In a world where a girl's desire can be looked into…
Where even the most hidden thoughts can be explored.
Within a book, a character can be related to – in many ways imaginable.
Sometimes, words in a book are enough to unveil most ideas.
What if you collect those ideas and turn them into something… more?
Maybe write it down and share it with the world perhaps?
"Shiomiya, are you okay?"
For the first time, the Capturing God, Keima Katsuragi, wasn't sure what was happening in the situation as he was about to leave the classroom to the rooftop. Shiori was somehow outside of his classroom, her cheeks fully red with her hands clutching the book as he always remembered her having.
Her eyes looking straight at his, as if she was looking in realization – something that Keima did not want to see at all.
"You…you… were you the one that…"
His eyes widened at what she was saying in a small voice. He wasn't surprised to hear her talk at all, in fact, he expected her to be more confident after her conquest. There were going to be gradual changes that do happen with the conquest targets such as Ayumi being more friendly with her, Mio being more upfront being a commoner, and Kanon being more secured about herself.
He did expect Shiori to have more confidence in speaking her thoughts out, but not like this.
"I think you are mistaken, Shiomiya-san."
Quickly diffusing the situation with a forced smile on his lips, he tried to be uncharacteristically friendly in hopes to throw her memory off. He doesn't know why she seems to remember him, which was already a bad flag all things considered.
He knows that Reality is putting him into a mess that he doesn't know how to fix.

"I…I need an explanation, Keima-kun."
Internally wincing at the –Kun suffix already, Keima doesn't even know where to begin on this one as he was sitting face to face with the already conquered librarian that somehow regained her memories. He already had Elsie frantically ask someone down Hell to somehow find a reason why that could happen.
He knew that the memory wiping was too good to be true, that was his fault in the first place. Now, he doesn't have any plans in place in hopes to satisfy the person in front of him, very apparent on finding out why he had done such a thing.
Reality is giving him more messes to try and fix once more, it seems.
"…on where exactly?"
He asked, keeping his calm face and poker-face up. He could probably do something about the situation, maybe falsify an entire story and pretend that there was a different person rather than him that did all the things. Keima needs to stall for time in hopes that Elsie could wipe her memory out for good this time if she ever gets back from Hell fast enough.
Suddenly, Shiori placed down the book that she was clutching the entire time before opening the book on a couple of pages. He leaned forward, looking at the pristine writings of what it seemed to be a diary –
- how in the world there were detailed accounts of the conquests inside?! Did she really write all of these things down and Hell didn't even bother erasing all of them?! What kind of horrible job they are doing not erasing all of the potential triggers of getting their memory back?!
Those devils are definitely bugging him out by throwing this game-breaking bug, not checking the patches if it works a hundred percent or not in the horrible game of Reality!
"…what… do you want me to explain on that?"
He played it safe and cool, thank goodness that his façade didn't break from the accurate writings that were written inside of the book. He can feel his heart beating a bit quicker, the feeling that he got found out from a horrible act. Yet, it was still an open case where it could have been everyone.
If he plays his cards right, he can definitely sway her mind and make her look for another person that isn't him.
"…the…the account of… the fact that you… you were there… and…"
Keima saw that she took a deep breath, probably still not used to conversing with a lot of people. It was something to behold from before - a person that he can read her thoughts flawless – to now that he couldn't tell what she was thinking. It seemed that she had broken from the usual mold that her type of characters has, which made it a lot more frustrating to deal with.
"…and… you gave me the courage to talk with people… Keima-kun."
"Are you sure that it was me, Shiomiya?"
Already cutting it close with an act of diversion, Keima looked at her directly, his poker face was still fully intact.
"It could have been anyone else for that matter, you know?"
"That..that is true… but…"
Her gaze seemingly intensified, his posture seems to radiate more profound confidence. In Keima's head, he wasn't sure if the person in front of him was still Shiori Shiomiya, as if it was a different person who had possessed her body. There shouldn't be that fast of character development, right?!
"But I am certain that it was you this entire time."
Thus, plot twists can happen in any kind of story –
Whether you like it or not, a direction can change at any time.
Was it always in his control?
Perhaps in another reality, he did all of those things.
But it is her story this time around.
Her story to share, her story to unfold.
And…I… will help her accomplish that.

Woohoo! Another Shiori-centric story this time, but not a one-shot! This is going to be fun for both me and you as this was made on a whim. :p
Surprisingly, writing more Shiori stuff channels the internal writer within me, making me plot quite effectively. I have a plan on how this story will go, giving it more thought over as I decided to unleash the project into the community.
Who knows? We'll probably have something till I can finally read "The World Shiori Only Knows" from xellos540? A man can dream, can he?
Jokes aside. Shout out to that man for giving me yet another burst of inspiration to plot and write a KamiNomi fic. Hopefully, this inspiration and motivation will last. :P
I hope you enjoyed it, we will have good ride folks.
