As Ianto stood there, he remembered Jack's words: i"Wear a beekeeper suit. Look, I know you're tempted to eat these alien bees but they aren't quite the same as regular bees. You are much more likely to die as Louibees are even more violent. They will cover you in droves, Ianto."

"I'll try my best, Jack," Ianto had said, voice laced with disappointment. He loved bees. He liked to eat them, even if they didn't like him.

"Please try," Jack had said. "For God's sake, Ianto. Please try just this one time not to eat bees."

But Ianto knew that as soon as he saw their hive, that he couldn't keep his promise. He took the helmet off of his beekeeper suit and approached the louibees' hive. A few flew around the outside of the hive. There were certainly hundreds more inside.

"Time for dinner!" Ianto said. He opened his mouth wide and walked even closer to the hive. These alien bees grew increasingly uncomfortable with this, but Ianto loved them. They may not have loved him, but that didn't matter.

He surged forwards and trapped a louibee in his mouth. He felt a sharp sting in his cheek and then he swallowed. He loved the stingers they left on his insides. The pain was worth it, to love them.

This louibee's other friends did not appreciate Ianto eating their friend. These other bees flew towards Ianto. Ianto held open his mouth as wide as he could, so that a few landed in his mouth. They stung his tongue and the roof of his mouth.

Ianto held up a hand and knocked on the hive. The alien bees flew out in droves, all heading straight for Ianto's face. Some flew into Ianto's beekeeper suit. Others stung his face, and the rest flew into his mouth.

There was a sudden lack of oxygen and Ianto gagged on the volume of louibees as he struggled to breath. Maybe Jack was right.

He felt his life flash before his eyes as he began to lose consciousness from the pain and lack of air. He was certain some bees had gotten into his lungs somehow as he fell to the ground.

Jack had been right, but it had been worth it. He closed his eyes.

It had been worth it to love them.
