and rightful heir to Hell's throne under my father."
Abdiel drew their angel blade and proceeded towards Nakita, "Then prepare to be sent back." He said.
Nakita just threw her hand up sending Abdiel flying across the room, "Seriously? You thought I'd walk in here all regal and sassy if I couldn't handle you two. Daughter. Of. Lucifer. He gave me a power boost to deal with the soldiers of heaven." She said sass dripping from every word and syllable.
"If you want the child you'll have to pass me" Israfil said as their eyes glowed.
"Sounds fun." Nakita said as her eyes glowed as well.
The girl was sitting in her hotel when she felt the wave of power. She quickly stood up and headed outside. While there was no visible shockwave she knew where it had come from. Grabbing her gun, angel blade, a few miscellaneous hunting items, and her flannel before heading out to her car, a gift from an old family friend, a near pristine 1967 Chevy Impala. She got a text on her phone, 'Selene got calls about major power outages in your area. What's happening.' She quickly typed a reply, 'Checking now will update when I figure out.' Selene pocketed the phone, got in her car, and floored it towards the source of the powerwave.
She pulled up in front of the house and saw two people standing on the porch of the house. She pulled out her gun and slowly approached and heard part of a conversation.
"... Think they'll be done soon. I just wanted to do my job and get out of here." The bigger of the two said. It was a pale man with a short mop of messy black hair with a white streak going down the side of his head. He was leaning against the wall talking to a short girl with long black hair and olive toned skin. She was sitting on the porch railing, in a blue tank top and purple leggings, swinging them in an almost childlike way. As Selene got closer she noticed the scythe next the man and the almost translucent wings on the woman. Selene pulled her angel blade and approached the two.
"Blaine just calm down. Jeez you're always such a grump." The woman said. Selene leveled her blade at the two.
"What's going on?" Selene asked. The man, Blaine, raised an eyebrow at Selene.
"Fighting between powerful forces." Blaine said bluntly. Only to have his statement backed by the sounds of slamming and fighting inside. Selene kept her blade leveled at Blaine, "What are you doing?" She questioned Blaine.
"I was waiting for the angels and demons to leave so I can do my job claiming souls." He answered.
Selene looked at the girl, "And you?"
"Oh I just tagged along to bug him." She answered.
Selene looked over the girl, "Okay. I know what he is, the scythe is a big give away. Who and what are you?" She asked.
"I'm Shade, I'm a fae." Shade answered, fluttering her wings. Suddenly someone inside sneezed before flying out the door and landing right in the front yard.
"Why is a fairy here?" Abdiel demanded to know.
