Dad,

Can I call you that? I think I'm going to, let me know if that bothers you. So, I found out who you were today, where you come from, about your family, and I guess in a sense about mine, though it sure doesn't feel like my family yet. With an introduction to my new family, I lost my old one. A minotaur (I think that's what it's called) took mom. Do you remember her? Sally Jackson? Brown hair, blue eyes, from New York? I hope you do, she's the best. But she's gone now and I don't know what to do. Do you have any advice on how to get her back? I would really appreciate that.

Nobody seems to like me either. Except for this one kid, Luke. And there's this girl Annabeth who's alright. Everybody looks at me as if I'm some sort of outcast. Is that normal for the new kids here? The Ares campers aren't particularly friendly. I received a prophecy the other day too. Something about going west and facing the god who turned. Do you know who that would be?

This world is going to take some getting used to to say the least. I think I might actually like it here, depending on what happens to mom. I couldn't stand losing her. I guess you can't really relate to that though.

I found out one of my teachers is half horse! And my best friend is half… thing! I think they called him a Satyr. Word for the wise: don't tell them they look half donkey, they get pretty upset about that. You probably already knew that though, considering you're 5000 years old.

Anyways, Annabeth, Grover (my best friend the Satyr) and I are off on our quest soon. I will keep you updated when I can.

Hopefully we can meet someday.

Your son,

Percy
