Storm the Hen
Summary: Fear the almighty! Is what she would say if she didn't end up being reborn as a chicken. (Reborn OC.) (One-shot)
She would be your worst nightmare.
The very thing they will fear and bow down to. She will destroy all with just a snap of her fingers. She is ba-gawk? Okay, she a chicken. The most eaten food on Earth and she ended up being born on the bottom of the food chain. Great, just what she needed. And, she didn't have fingers this lifetime just wings which she can't even fly. Thanks, mother nature.
She supposed it could be worse. Not like any hero are going come by and destroy this small little town.
"Look out!"
Never mind because just what she needed Iron man come flying in and now she was sitting on his head going who know what speed, but this cannot be good for her red feathers. So, she does what any chicken would do in a situation like this.
Peck.
Fear the peck human. Fear it.
Granted, pecking the suit of Iron man would obviously do nothing. This thing can take bullets, for crying out, but at least he noticed and stop. Or, tried to stop.
She must be born into earlier in the timeline then she thought if Tony Stark was still having trouble with his suit. Will, no harm done. Now, put her down mortal.
Tony Stark was taking his suit out for a run. Another test drive, but he didn't think he would land in a chicken coop and find himself with a hen.
He's pretty sure she was glaring at him.
"Are you glaring at me?" he asked.
She glared brown eyes given him a cold hard stare.
"So, what town did I accidentally get you from?"
The chicken was growling at him. A low, glow sound came from the hen in his hands. Huh, he didn't know chickens could growl.
Rhodey isn't too sure what to think of the hen that Tony Stark brought home. She not eating though and had turned down pretty much everything that was being offered. He's always been told that hens ate anything, clearly that wasn't always the case.
"You can't keep a hen," Pepper said.
"It's not like I wanted to. I just can't remember what village I got her from."
The hen growled.
Rhodey didn't know hens growled.
"Well, we have to do something about her," Pepper said. "I don't think New York is very hen like environment."
Rhodey attempted to give her some water. She still snarled.
"Why can't we keep her?" Tony asked.
"Tony you can barely look after yourself. How are you going to look after a hen?"
"Hey, I can look after myself just fine."
"Your suit had bullet holes in them."
"That was one time."
Rhodey gave her some carrot. She still glared. Hens eat worms, right? Is that a thing? Hey, he was used to looking after Stark's, not chickens.
"Beside I've name her."
"You have?"
"She Storm," Tony said.
She was indeed anergy enough to be a storm. Rhodey thought as he passed her some bread.
"I have the chook food," Happy said carrying a bag of food. All eyes turned to Happy. "What? I thought we we're keeping Storm."
At least Rhodey got Storm to eat a bit of potato.
Fear me human!
What was his name again? Man in a suit, not like Iron suit, just boring old black suit and he's bold, too.
Did his name start with q?
Or, was it w?
What? She recalled bits of the plot she does not recall everything. After all, the human mind can barely remember what they had for tea three weeks ago.
Now, where was she?
All yes, fear her.
Obadiah had things to do. Like, kill his Godson and rip out his heart, those sorts of things.
He wasn't going to stand here and let a chicken block his path. One flapping her wings and making an awful ba-gawk sound. Once, Tony out of the way he'd come back for the chicken and have her for dinner.
He just needed to get pass her.
The only problem is every time he moved, she moved to stand in front of him, blocked his path every time and now she was currently pecking at his shoe.
He will admit the beak must be powerful to some degree because she actually tearing his shoe to bits.
Let's just pick her up and throw her down the stairs. That plan didn't go too well because when he was about to pick her up, she leaped up and attack his face.
The chicken used her claws to attack him and her beak. He's pretty sure he's bleeding and suddenly he's on the ground. She bitting his tie and almost choking him in the process.
Tony comes into the room and for once he's glad he hadn't killed the man yet. Only his godson looks upset and are there more people in the room.
Thus, Obadiah was arrest.
"I hate chickens," Stane said the moment he was behind bars for attempt murder.
Tony was missing Storm. No, seriously she was nowhere in the tower. It's been a year since Stane been locked up and a year since Storm has lived in the tower. No, he was not panicking. Okay, just a little that was his chicken after all and she was gone.
The same one that normally didn't leave his side. Even when he worked in the lab, she was typically down there with him, given him the 'I told you so,' look whenever he caused anything to make a loud bang.
"Jarvis where's Storm?"
"In the air vent sir close to the lab."
He blinked, but goes to check the air vents.
She must've stolen some blankets because there's a lot in there with her and her sitting.
"Oh," he said as if it dawned on him. "Oh, you're laying an egg."
Storm glared and Tony backed up leaving her alone in the air vents. Hens only need to be a year old when they start laying eggs, a fact Tony Stark just found with a quick google search.
