This is a challenge story from Neo-Shepard. Anyway here is the story. Naruto lost BOTH his parents when he was four because of Azazel but he does have a good life. This is the story of his family, enjoy.

1. Chapter 1

The Hunter Called Naruto

Kushina was watching a four year old Naruto play with a four year old Lara. She turned back to her TV show before she heard Lara start to cry. She looked at the kids and smiled as she watched Naruto get up and get a toy that Lara was reaching for but wasn't tall enough to get just yet. Naruto had golden blonde spiky hair, blue eyes, lightly tanned skin, three whisker marks on each cheek; he stood at a height of three foot two inches. Lara had straight dark brown hair that reached her shoulders, dark brown eyes, lightly tanned skin, and stood at a height of two foot five inches. Lara smiled when Naruto gave her the toy car that she wanted to play with so that she could race it against the car that Naruto was playing with. Kushina smiled as they played together before turning back to her TV show again.

Two hours later Kushina was putting away dinner while Minato was washing the dishes. Naruto was up stairs brushing his teeth. As he was coming back down the stairs he heard his parents talking to someone. He walked into the kitchen and saw a man standing at the door. The only thing that stood out to Naruto about this guy was that he had pale glowing yellow eyes. Naruto cleared his throat "What are you doing here mister?"

The man with yellow eyes looked at Naruto and smiled "Ah, young Naruto it's so good to see you in person. Now please tell me where your little brothers' room is?"

Naruto raised his eyebrows "I don't have a little brother, I'm an only child. Why do you want to know about that anyways?"

The man sighed "Well this makes things a little more difficult because I would like to do this to someone younger than you."

Naruto rolled his eyes "So?"

The man chuckled "I want you to drink some of my blood out of this bottle. Do this and I will leave without hurting mommy and daddy alright?"

Naruto sighed "Why should I?"

The man smiled "Good kid asks the important questions. Ok kid here's the low down, I need you to drink my blood because sometime in the future there's something big coming and I need soldiers and you're one of them. I might even make Lara one too."

Naruto glares at the man but since he's a child it looks more cute than intimidating "No, just me not her."

The man nods "I'll agree to that. Now come get the bottle and remember that you have to drink it all unless you want me to visit Lara's house next."

Naruto walks towards the man only for Minato and Kushina to get in his way which causes the man with yellow eyes to growl before he snapped his fingers. As he snapped his fingers Minato and Kushina fell to the ground holding their throats because they could barely breathe. Naruto looked at them before looking at the demon and walking up to him before taking the bottle with blood in it. Naruto saw that it was one of those little soda bottles that where for little kids. He pinched his nose and quickly drank all of the blood. After he finished the man took the bottle back and put his hand on Naruto's head before making Naruto fall asleep. The yellow eyed man looked at Naruto's parents with a smirk. When Naruto was woken up by Richard Croft about three hours later he saw that his house was on fire. Naruto looked around and didn't see his parents. Naruto looked at Richard "Where are my parents?"

Richard shook his head "I'm sorry Naruto but their dead."

Naruto had tears gather in his eyes but they didn't fall down his face as he nods. "I'm going to miss them but at least I know that you and Lara are safe. Now I know who to hunt down before I kill him. I'm going to find that yellow eyed freak and kill him."

Twenty-two years later

Naruto and Lara were sitting in a hotel room having dinner that Naruto cooked in the little kitchen that the hotel had. Naruto had changed a little now his hair was longer and he had two bangs that framed his face and went down to his chin. He also had a Martial Artist body build and he stood at six foot seven inches. Lara had changed a little bit too because her hair now reaches her lower back and she had the body build of a Martial Artist, she also stood at five foot eight inches. Naruto checked his cell when he heard it give him an alert and saw that he had a voice mail from Richard. He checked it and heard a message from Richard "Naruto, Lara I'm in Jericho…something's happening and I think that it's serious and I need help…be careful you two."

Before Naruto could say anything the line died and Naruto looked at Lara. "Babe we need to pack for another hunting trip because that was your dad and something has him worried plus there was a lot of static in the call. It sounded like EVP so I'll try to see what it says while you start packing."

