So, this is just a little One-Shot about Esther and Ansel and how Ansel felt watching the women he loves leave him, and watching his son grew up with Mikael as a father.

'She needed to be free to that's what made me take another look at her.'

I shake my head from the thought of Esther I know it's no point in looking back on the past, but as I watch her walk away from me I remember how she first found her way into my life.

It was about a year ago my pack had just been through a vicious attack from a rival pack. We survived of course but it was a horrible battle, and many were left injured, too injured for our werewolves healing, especially for the ones who haven't tapped into their abilities yet, and we were forced to venture into town to ask them for help.

We all have an unspoken agreement with each other. The wolves stay out of town unless absolutely necessary, and the townies stay out of the woods and away from our camp.

None of the other wolves likes it but I'm the Alpha and it's my job to do what's best for my pack members even if they don't like it.

When we stepped into the line of sight of the town people they all stopped and stared, some looking fearful like they thought we were here to hurt them. For a moment no one said anything and then one brave women stepped forward. Her.

From the moment we locked eyes we both were struck. It's like there was this instinct connection between us and all I wanted to do was get closer to this women.

Our eyes locked on each other and nothing could break the connection we had. Until he stepped out. Her husband I later found out.

I hated him from the moment I saw him. I hated the way he looked at her, with not an ounce of love, but with intense disdain. I hated how her confident demeaner changed from to something small and submissive.

I just had this intense dislike for this man.

He looked at me in disgust like I was nothing more than dirt on the ground. It made the exchange very tense.

I stared him right in the eye, something I could tell he hated, and explained we needed a witch to do some healing spells to help one of my pack members who's been injured.

For a moment I was sure no one would help he seemed to just be blankly staring at us as I stared right back. After a moment he turned towards his wife and after a tense discussion with his wife he walked off, and after a moment everyone seemed to go back to what they were doing before.

I turned back towards her the women with the beautiful golden hair and strong blue eyes that are filled with both sadness and pain, but with a hidden strength inside her.

I wanted to bring it out. I wanted to see who she really was on the inside.

On the walk about to the camp she walked next to me not talking or even looking at anyone. It was obvious she wanted nothing more than to be away from us.

Looking back on things were between us from the beginning I still wonder how this managed to change to rapidly.

Curiosity I guess.

I just needed to know who she was. Why when I looked at her I felt such a strong connection, a desperate need to be near her.

So, because of this I wasn't able to keep quiet for long. I stayed near her while she healed the few member who needed it, and after I offered to walk her back to town. She tried to refuse but I insisted.

As we walked back I stood closer to her than I needed, and felt a surge of happiness when she didn't move away. I didn't stop their I just started speaking at first thanking for her help then about anything I could think of. What's her name? What's her life like? Who was that awful man, and why did she let him speak to her like that?

At this she stopped at turned to me. "That's Mikael my husband, and he's grieving for the loss of his daughter. What am I supposed to do?"

"His daughter don't you mean 'our daughter.' Last time I check it takes two to make a child. Why do you let him treat you so horrible in a time when you BOTH are grieving." I respond back. I don't know why I'm saying this. I know it's not my business but if no one says anything she'll just let this keep living like this.

I see her looking at me in angry. I just don't know if it anger because she knows I'm right and isn't ready to admit this, or because I'm overstepping my boundaries by saying this.

Then I realize something I can relate to her. I know what it's like to feel bound to something or someone that you love by grief, but feel like your loosing a part of you.

Years ago, when I was at the point in my life where I was just considered an adult I wanted to go out into the world and experience what it had to offer. Something I couldn't do being a high-ranking member of not only my pack but THE Pack.

The reason we have so many attack on us is because of who we descend from.

Fenrir was a strong man and General of his own army of men living in the same are we are now when a group of witches with some men came through causing trouble. Killing, raping, stealing and trying to take over in the area.

Fenrir tried to fight against them but there were so many, and they had covens of witches helping them. Stopping Fenrir's men from being able to harm them, killing his men with their magic.

Desperate he found a lone witch not with these men and pleaded with her help, and while she agreed she knew she wasn't strong enough against more than one coven. So, she prayed to the ancestor begging for help and sparingly they answered.

Under the light of the full moon a wolf suddenly came out of no where and bit Fenrir hard of his neck before it disappeared in the blink of an eye. When Fenrir woke hours later he was howling in pain as his bones began to break and he suddenly turned into a wolf himself.