It's during Stark Expo where Storm got out of the tower and now Happy looking for her before his boss gets home to find her missing. He's pretty sure chickens go right to bed the moment the sky turned dark.
Storm does not. She never did. She stayed up long hours whenever she wished to. A behaviour that is not normal for chickens, trust Happy he knows because he looked it up. And, now she out in the middle of New York during the night who knows where.
"Sir, I found her," one guard said.
They dash to where she was only to frown because she was reading a bus sign.
Chickens can't read signs, can they?
Pepper watched Tony Stark races his own car. Only to frown as the camera moves away.
Wait is that Storm? Out in the middle of a racing field?
"Where's Storm?" Pepper said.
They turned to the chair where Storm had been sitting on only for that said hen to not be there and yes, that said hen, is crossing the road. There's also another's man walking towards Tony Stark. No, shirt on and golden whips.
Storm stops in front of him.
Tony hadn't noticed his car still moving like all the other cars.
Possible insane killer and Storm stare down one another. Before the hen leaped up and attacked the man eyes. The possible, highly dangerously killer is trying to get a hen of his face and while doing so dropped his weapons. Moving on to the side just narrowing missing Tony cars and a bunch of other racing cars.
"Should we do something?" Happy asked.
Pepper isn't too sure. She not used to, dealing with killers or attack chickens. She gets a feeling that this is going to happen a lot.
"At least now we know why the chicken crossed the road," Happy said.
"Not now Happy," Pepper said.
Hammer pokes.
Storm tried to bite his finger he pulled back quickly.
"Hammer," Senator Stern said. "Don't go poking a hen."
"I just want to know why it's here?" Hammer asked.
There was indeed a chicken in the court room sitting right at Tony Stark desk. At least the chicken was paying more attention to the conversation then Stark was who was currently spinning in his chair.
"First of it is a she," Rhodey corrected. "Her name is Storm and I don't know why she is here actually."
"She followed me in here," Stark said. "She does that a lot."
Almost to prove a point. Stark hopped out of the chair walked to one end of the room Storm hopped of the table and walked towards him catching up with his every step.
"That's why she's in here," Stark said sitting back down.
Storm leaped onto the table taking her spot at the edge, puffing out her feathers as Hammer goes near her.
"Argh!" Hammer screamed.
He soon found himself with a chicken attacking his face.
"This is why you don't poke hens," Stern said pinching the bridge of his nose. He swears he is dealing with children.
Tony Stark comes home one day only to find out that Storm is not in the tower. Nor, anyway where else actually she isn't even in her nesting spot.
It's not like her to leave.
He might be dying, but still, he didn't think she would leave when he's dying.
Gee, that got sad. He counts on a hen for support, but then again, he sorted of counted on his robots for support to, so there isn't too much of a difference.
That's when he finds her at the tower door, holding a USB in her beak.
Wait, we're they cockatoo feathers?
"Storm, where have you been?"
Why does he got a feeling she been fighting a cockatoo and won?
Will it turned out Hammer was planning to make the suits which is why he called Rhodey soon after.
"And, this is why I don't want my suits to go to the military."
Storm nodded her head beside him almost as if she was very disappointed in Rhodey.
"Will I didn't know," he said.
"You know I am working on making you one."
"You are?" Rhodey asked.
"Yes, just don't give it to the military."
"No, problem Tones."
Later that day, Hammer and Ivan both ended up in jail near Obadiah.
"I hate chickens," the three men said in unison.
When Fury comes by, he wasn't expecting to find Stark at a donut shop with a chicken. He knows about Storm everyone knows about the chicken, but he still didn't believe it.
"No," Stark said.
Storm tried to grab the donut.
"You can't have donuts. It's, not good for chickens."
Storm glared, but goes back to her own dish. She started making tuk, tuk sounds.
"And, I'm not a baby chicken so no need to act like a mother."
This didn't go along well with Storm.
"Ba-gawk."
"That's an awful thing to say. I might just tell Pepper on you for that."
Storm flapped a wing over her heart looking most upset and dramatic falls on her side.
Fury wondered if this was a dream. A really, really, weird dream.
Clint blinked.
The chicken made an awful growling sound.
"You know normally I'm the one that stands on high things."
She growled.
Clint does what any grown man would do when the top of the kitchen fridge has been taken by a chicken. He called for Phil.
"Phil. There's a hen on the fridge."
"We don't have time for your jokes Barton," Fury replied three doors down instead of Phil.
"But it's not a joke. There's a chicken in the kitchen. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's Stark to. Stark has a hen, right? What colour is she?"
She seemed to be making a nest.
That not good.
"Now, look this is my fridge not yours."
Her feathers puffed up.
He back down standing on the ground close to the wall and by the time Phil came in Stark hen was in the process of laying an egg.
"We need to get that back to Stark," Phil said.