Lara nods and runs upstairs to start packing. Naruto walks over to his laptop that he always has recording his cell and replays the call before enhancing the background noise and hears a woman say "I can never go home."

Naruto's eyes widen and he gains a worried look about the message from the woman. Naruto slowly stood up and walked into the bedroom. He walked in the room and saw his wife of four years. "Lara there's something else that you need to know about that call. There was a woman's voice that caused the EMF in the call. The woman said "I can never go home.""

Lara looked at Naruto with wide eyes before tears started to gather in her eyes at the thought of losing her dad the same way she lost her mom ten years ago. Naruto walked up to her and pulled her into his arms so that she could cry into his chest. She wrapped her arms around his neck and started to shake with silent sobs at the thought of losing her father. Richard and Naruto were all the family that she had left because she and Naruto weren't ready to bring a child into this world. Five minutes later Lara calmed down enough that Naruto was able to lift her chin up and lovingly kissing her after wiping the tears off her face and out of her eyes. She smiled at him before laying her head back on to his chest and snuggling into him as his arms wrapped around her. Naruto smiled and kissed the top of her head while holding her. "Babe as much as I want to stand here with you in my arms like this but we need to get packed so that we can get to Jericho where your dad is at so that we can help him with anything that he might need."

Lara sighed and stepped away before nodding "Alright dear but we need to make sure that we can fight anything that we could encounter out there."

Naruto nods "I know and trust me we can deal with this so that we can get things that we need to get help your dad."

Lara nodded and forty minutes later they were in Naruto's heavily modified black 1970 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda. (A/N Nash Bridges' Barracuda just black and with a hard top.) Naruto was wearing his hunter outfit which was a black knee-length leather jacket with a red Uzumaki Swirl on the back, two one inch wide red stripes half an inch apart on his upper arms, and a small snap-able strap on each shoulder, an orange muscle shirt, a silver ring on his left ring finger, black faded jeans and black steel-toed boots.

Lara was also in her hunter outfit which consisted of a black short sleeved shirt, dark brown leather jacket with buckles on the cuffs, black skin tight pants tucked into knee high dark brown boots. (A/N she's wearing the same outfit as Black Widow in the freeway fight with the winter solider from Captain America the Winter Solider.)

They were traveling towards Jericho, California to find Richard and make sure that he was alright. It took them five hours of driving to get there. While they were driving there was a young man in his car on his way home from work and on the phone with his girlfriend. This man is Troy Squire. "Amy I can't come over tonight."

His girlfriend said something on the other end and he smiled "Because I have work in the morning that's why."

Amy said something else and Troy sighed "I miss it and my dad has my ass."

Static starts to interfere with his phone and radio before his radio starts to change the station on its own. Tory then sees a lady in a white dress standing on the side of the road so he stops while pulling over "Hey babe, I'm gonna have to call you back."

Troy hangs up before rolling down the passenger window "Do you need a ride?"

The lady looked at him "Take me home?"

Troy nods and opens the door for her "Sure get in."

The girl gets in and Tory looks at her "Where do you live?"

She looked at him then towards the road in front of them "At the end of Franken Ridge Road."

He looked at her "So you coming home from a Halloween party of something?"

She just looked at him before he chuckled nervously "You know a girl like you shouldn't be out here all on your own."

The woman looked down then looked back at him "I'm here with you."

This caused Troy to smile and lightly nod his head. The lady starts to pull her dress teasingly up her thighs before looking at him "Do you think I'm pretty?"

He nods and smiles "Yeah."

She smiled "Will you come home with me?"

Troy nods "Hell yeah."

He then takes off fast enough for his tires to squeal before the car starts moving. Ten minutes later he pulled up to a rundown house "Come on you don't live here. Where do you live?"

She looks at the house "I can never go home."

Troy looked at the house "What do you mean? Who even lives here?"

When he looked to the passenger's seat he saw that she was gone so he got out of the car. He looked around before walking towards the house when he didn't see her. "Come on, this joke is over now. Want me to leave?"

He turns towards his car after looking into a boarded up window since he heard a noise behind him. When he didn't see anything he started to walk back to his car before the door to the house swings up and spokes him. He spun around as fast as he could before seeing something move inside the house. Troy screamed and got back into his car before getting out of there as fast as he could. He pulled off onto a bridge panting and looking around in fear before he leaned back into his seat and closed his eyes. A few seconds later he opened them only to see the woman in the passenger seat again. He started screaming before everything goes silent but his car is still running.

