My Godson on the celling again
Summary: Tony Stark, godson Peter Parker has a tendency to walk on walls. (one-shot)
Tony Stark had been good friends with Richard and Mary Parker. He knew Mary since he was five and watched her grow to become a woman and soon become a mother. Motherhood sadly didn't last long for Mary not when both her and her husband had been killed, living their baby boy alone. Ben and May Parker we're Peter blood relatives, but since in the will it stated that Tony Stark was Peter Godson it was up to him to take the boy in.
He still recalled the shock he felt when Mary and Richard asked him to be Godfather.
"I'm sorry, but what?"
"We want you to be godfather," Mary said.
He blinked three times as his mind process the information he had just gotten.
"I'm sorry, but what?"
Mary groaned while Richard started laughing.
"See, I told you he wouldn't believe you."
He was Tony Stark, playboy, billionaire and genius. He didn't think godfather was ever mentioned in the title, but he still ended up with the title and to make matter worse he ended up with a kid that wasn't even his.
Tony adjusted though.
He finds himself spending less time sleeping with women and more time with the kid because he didn't want Peter to get neglect like Howard neglected him.
There was just one problem.
Peter Parker was on the celling. Laughing and hanging upside down the baby laughter echo throughout the room leaving Tony baffed at the sight.
"That's new," Tony pointed out.
Since he didn't remember Mary sticking to walls. Nor, did he remember Richard sticking to walls and he's a little lost because he didn't recall anyone in Peter family ever sticking to walls. So, the idea that this ran in the family was tossed out through the window and Tony Stark didn't know what to do. Since, hello, how do you deal with a kid that can stick to walls?
He did what any full-grown adult male would do. Call for the one person that might actually know what to do with a situation like this.
"Pepper my godson on the celling!"
Surely, Pepper would know what to do right? Right? She totally would know how to handle a kid that sticks on walls.
Happy knows that his boss godson tends to cling onto walls. He's been told before that it might, happened he just didn't want it to happen on his shift. The moment he sees that Peter is crawling on the wall heading towards the celling. He does what anyone else would do, try and pull Peter of the wall.
There's just one problem. Peter sort of stuck because no matter how hard he tried to pull the kid of the wall he just stays there.
It's also here where Happy notice that the kid clearly had some sort of spider powers because soon his mouth is covered in web and now, he sticking to the wall. Like a fly caught in spiderweb and by the time boss comes home.
Tony Stark finds himself looking at a bodyguard who is covered in web from head to toe, stuck to the wall and Peter hanging upside down on the celling.
Happy does not get paid enough for this.
Rhodey hands just barely reach the kid.
Peter laughed.
Rhodey jumped again his hands missing the baby on the celling.
Peter laughed again.
"Sir, may I recommend a ladder," Jarvis said.
As Rhodey jumped into the air again his hands once more missing the kid. He lands on the ground with a gruff.
He would get a ladder. Ladder would be great, but he didn't trust the kid being alone because that how the kid ended up on the celling in the first place. The moment Rhodey turned his back the kid on the celling. If he leaves to get a ladder the kid might end up halfway across the street, looking for his papa.
Since Peter first word three weeks ago had been papa and the last thing Rhodey wanted was to tick of papa Tony because that was a foe nobody wanted.
"Damn Starks, always getting into places they shouldn't," Rhodey mumbled.
He jumped up again his hands almost grabbing the kid before he found himself back on the ground.
Peter laughed.
"Just wait until you get kids of your own kiddo. You wouldn't be the one laughing then once they get stuck on the celling."
He jumped up again and once more Jarvis suggested a ladder.
Phil finds out what Peter Parker is like next. He's in Stark tower and all he can do is pause because there's an awful lot of talking coming from the living room.
"Tony, get him down."
"I'm trying to."
"Sir, may I suggest the ladder."
"Ben, get the ladder."
"I don't know where Tony Stark keeps his ladder."
"I'll get the ladder."
"Thank you, Pepper."
He strolled into the room to find Tony Stark jumping up and down trying to grab the baby on the celling with a worried May and Ben Parker fussing around him.
"How long has this been going on?" May asked.
"Since the kid lived here," Stark said.
"You mean to tell me my nephew can stick to walls! And you didn't tell anyone."
"That's not all he can do."
Phil blinks at the sight of Stark suddenly finding web on his mouth. May screaming, Ben trying to get that web of Stark mouth and Peter laughing still on the celling and he's pretty sure Pepper gone to get a ladder.
Phil decided he will speak to Tony Stark another.
What?
He was a train spy. He wasn't trained to deal with kids.
Natasha the one that deals with him next. Working undercover, Peter a toddle by now but he still ends up on the celling. However, the moment the red head gives him a glare Peter suddenly on the floor kicking the ground with his hands behind his back. Natasha is the only one that can get Peter down of the celling without a ladder.
"You look like a mess," Clint pointed out one day.
It's after the battle of New York and their living in malibu at least for now when Tony Stark walked into the living room looking like he hadn't slept for weeks. At first the team wonders if it was some sort PTSD that had trigger, since flying a nuke into space and almost dying was bound to leave some mental scars.
"Thank you, birdbrain for pointing that out," Tony mocked walking towards the kitchen.
It's here where the team noticed that there is something clinging on Tony back. A child who laughter is heard as Stark goes to the kitchen.
"Papa."
"Pepper," Stark yelled. "The kid on my back again."
All the Avengers can do is watch as Pepper race towards Stark and attempt to get the child of his back, but soon the red head is sticking to the wall covered in spiderweb and all Peter does is laugh. Stark groaned in defeat and lands on the floor face first and the team watches as Peter Parker casually makes his way up to the celling.
"There laughing at me. I know it, they planned the whole thing out," Stark said as he covered his ears to block the sound of Peter laughter.
"Does this happen often?" Steve asked.
Nobody too sure how to answer Steve question.
They just watch as Natasha glared at the kid and watch Peter walk unwilling back down to the ground. Pepper said something, but nobody understood her because her mouth is covered in web and Bruce goes of to try and set Pepper free. Only to find it incredible hard to do since the web a lot stronger them it seems and even Bruce thinks very seriously if Hulk is needed for the task at hand.
All while Stark a mess on the floor blaming ghost for his current life situation.
