Instead of meeting Willow, Luz meets Amity during "I was a teenage abomination" Amity decides she is incompetent and treats her accordingly. Luz stood up for herself and ended up following her to school. Amity notices she is human and calls her stupid for even trying to get into the school. Luz still follows her because screw her and sees Amity's gang bullying Willow and Gus. What really hit Luz in the heart was seeing the teacher walk by and then the principal praise Amity. She leaves swearing to never come back to the school.