The next day Naruto had pulled into a gas station to get some gas while Lara was sleeping. He came back out with a bag before knocking on the window to wake her up. She opened her eyes and smiled at him "Good morning babe."

Naruto leaned down and kissed her forehead "Good morning sweetheart. Do you want your breakfast now or do you want your drink first?"

She took the bag from him to look through while he started to put gas in the car. Five minutes later he got in the car and saw that she was looking through the missing person reports on the victims from the case that her dad was working on before he left them the message. Naruto looked at her "Anything stand out to you love?"

Lara sighed and shook her head "No, I'm worried that we're missing something and that if we don't find it soon my dad is going to end up dead. I can't lose my dad this was Naruto, I just can't."

Naruto put an arm around her shoulders and pulled her towards him until she was snuggled into his side with her face buried in the crook of his neck "Don't worry Lara, I know he's still alive because there is no way that anything less than the demon that took your mom is going to be able to stop him. He's too strong and smart for that to happen."

Lara nodded "Thank you for being here to help me with all of this. I'm sorry that we had to ruin our romantic weekend for this."

Naruto gave her a gently squeeze "Don't worry about one weekend babe, family is important and I will now allow you to go through this alone while I can be here to help."

Lara smiles and pulls Naruto into a kiss before he pulled away "We will find your dad and then we will make sure that we get the yellow eyed demon that killed you mom ten years ago babe."

Lara nods and they start driving again. Twenty minutes later they drive up to the local cops looking at an abandoned car on a bridge. Naruto pointed at the cops "Lara, look at that."

Lara looked at what Naruto was pointing at. He pulled over and she opened the glove box before getting their psychic papers out so that they could ask questions to the cops without getting into trouble. They walked up and heard two of the cops ending a conversation "You had another one like this about a month ago right?"

The cop closes to them looked at them "Who are you two?"

They pulled out their psychic papers that showed the cops that they were FBI Agents. "We're FBI Agents. I'm Agent Smith and this is my wife, just call me Naruto, and my wife Lara. Now you had another one like this about a month ago right?"

The cop nods "Yeah, we found the car but no one inside and no evidence of any foul play. We don't understand what's going on here. Why is the FBI investigating this?"

Naruto smiled "Well thank you for the information that you just gave and we're here because we're the only two of our department that work for our new division which has us going around and looking into anything like this, but only if the local law enforcement can't find anything first. Now is there any connection between the victims?"

The cop shakes his head "Not that we can see."

Naruto nods and reaches his hand out for the cop to shake "Well thank you for the information and we'll start looking into the case so that we hope we can work with you all."

The cop smiled and shook Naruto's hand "We're looking forward to that Naruto, thank you both for coming to help us with all of these disappearances because we haven't been able to make heads or tails of any of this."

Naruto nods and he and Lara go to leave before the sheriff walks up "Can I help you two?"

Lara smiles "No, thank you but we were just leaving though we will be in contact with you so that we can ask any other questions that we might have alright?"

The sheriff nods and Lara hands him a card with her cell on it so that he could reach them if something else came up. They left after that and went into town to start asking around about Troy. They walked up to a girl putting up missing person flyers with Troy's picture and name on it along with a number to call if someone finds him. They walk up to her and Lara smiles at her "Excuse me, are you Amy?"

Amy looks at them and nods "Yes, can I help you?"

They pull out their psychic papers and show her some identification "We're FBI and we're here because your boyfriend isn't the first person to simply vanish without a trace. We're just here to ask you a few questions so that we can get all the details about what happened to Troy so that we could try to find him."

Another girl walks up and puts a hand on Amy's arm "Are you alright?"

Amy nods "Yeah, I'm good."

Naruto looked at both girls "Would you mind answering some questions for us about Troy's disappearance?"

The girls nod and a few minutes later all of them were sitting in a restaurant with the two girls having drinks. Naruto looked at Amy and saw her necklace. "I like your necklace."

Amy smiled "Thanks Troy got if for me. Really upset my parents, you know all that devil worshipping and all."