It would take ten Agents to try and remove the hen of the fridge wearing the best protective gear they could after someone had to go the nurse when their eyes we're pecked at. Along with a few Agents who back down after she brought blood.
Happy found her later that day. Boss had been busy in the lab and hadn't noticed she was missing. Which was a good thing and with that he took her happily in his arms and took her back to her room. (He's got a feeling a bunch of government Agents we're furious at how easy Happy could just pick her up.)
Natasha is undercover at Stark tower and had been for a while when she sees it.
A chicken sitting on the couch looking fairly comfortable. Stark beside her fast asleep and one eye opened as she glared at Natasha.
She backed away slowly knowing if she woke Stark up that hen, would attack with vengeance.
Clint meets her again when Loki tried to brainwash him.
The God walked closer towards him. Storm pecked at the ground. Clint picked the hen up and tossed it at the God face.
"Ba-gawk!"
"Get this beast of me."
And, there goes a God falling out the window with Storm landing on the ground safety.
"I'm starting to see why Stark called you Storm now."
She pecked at the ground.
He wondered if he should pick some grass for her.
Hens like grass, don't they?
"I was saved by a chicken," Clint said sounding far too happy for the Agents when he arrived holding a chicken in his hands.
Steve blinked Natasha isn't impressed.
"Is that a chicken?" Steve asked.
"Yep, fear the almighty Storm," Clint said dramatically. Storm looked fairly smug.
"Stark going to kill you if he found out you stole her," Natasha said.
"Wait? Stark has a chicken? Why does Stark have a chicken?"
Then it clicked because he remembered reading a report on the chicken. Which, felt odd to think about. Storm the ISA brown, red feathers, brown eyes, has a real spitfire personality. May, see Tony Stark as her baby chicken. Tends to throw villains in jail and got on SHIELD kitchen fridge to lay an egg, took ten Agents to get her of that said fridge after she took out an eye and made someone bleed.
Speaking of Stark Iron man just landed on the heilcarrier.
"Has anyone seen Storm?" Stark asked. "She normally hangs out with you lot whenever she isn't around the tower."
"Ba-gawk," Storm said.
Hopping out of Clint hands and walked towards Tony Stark puffing out feathers.
"Never mind. Found her."
"You sure I'm still not asleep in the ice?" Steve asked Natasha.
"Does goldilocks know about a chicken using his hair to make a nest?" Clint asked Phil.
With Stark in the lab with Dr. Banner. Storm seemed to be making it her personal duty to get know every one of them. At the moment she was turning Thor hair into a bird nest. The God either hadn't noticed, or is just letting Storm do as she pleased.
"I'm not too sure," Phill said.
She also liked Dr. Banner as many Agents noticed. For every time Banner would move, she would move, following right behind him, but when the Avengers sat to eat lunch together. Banner found that his food was slowly being passed to him by a hen. She would pick at what he was going to eat and what he wouldn't, making a calling sound as she did so.
"Tony, how do you get her to stop?" Banner asked.
Tony handed him another dish of food. This only made Storm terribly upset when she jumped and flapped her wings.
"Ba-gawk."
Banner ate the dish that the hen hadn't touched.
At least when the Hulk got realised out by Loki, Storm calmly sat on his hand and let the Hulk stoke her feathers.
Loki could only stare at the chicken whom was using the kitchen bench as a perch.
"You know I have a army," Loki said.
"That's nice," Stark said. "And, I have Storm."
"What does that mean?"
Before he got an answer the chicken attack pushing him out of the window. At least he was caught before he fell to his death.
Thus, that is why Loki does not like chickens.
Tony Stark was not breathing.
Steve knows this.
The man just sent a nuke up to space and while the Hulk caught him saving him from the fall it was no use in the end because Tony Stark was not breathing.
"I have someone that wants to see him," Phil said.
Storm is in his hands the chicken looked lost as she turned to Phil before looking up at them.
She walked over towards the still body of Tony Stark and lands on his chest. She tapping gently at the suit.
Nothing.
For Tony Stark is still and he isn't breathing. Steve knows the man is dead. He wonders, if Storm knows.
"That a mother call," Natasha said.
After he hears the chicken making tut, tut sounds.
The Hulk roared. It does not cause the chicken to jump as Steve expected it, but the light on Iron man chest started to glow.
"Please, don't tell me anybody kissed me."
Stark breathing. He's alive, Howard son didn't die.
"Ba-gawk," Storm cheered.
"Now, my brother," Thor said looking towards the tower.
They go to the tower, naturally Storm comes and while Loki is still unconscious, she makes a nest out of the God hair. By the time Loki does wake up he groaned once he noticed a hen was on his head.
Loki tried to remove her, but he flinched when she pecked her.
"I hate chickens," Loki said bitterly.
"Ba-gawk."
"Pretty sure, Storm not a fan of you either," Stark said.
