So, this will be Fairy Tail x The Promised Neverland fic. However instead of having both sides meet each other, I will have their world kind have a merged together. Nothing personal, but The Promised Neverland charm comes from strategic thinking and elaborated plans. We get very worried on what will happen next. Fairy Tail, we all know they are going to be ok, because they always win. Besides I didn't want the post dramatic and serious character of The Promised Neverland have to interact and have to endure Natsu and the happy go luck guild. This will be different and this idea I think it will be a good one. Enjoy.
Years ago
Emma looked at the gate that was in front of her house and wonder what could be on the other side. The little girl only has so much thought of what could be out there.
''So that's the open world.'' Said Emma.
''Emma.'' Said a sweet girl voice.
The orange hair girl turned around and see another girl, she was the same age as her. However, she was blonde, with a long hair in a pony tail and has blue eyes. Her name is Lucy and her number on her neck is 44194.
''Lucy.'' Said Emma all happy.
''What are you doing?" Asked the blonde.
''I wanted to see a lit bit of the outside.'' Said Emma.
''You can't do that. Mom will be angry and sad.'' Said Lucy
''But I…'' Said Emma wanting to see more.
''No Emma. I don't want you to go right now.'' Said Emma holding the girl hand.
They were like sister to each, and technically they were. They were both orphans of the Grace Field Orphanage and they both cared for each other deeply.
''Yeah, you're right. I must be dreaming a lot again.'' Said Emma
''One day we will all leave and have family of our owns.'' Said Lucy
''But if you don't talk to me again? Like the others.'' Asked Emma all sad. All the kids that left, never spoke to them again. That worried Emma.
''I promise I will. I will never forgive you guys.'' Said Lucy hugging Emma.
''Thanks Lucy.'' Said Emma hugging the blonde.
Soon the two went back to the fields near the house holding hands as they try to walk in the snow.
''Lucy, Emma where are you two?'' Asked their legal guardian Isabella, or mom as they all called her.
''We are here mom.'' Said Lucy.
The older woman saw the two girls and only shake her head in wonder.
''Oh my…what were you two doing this far away from the house?'' Asked her.
''Just playing.'' Said Emma.
''Good, now get inside and get cleaned. Supper will be in a few minutes. We will have stew tonight.'' Said her.
''Yes!''' Said the two girls all happy.
The two ran inside the house and went to get ready for dinner. Isabella only laughs of their innocent; however she need to keep them away from the gate for a while.
Years later
It was the year 2045 and things around the Gracefield house were anything but quiet.
Lucy was now 11-year-olds and she and Emma were like ´´The Big sisters´´ of the Gracefield orphanage. Both of them took good care of their little brothers and sister with much attention and love. There they were all family, and they share those moment deeply every day.
While Lucy was calm and collected Emma was the complete opposite.
''Wake up! Everyone!'' Scream Emma waking everyone up.
''Emma no. Just some five more minutes.'' Said Lucy all tired.
''Wake up Lucy.'' Scream Emma accidentally kicking Lucy out of the bed.
Kick
''Ouch.'' Said Lucy with her face hitting the ground.
''Oh sorry.'' Said Emma.
''You´re dead Emma.'' Said Lucy all angry.
''AAAAH!" Scream Emma running away.
Emma scream waked up the rest of the kids. That was like their second rooster, if the first one didn't wake them, the second one will.
''Come on Emma. Just one little punch.'' Said Lucy wanting to hit Emma.
''Stop it. I am sorry.'' Said Emma.
''that's what you said last time, and the time before that and before that.'' Said Lucy.
Emma and lucy chase stop once they saw the rest of their siblings up and they see that they need it some attention.
''Emma, I can't tie my shoe.'' Said one of the little kids.
''Relax, I will be there.' Said Emma.
''Lucy, I can't fit in my clothes.'' Said Phil trying to fit into his clothes.
''Phil stop moving. You just put in the wrong way.'' Said Lucy.
''Sorry Lucy.'' Said Phil.
They were the oldest girls in the house, so they need it to take care of all their small siblings.
''Good morning Emma.'' Said Gilda while putting her glasses.
''Morning.'' Said Emma.