Naruto smiled "Well actually that's meant to protect you from things like that; I know that because my wife's father came from a family that believed in all of that."

Amy looked surprised "Wow, I didn't know that."

Lara smiled "Yeah my husband tends to spit out random knowledge like that all the time. It's honestly kind of scary about all the things his brain holds for him sometimes. But I love him anyways, so what can you tell us about Troy before he disappeared last night?"

The two girls giggled at the look of embarrassment on Naruto's face before Amy sighed "He was on the phone with me when he said he had to go but he promised to call me right back but he never did and then I heard this morning that he vanished into thin air."

The other girl sighed "Amy you know the legend about that road at night."

Lara and Naruto looked at each other before turning to the girls and Naruto opens his mouth "What legend?"

The girl looked at him "Well you know what they say, I'm sure that someone told you by now."

Naruto shook his head "No one had told us anything so why don't you tell us what you know?"

The girl nods "There's this girl that died on that road like decades ago, it's said that she haunts that road and men keep disappearing without a trace."

Naruto and Lara smiled before standing up and putting some money on the table "Thank you for your time ladies."

The girls nod while Naruto and Lara walked away while thinking about what they might be facing with all of this. They went to the library to do some search on the legend. Naruto found something and called his wife over to look at it. "Constance Welch took a dive after her kids died in the house that her and her husband lived in, it says here that her husband commented 'Our babies were gone and Constance just couldn't stand it.'"

Lara looked at the picture of the bridge where Constance jumped to her death. "Does that bridge look familiar to you?"

Naruto looked at the picture and noticed that it was where Troy's car had been found that morning. He sighed "Well looks like we need to go back to the bridge to see if we can find something that might help with all of this so that we can put the woman to rest."

Lara nods and they walk out. Twenty minutes later Naruto parked the car and they got out before walking along the bridge. When they were about fifteen feet from the car Lara saw Constance while Naruto was looking down at the water to see if he could see something from up here that the cops might have missed. Lara tapped Naruto on his shoulder "Naruto look."

Naruto looked at where his wife was pointing and saw Constance was standing on the bridge like he was going to jump. They started to run towards her and Naruto got ahead of Lara before reaching out his hand to stop her "Wait there is no reason to jump!"

Constance suddenly disappeared so they stopped running and started to look around. Lara sighed "Where is she?"

They heard the car start and turned towards it. Naruto sighed "Not this again, why can't you ghosts just try to attack us head on?"

The car started to race towards them and Naruto pulled Lara out of the way as he jumped to avoid being hit by the car, he then pulled them over the side of the bridge where he held them up with one arm while the other was holding Lara against him. She was sitting on his arm with her arms around his neck. Naruto when they didn't hear anything Naruto told her to look and see if the car was waiting on them to come back up. When she said that it was fine he pulled them back up enough for her to get back onto the bridge before he pulled himself back over the side. They made sure that there was nothing else wrong with the car before they got back in and drove away. Ten minutes later they pull into a motel and checked in the manager looked at the I.D that Lara handed him "You guys having a reunion or something?"

Naruto looked at him confused "What do you mean?"

The manager nods "There was an older man that came in here about a week ago and brought out a room for a whole month."

Lara pulled out a picture "Is this the man?"

The manager looked at the picture that Lara showed him that was a picture of Richard and Lara from about a year ago. The manager nods again "Yeah that's him."

Lara smiled "Could you please tell us what room he's staying in so that we can go let him know that we're here?"

The manager sighed "Sure it's room 122."

Naruto nods and hands the man some money, we'll be taking a room that's available."

He was handed a key for room 131. They walked to the room that Richard was staying in while he was here. Naruto pulled out his sonic screwdriver (10th from Doctor Who) and unlocked the key so that they could take a look around. Lara also had a sonic screwdriver (11th from Doctor Who). The both of them pulled out a pistol each. Lara's is a HK USP Match while Naruto's is a Colt M1911A1. It's not the gun he was always going to use but the one he was building still needed some more parts before it was ready to be used on hunts. They didn't see anyone but they did see all of the information that Richard had collected while he was hunting this thing. Naruto walked up to a wall and saw that Richard had all of the information about all of the missing victims hung there. They looked around and Naruto saw something sticking out from under the mattress. When he pulled it out he saw that it was Richards Journal on the supernatural. "Babe, I have your dad's journal here and we both know that he doesn't go anywhere without it so he must have left it here for us."

