Author's note: Konichiwa fellow Otakus, CosmoK13 here. And yes I am here with a brand new story, though this will be a one-off story rather than just a bunch of seasons. A while back, me and my good friend Wolfmama played two games that were created by a channel called 'The Power of Friends Games'. They were Jacksecptieye fan games called Septicscape being the first and Soulscape being the recent. Wolf and I did a playthrough of both games and I liked them. It was interesting seeing the head canons of so many egos and the story that took place. It really felt like I got to know them way better, and it was cool seeing them as regular people rather than just characters from comedy sketches. Although, looking back at the first two games, I will be honest and state… I did not enjoy Soulscape as much as I liked.

Wolf and I played through Soulscape and at first, while the story was engaging and really helped to expand the lore and the development of the egos, there were a few problems I had with the game. Some characters seemed out of… well character, and didn't really get as much focus as the game should have given them. The lore was kind of weird and some parts weren't fully explained, like the Omitted Verse and how it was connected to the Mind scape in general. And then we find out that everyone is part of a code… in a computer. Which makes no sense because in the first game it seemed like they were just in Jack's mind… It felt too 'The Boss' for me.

Now, I'm not saying that this game is bad, or that I dislike it entirely. It did have some good concepts that I enjoyed and it was still a fun game to go through. But I do have some major issues with the sequel that I can not ignore. I'll cover it more on a later date, since I do have plans to do a review of SoulScape later on. I'm not gonna post it this year, because I already did a Septicscape review a few months back in February for Sean's birthday, but later on I promise. I had an idea for a fanfiction of this game for a while, and I figured you know what, why not just do it?! Get it out of my system and see how it goes. I don't want to completely rewrite the whole game, just a few things involving scenes with characters and wanting to explain more of the lore with the Omitted verse and Omi. Should have mentioned spoilers in the beginning, but hey, better late than never.

I also want to let everyone know that I don't think or believe my version is or will be better than the original SoulScape. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you like this better than the original game, great! If you like the game's plot line more than mine, that's fine as well. I don't want to dis on the devs and programmers' work and effort for this sequel. This is what I 'Wished' I had seen in the sequel as opposed to what we got. With that said, I think we can begin the prologue. Without further ado, everyone enjoy.

Oh, one more thing, a lot of this dialogue was based off an rp that me and Wolfmama did. We agreed to do the role play first and then go to the story afterwards. So a lot of the conversation that is being rewritten or added is all thanks to Wolfmama. Thanks so much for helping me friend, and I hope you enjoy: SoulScape revised.

Yes. I wish to continue

Yes, but I would like a recap

No

The world went black, before a figure soon appeared. A young man with brown, fluffy hair wearing a tan torn up t-shirt covered by a brown vest looked around. He had on lighter brown cargo pants and black, fingerless gloves. Behind his back were a pair of glowing, fluffy wings. His skin was peach colored, with a long thin scar on his right eye. His sockets were black with green, glowing pupils inside. He did not seem pleased at all. In fact, he appeared very annoyed.

"Are you fucking serious?" He questioned in a strong accent that sounds Australian. "I really got dragged out here to do-" He cut himself off as he sighed. "Alright. Fine. Lazy ass writers can't explain this themselves." He said the last bit as more of a whisper. The man in the gear cleared his throat before he started his full on recap of the past events.

"Anti was having some issues with his soul- Issues where he couldn't seem to experience positive emotions like the other egos could. So out of love and concern for him, Henrik agreed to create a serum that could help him. But unfortunately, the serum became corrupted, and Anti ran away as it darkened and twisted his thoughts. Anti took over Jack's body, pushing him into the Mindscape and living as him for nearly a month as an attempt to keep the egos - and himself - from being forgotten and fading away… Admittedly it was a very vengeance-fueled plan. Jack's body - controlled by Anti - was losing energy as the Mindscape started crumbling and falling without the Irishman to support it. And Anti's corruption slowly took over many of the other egos.
"Chase managed to find where Jack had been hidden and filled him in on the situation. Large chunks of the Mindscape had fallen at this point, including his world and most of Attitude City. With the help of Chase and an odd lost soul that had latched onto him, Jack was able to save everyone who had become corrupted. They learned Anti had been keeping tabs on them all from outside the Mindscape, and that he had pushed some of their corruptions further as a distraction to stop Jack, all to no avail. This all led to a battle against Anti as one last desperate attempt to stay in control. But when he lost, he knew he had to go against Jack alone. Without the others."

The man took in a breath, being reminded of that battle as he further explained.
"He- erm, I was revealed to have been Anti all along. After the last episode of Survival Hunter, I had been forgotten and was dying. And I blamed Jack for it. Which is when he-" Angus trailed off as his memory started to become… glitchy. All he could see was his creator looking down, as he became distorted. He started to mutter gibberish. "UGlzcyBvZmYu. WWW91|GRvbid0|G5IZWQgdG8gZ28gYXJvdW5kIHRIbGxpbmcgdGhllHdvcmxklGFib3V0IG15IG1pc3Rha2VzLg=="

He was frozen as he let the code play out. When he managed to get back to his senses, he tried to steer back on course. "Wh- Sorry everyone. I think the files must've glitched. Ignore that. Anyway, Jack asked for forgiveness, and in turn he forgave me for all the things I had done. And the lost soul that had been helping him? It turned out to be part of the Anti soul that I had used to stay alive years ago. With it, I was free of corruption and suddenly... a lot more stable. Jack went home after that, and we haven't seen him here since. That was two years ago now. Life has been better lately, actually. The Mindscape has been mostly repaired and the ones that went missing when it crumbled have reappeared again. But not everything was fixed, unfortunately…"

Angus turned his back as he raised up his hand, raising his middle finger up. "Okay, there was the 'super ominous foreshadowing line' you fucks wanted. I'm leaving now. Dad and Chase are gonna be picking me up for the camping trip any second." That was when the Hunter walked off, he did his part now it was time to have some fun.