''Hi Gilda.'' Said Lucy.
''Morning Lucy.'' Said Gilda.
''Hi Emma, Lucy.'' Said Conny waking up while holding her precious bunny plushie.
''Conny, little bunny.'' Said Lucy hugging the little girl.
The blonde girl saw all the kids jumping down and going to the dinner center, so they need it to be there too.
''Come on Emma. We need to help set the table.'' Said Lucy.
''I am coming in a….'' Said Emma but not before she was hit in the back.
Tack
''What was that?' Asked Emma confused.
''Tag you are in Emma.'' Said Thomas with another kid.
''I am going to get you two.'' Said Emma.
Lucy only smile at that. Even being the older kid, Emma was still a big kid.
''Well, it appears that Emma wake up in a good mod today.'' Said Gilda.
''Yes, and I am glad for that every day.'' Said Lucy.
The girls went to the dinner center where two older boys were setting up the meals for everyone.
''Norman, Ray.'' Said Lucy seeing the two.
''Morning lucy.'' Said Norman.
''Morning.'' Said Ray.
''So, you are going to help us set the table?" Asked Norman with a smile.
''Yes.'' Said Lucy helping the boys.
''Good at least you are not like the giant toddler there.'' Said Ray looking at Emma.
''Hey, I am eleven just like you three.'' Scream Emma.
Soon their mother appeared, and she laugh at that moment.
''Emma, you are really like a big kid.'' Said Isabella laughing at Emma.
While Lucy saw Emma being comforted at their mother arms, she help set the table with Norman and Ray.
''Can we play after breakfast?'' Asked Lucy to Norman
''Sure, it will be great.'' Said Norman.
''I am only going outside to read. I can be the judge.'' Said Ray.
''Come on Ray. Lighten up.'' Said Lucy with a smile.
The dark-haired boy only ignore her and decided to focus on setting the table.
Lucy then saw Isabella looking a little worried and wonder what could it be.
''Mama are you ok?'' Asked Lucy.
''I am fine Lucy. Just a little agitated like always. Have to care of you all is a blessing, but I need to be alerted all the time.'' Said Isabella.
''Mom you are always attention to all of us.'' Said Emma with a smile.
''Is ok, this is just my motherly instinct.'' Said her.
''Dramatic a bit much.'' Said Ray rolling his eyes.
Lucy only laughs at that as she get ready for breakfast.
''We are thankful for this food.'' Said Isabella as all the orphans do their prays.
Later they had their daily test and homework assignment. They learn everything they need right there at the orphanage. Lucy was really good at those tests, she used was one of the first one to end alongside Norman or Ray.
Once the test were over Isabella would say who were the one that scored the highest.
''Emma, Lucy, Ray and Norman once again hit the higher score. All the answers correct with the 300 points.'' Said Isabella all happy.
The three of them all celebrate in happiness, Ray was the only one that preferred to this quiet.
''yeah!'' Said Emma and Lucy all happy.
''Ok kids, this is all. You can go and play.'' Said Isabella.
''Yes mommy.'' Scream them.
Lucy went outside and saw everyone playing like there was nothing to be worried in this world, this what she liked.
''Hey Lucy, wanna play tag?" Asked Emma.
'Sure.'' Said Lucy.
The kids all went to play tag and they loved to do that. There was only one person that always didn't want to participate.
''Look Emma, Ray is still at the tree.'' Said Lucy seeing the boy sitting all by himself with a book.
''Let him sit there. He likes to be the judge.'' Said Emma
''Come on Ray, play with us. Is good for your body.'' Said Lucy.
''I don't need that. I am fine with my book.'' Said him.
''You are always reading. Play and exercise sometimes.'' Said Lucy.
The dark-haired boy only ignore that and keeps reading his book.
''Come on Ray, one day you never see us again and don't you regret that?'' Asked Lucy.
''I don't think that socializing is Ray specialty. He is a bit of a loner.'' Said Norman with a smirk.
Lucy didn't like that; she was 11 now. It means she will get adopted soon, so she wanted to have as much fun as she could with all her brothers and sisters.
''Come on Ray, play with us.'' Said Lucy.
''Sorry, but no.'' Said him all non-challan.