Lara walked over and took her dad's journal from Naruto "That's not all he left behind; we're looking for a Woman in White so it would look like Constance is killing these men."

Naruto looked at the pictures of the men on the wall "You're all scum bags because there is no way in hell you should be unfaithful to your girlfriends or your wives."

This earned Naruto a loving kiss from his wife. Naruto smiled when she pulled away. They looked around some more before packing everything away and leaving the room to go to their own for the night. The next morning they go to talk with Joseph Welch about his late wife Constance. He had some lovely things to say about her and how she was the love of his life. Joseph also told them that she was buried in a plot by their old house. Lara looked at Naruto and he nods "Sir it's well known that women who find out that their husbands were unfaithful have a moment of insanity where they kill their children."

Joseph looked angry at Naruto "Constance would never have harmed the children even if I had made some mistakes. Now get off my property before I call the cops."

They watch him walk into his house before getting back into the car and drive away. Naruto shook his head "Well it's not perfect but how about I drop you off at their old place while I go see I can find Constance to distract her while you burn her bones?"

Lara shook her head "No, that feels like a bad idea to me babe."

Naruto sighed "Yeah me too but I didn't know what else to do."

Lara nods and smiled before leaning into Naruto's side with her head resting on his shoulder. Naruto put his arm around her shoulder before gently kissing the top of her head. "You tired hungry babe?"

He felt her nod against his shoulder and pulled into a diner five minutes later "Well let's go get some breakfast before we really get started for the day."

An hour later they're driving down the road back from the plot where Constance should've been buried. They looked for her bones but they couldn't find them so they were going to get some sleep before thinking about something else tomorrow morning. Naruto glanced at his wife "Babe if you're tired you can lay your head on my shoulder and get some sleep while I get back to the motel."

Lara smiled and curled into Naruto's side before closing her eyes. Though she snapped them back open less than a minute later when Naruto slammed on the breaks because Constance appeared in front of them out of nowhere. They looked around for her when they heard a female voice from the back seat "Take me home."

Naruto looked at her from the rear view mirror "No."

She looked at him and forcefully said "Take me home."

Naruto shook his head "Not going to happen."

The car started to drive on its own and when Naruto tried to stop it or make it turn in a different direction nothing worked. That's when Naruto looked at Lara "Well guess we're going along for the ride now babygirl."

Twenty minutes later the car stopped at the old Welch house. Naruto sighed "Don't do this."

Constance didn't seem to hear him "I can never go home."

Naruto's eyes widened "You're scared to go home."

Lara caught on to what Naruto was getting out and smiled. Naruto started the car and drove right into the house. They got out of the car only for Constance to use a dresser and pin them to a wall before she looked up the stairs where two children appeared. A boy and girl looked at Constance before talking in unison "You came back to us mommy."

The kids disappeared and reappeared next to their mother before grabbing her. Constance screamed as she and her kids dissipated leaving behind a wet spot on the floor. Naruto pushed the dresser off of them before looking around "Well that explained why she said that she couldn't go back home. This is where she drowned her own kids."

Lara nods "I just want to go back to the motel so that I can take a shower and that we can get some sleep after having something to eat. You need a shower too."

Naruto smiled "Sure plus I want to look through your dad's journal before we leave I also want to have a copy of this made so that we can put this one somewhere safe."

With that they got back into the car and backed out of the house before driving away. Thirty minutes later they were back in their motel room. Lara was taking a shower while Naruto was leafing through Richard's journal before he saw something that made his eyes widen. He saw that Richard had put his and Lara's names down with numbers in a circle and numbers under them.

Lara came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her. Naruto looked up "Your dad's not here anymore babe, but he did leave us one thing."

Lara looked at him "What do you mean?"

Naruto turned the journal towards her and showed her the message that her dad left them. "I think your dad wanted us to find this and go here because I know that these are coordinates to somewhere in Colorado. Lost Creek I think, that means that whatever your dad wants us to find is here."
