[D.W. is playing in the yard]
D.W.: "I love to run around the yard."
[Then D.W. sees a hot dog covered in dirt on the ground]
D.W.: "Ooh a hot dog. I'm going to keep it."
Arthur: [comes out of the house] "Hi D.W., what do you got in your hand?"
D.W.: [hides the dirty hot dog behind her back] "Nothing."
Arthur: "Oh okay then."
[D.W. then sneaks into her room with the hot dog and puts it on her dresser]
D.W.: "Hmm this a perfect place to put my hot dog."
[D.W. then runs out of her room]
[Meanwhile Jane was in the living room working on bills]
Jane: "Okay last bill to pay."
D.W.: "Hi mom! I found something cool in our yard."
Jane: "What did you find?"
D.W.: "Oh it's a secret."
[At nighttime everyone was at the dinner table]
David: "D.W., your mom told me you found something cool."
D.W.: "Yes indeed and it's a secret, so I can't tell anyone."
David: "Oh okay."
[Bedtime]
D.W.: "My hot dog is so cool."
[D.W. then goes to sleep]
[The next morning]
D.W.: "Time for me to have some fun today."
[D.W. then heads to her dresser and gets her usual clothes but then sees cockroaches on her hot dog]
D.W.: "Eww! Why is there bugs on my hot dog?"
[D.W. then changes out of her pajamas to her usual clothes]
D.W.: "Time to go play."
Jane: [comes in the room] "Morning D.W., you look great today."
D.W.: "Thank you mom and morning."
[Jane then walks over to D.W.'s dresser]
Jane: "What is this on your dresser?"
D.W.: "Oh um a dirty hot dog."
Jane: "Really? And why is there roaches in here? [gasps] Did you keep the hot dog in your room overnight?"
D.W.: "Yeah and I'm keeping it forever."
Jane: "Dora Winifred Read, we do not keep dirty food in your room and our rooms. Now I have to try to get it out of your room."
David: "What is all of this chatting about?"
Jane: "Ask D.W."
D.W.: "Look dad here is the surprise." [shows him the dirty hot dog]
David: "D.W.! You kept a hot dog in your room overnight?"
D.W.: "Yeah."
[David then goes into the kitchen and grabs a plastic bag and bug spray and comes back into D.W.'s room]
David: "D.W. there are roaches in your room. Now I have to kill them."
[David then deposits the hot dog in the bag and kills the roaches with the big spray]
David: "They're dead now time to throw them in the bag]
[David then throws the dead roaches in the bag and goes outside and throws them in the dumpster, after that he goes back inside and washes his hands]
[Back in D.W.'s room D.W. is getting grounded by Jane]
Jane:: "You are grounded for one week, D.W.!"
D.W.: "Yeah yeah fine."
Jane: "The only times you are out are preschool, going to the bathroom and eating breakfast, lunch and dinner."
D.W.: "Fine I'll stay in here."
Jae: "Good. Now goodbye."
[Jane then closes D.W.'s bedroom door]