Legend says he was black as night standing a few feel tall. He roared toward the moon before turning towards his men, all stricken in horror at their leaders transformation, he ran towards the 7 men who been under his command the longest before he bit them and they turned into wolves too, not as big as him but still strong.

All the men around began to run fearing they too would turn, but it was too late, and their fears were becoming true. All were turned, and all had this sense of being united under one goal; to take down the people hunting in their land.

And they did by morning all the witches and men were dead, and Fenrir and his people turned back into humans.

They all assumed this was a one-time thing and that they were never going to turn again something that some of them weren't happy with. Sadly, Fenrir wasn't aware that at least 3 of his men had been helping the witches and men in exchange for gold. They liked being wolves the speed, the strength, and the taste of blood in their mouths as they tore at their victims was something they couldn't get enough of.

Over the next 4 months things went bad within his army. The men who liked being wolves couldn't had changed they might've hidden how bloodthirsty they were before, but now it was impossible. Whatever humanity they use to have seemed to disappear. Talking about their kill desperate trying to relive it. Whatever humanity they use to have seemed to disappear causing Fenrir to turn away from them fearing what he caused his men to become, and also learning of their betrayals.

Fenrir was surprised to learn the men seemed to have a loyalty toward the specific men who bite them, some loyal even to a leader they despised, they had no control they just followed any orders.

Fenrir also learned that unlike his men he could turn whenever he wanted to. He was stronger and faster than the others. He was quickly becoming a perfect blend of man and wolf, something that greatly upset the others. He also was able to turn quickly and with no pain unlike the others first transformation.

Quintin, Jonas, and Viktor three learned about the difference between them and Fenrir they caused an uproar. Their members of their pack demanded they go to Fenrir and make them be able to turn again, or at least give them the extra abilities he seems to have.

Fenrir refused. He like them had no idea why he was still able to turn unlike them. Looking out at the other wolves he wasn't afraid he knew the couldn't harm them, he was the first wolf. While they couldn't turn again they were still bound to him by the bite the ancestors magic gave him, so if he died so did they. He was the only wolf that could turn they wouldn't risk killing him… Yet

Fenrir also had a good reason reason to live. Over the last few months as these three men let their true colors show they'd caused his life to crumble. Some men didn't like the bite and were upset and being forced to transform and kill in this way, some these three men used to their advantage turning them against Fenrir.

The pack were split between Fenrir and these men with Fenrir only having his twin brothers pack hesitantly siding with him. With the last pack being undecided and the other completely siding with Viktor who'd become their leader of sorts.

Fenrir moves out toward the woods living alone until he ran upon the witch who helped him become a wolf in the first place, he learned her name was Lani. They became friends and it wasn't long before they became more than that too. After months of courting Lani had just learned she was pregnant with a baby she knew would become a son.

Standing their facing off these men Fenrir knew there's nothing these men could do to make him talk….. until Lani walked out of the woods bound, beaten, and gagged.

The men knew about his relationship with Lani, but that was impossible the only one who knew war. I can't imagine the pain of discovering your own twin had betrayed you.

Eden his brother was a good but weak man, and after week of hearing the stories Viktor had been spewing he's listened and believe them about his brother. That he was a monster who loved killing people, that Viktor and his men were the good one not him. He'd heard about murders near by of people being torn apart by wolves and believed his brother had done it, not knowing it was Viktor framing him.

He listen as Viktor demand Fenrir allow them to be able to turn again, something Eden know is impossible, his brother already explaining he has no idea why he continued to turn, and they didn't. When Fenrir tells them this for a second it seem like Viktor will end this and go home, but then he turns his sight to Lani.

Lani is forced again to call on the ancestor for help, and her ancestor again answer.

They agree to help but to do that they need the unlimited sacrifice. Fenrir needs to die, and his brother has to be the one to do it.

For a moment Eden look horrified, this was his brother after all. But believing his brother had become a mother after letting the wolf takes over he agree, thinking he'll be putting his brother out of his misery.

Lani can only scream, and cry and Fenrir is held down by and unseen force and his own brother stabs him in his heart. When she hears the ancestors voices telling her what to do next she wants to refuse, but knows she needs to continue for her unborn child's sake. So, with that she prepares her potion ingredient and ignores the sounds of Fenrir's heart being cut out.

Eden well after watching Viktor laugh as he cuts his brothers heart own, and seeing the eager look on his men's faces suddenly realizes he's been made a fool, and has made an awful choice and believing Viktor. He was just so scared he lost his brother to the beast, and honestly a part of him was jealous to. He too liked the strength that being a wolf gave him for the night and running wild in the woods, the only thing he hated was the crazy desire for human flesh and the pain.