Lucy didn't like that, so decided to go with plan B.
''Then let me read with you.'' Said her.
''What?'' Asked Ray confused.
''Yes, if you don't wanna stay with us. I will stay with you.'' Said Lucy sitting next to a very confused Ray.
Emma was also with a very confused face that could match the one that Ray have. Lucy and him were very close now, meanwhile Norman was just laughing at all that.
''Come on Emma. Let's leave Ray…this will be funny.'' Said Norman whispering the last part.
''Ok.'' Said Emma with a giggle.
Lucy looked at Ray in the eyes, while the boy seeing to be embarrassed somehow.
''Ok, but you have to promise to be quiet while I read.'' Said
''Sure, I will be quiet as rock.'' Said Lucy with a smile
''Fine.'' Said Ray.
The two kept reading the book quiet and in peace. Lucy was actually enjoying this, while Ray was feeling a little out of place.
''I didn't know you could read this advanced.'' Said Lucy impressed.
''Is kind of a hobby of mine. You will be surprised what kind books they have in the library.'' Said Ray.
''You can show me Ray? Please?" Asked Lucy.
Ray didn't know what to say. Lucy was pretty close to his face and he was almost blushing.
''Sure. But I won't be there all the time to help you out.'' Said Ray annoyed.
Inside of the Grace Field House, Isabella look at the children playing, specifically Ray and Emma bonding in that tree.
''Oh my.'' Said her laughing.
The woman couldn't believe this was happening. Ray and Lucy, well they were 11 already.
''Uh…I didn't imagine this to be happen to them. Am I right…Layla?'' Asked Isabella talking alone.
She then heard the clock and saw what time it was. It was almost noon.
''Oh dear. Is almost time.'' Said her.
Back to the kids.
Lucy stay most afternoon with Ray reading his book. It was good, but kind hard in some parts.
''Wow is already this late.'' Said Lucy looking at the orange sky.
''Yes, it amazing how time pass by.'' Said Ray closing the book.
Lucy then saw everyone gathering inside and saw the other kids talking.
''Why is everyone going to the little kids room?" Asked Phil
''Connie is going to leave. She got chosen. Isn't this amazing, she is going to be adopted.'' Said Don.
Ray upon hearing that felt like he had a not in his stomach.
''Connie is going to have a real family. Isn't that great Ray?" Asked Lucy.
''Yeah…it is.'' Said him.
''But I don't wanna be adopted right now. If possible, I would like to stay here at the orphanage until I get older.'' Said Lucy.
''Lucy, just be happy how you are right now.'' Said Ry.
''But Ray don't you wanna imagine how life is outside. Imagine the wonders that we can have once we get adopted.'' Said Lucy imagining the world outside and all the adventures that a person can have it.
''You need to stop hanging out with Emma too much.'' Said Ray.
''No.'' Said Lucy with a smile and tongue to Ray.
The boy only smiles at that as he went back home. But it seems he was going to say something.
''Look…forget, its nothing.'' Said Ray.
Lucy didn't know what he was going to say, but it appears it was really nothing.
''Ok.'' Said Lucy going inside to play with Connie.
Ray went back home, and he went talk with his mom.
''So how was with her?" Asked Isabella.
''It was ok. She is kind of annoying, but not as much as Emma.'' Said Ray.
''Sure.'' Said Isabella with a smirk.
Ray didn't like that look. Bad enough he had that huge guilt in his shoulders, now he has to deal with that crap.
While Ray was doing some shady things, Lucy went to find Connie.
''Hey Connie.'' Said Lucy.
''Lucy.'' Said the little kid.
''I decided to stay with you for the rest of the evening.'' Said Lucy.
''Oh really? Thanks, I am going to miss you the most.'' Said Connie all sad.
''don't worry Connie we will still talk to each other. I will write to you every day.'' Said Lucy
'You promise?'' Asked Connie
'I promise. Now let's go and play.'' Said Lucy holding the little girl hand.
As Lucy play with Connie, she felt like nothing could go wrong. It was sad that she won't be seeing Connie in a regular base, but she would be happy with her new family, right? Right?
Sadly for Lucy, she will discover the truth about the orphanage and what those numbers mean to it.