Too late he realizes he let his fear and pride cloud his judgement and he's struck by grief and pain at this loss. He looks around and see some of the other leader and their pack looking uneasy too. Half of them were already beginning to doubt Viktor and he quickly heads towards them and they begin making plans to defeat Viktor.

Suddenly Lani's begins to chant for a minute before going quiet and he sees a cup being passed around to all pack leaders. A cup filled with his brothers mashed up heart and while he doesn't want to, Viktor yanks his head back and forces him to drink.

At first it's nothing then they start to turn, but this is nothing like 4 months ago it's way worse and is taking so long. Distantly he hears Lani begin to chant again before she yells out.

"You want to be a wolf so badly fine, but it won't be like you want. You'll turn but only on days like this under the full moon, and you'll feel the pain, every last second of it. Half fun you wolves your time is borrowed. I've dreamed of a prophecy that one day a decedent of the child I carry, Fenrir's child will produces a son who will be the most powerful wolf ever. He will become the King of the wolves, the Alpha of all Alphas, and will untie you all under one rule. He will crush you all."

With one last look at us she waves her and a runs off with Fenrir's body following.

Eden never finds out what happened to his brother body. Over the years as he runs into Lani she never allows him to know what happened to his brother, something Eden can't blame her for.

"Why do you care you're the one who killed him. Besides you got what you wanted you're a wolf now, an Alpha of your own pack." She'd say before running of to her hut and her son.

A son Eden never has, and probably never will met. Lani lived the rest of her life with her son with little contact with the outside world. She'd put up a protective barrier around their home so no one could enter.

She is right after all it's his fault. He let himself be manipulated into killing his own twin. Something that he never lets himself forget. Lani is wrong about one thing being a wolf is not what he really wanted. Each full moon the pain is horrendous, and he and his men turn into senseless beast usually waking up in blood on some helpless victim.

The guilt is something that kills him. The only good things he's done is taken care of Viktor and his men. It was easy to hunt them they loved their killing and go from town to town leaving bodies behind. It takes him 20 years before he and his pack are able to hunt them all down.

After he again goes to Lani and begs for forgiveness, but instead is shocked by the sight of his nephew who informs him of Lani's passing. He learns his name is Fenrir Jr, and he too wants nothing to do with Eden.

Deciding to stick around he chooses to build a home in the area and watch over his nephew. He finds a women in the village and they marry and begin a family, and eventually his nephew begins to realize his guilt is real, and after years of living alone decides he wants to know other people.

A decision that ends up having disastrous consequences.

Before he dies Viktor had a son, Damien, who's been hunting them for years wanting to avenge the men who caused his fathers death. What happens next can be described in one word, bloody.

Damien had discovered something that they didn't know. He had inherited his fathers werewolf gene and after he joined his father in human form on a kill he later joined him as a wolf. He's now Alpha of the pack and as soon as he find them he waste no time in attacking.

By morning half of each packs are dead and Damien is killed as well by Fenrir Jr's hands, who finds himself turning into a wolf too. Everyone is holding their breath wondering if he'll be a wolf like his father able to turn like he is, but days later when the first full moon is he turns just like them. He's not like his father exactly since he cant control when he turns, but he is stronger than the other wolves, and his pain at turning is lessened somewhat.

As the years go by he become closer to his uncle and with the help of a witch he bounds himself to their pack allowing them to share in his abilities, and after Eden is killed in a revenge attack from another pack he becomes their Alpha.

He becomes on of the most famous Alpha's in the history for his inner strength and how he rules his pack. He continues to try and bring peace to the other pack and unite them, but no Alpha wants to relinquish their status and he knows that he's not the Alpha from the prophecy.

A prophecy that continues to be passed down through generation and generation. Through his son and daughter and their son and daughters.

Throughout the years as his pack becomes bigger and stronger. As his pack continues to be hunted with other wolves desperate to be able to turn without pain, and hoping if they find the one from the prophecy they can use him. Rather they want to use him to take over all the pack, or to kill him to stay an Alpha.

Yeah so I looked up a version of wolves became to be and a lot of myths talk about a man named Fenrir as the first werewolf. I love this version better than the one from The Originals, where it's the Hollow who's cursed or whatever.

I was only planning on writing a little about Fenrir and his life but the story had a tendency to change as you begin to write it. I felt like we needed more info and it just pored out of me.

This is only going to be about 2 chapter so next chapter will be more about Ansel and Esther.
