Saint Seiya characters do not belong to me blah blah you know.

But my OC Aurora/Rory does! She appears in Ice Burns, the first fanfiction I've wrote in case you're curious, check it out!

"That's it?" The raven haired woman seemed disappointed while talking with the man in front of her. "I ask you to show me the city and you bring me to a cafe? We have that in my country too. I could brew it at home."

The tall man with a loose ponytail in front of her didn't seem to bother. " Eifell tower is back there, we have a good coffee with excellent bread here, people riding bicycles on the other side of the street, ce'st Paris. Bienvenue." He replied, monotonously, without taking his eyes off the newspaper.

"I shouldn't have called you, why did you accept?" She started playing with the spoon on the cup in front of her.

He turned the page and stated with a monotonous voice. " Well, I was in the city, you don't know any french at all, we are friends. It's not like you had any other choice. You needed me."

She frowned. "My french isn't that bad, I do understand a few things"

He raised his eyebrows, sarcastically. "Sure"

She put down his newspaper just to stare at him, not very pleased.

"Right. What can I do for you, Rory?"- he sighed, impatiently.

"Let's walk a little, Camus."

The weather wasn't the best on that end of spring afternoon and she certainly stood up among the others in a navy polka dot buttoned dress, as they walked around Champ de Mars. He noticed she was shivering when the wind blew through them.

"Why are you wearing a dress in the middle of November for goodness sake?" He whispered on her ear while he promptly took off his own trench coat.

"I had no idea the weather would be this bad." She replied, defensively.

"I know you're living back in Seville but you grew up in Siberia too. How can you not carry a coat around?. That's nonsense."

" You sound like a grandfather. Living in Siberia was some of the worst days of my existence that I decided to forget. And hey, you're no fashion icon either" she murmured, checking him out.

He stopped and chuckled, remembering the old days they were just orphans in the middle of nowhere in Russia. She always struggled with the weather more than he did, easily getting sick and dreaming of retuning to her hometown.

He put his trench coat over her shoulders. " It suits you better"

Rory smiled and wrapped the coat against her body, and he noticed she got a few freckles on her cheek, probably from living in a sunny city. Since the last time they've seen each other until now she was different. Radiant. Confident. Prettier. Definitely a grown woman who could easily intimidate him although she gave up fighting long time ago. He felt his face getting hot and decided to look away.

" So, isn't Greece hot too? You're still pale" She asked, while both rested sat on a bench by the Seine

"I guess so, sometimes." He sighed " I just don't go out very often"

"Ah, typical Mr.Iceberg. Brilliant, but zero friends"

He rolled his eyes "That's a ridiculous nickname. And I do have friends there. Sort of. I told you about Milo and Shura. I'm just not very fond to fool around with them."

"Oh, your drunk friends, I remember, they must be fun. What do you do for fun, Camus?"

He could have came up with "I read and observe the skies" but she knows he does that since forever; he isn't impressing her with that. "Learning languages" also doesn't sound exactly like the idea of fun for most people . So after a long silence he decided that " I really like wines and collecting vinyls." could be a decent answer.

'Fun...I never truly cared about ephemeral things like that.' he kept thinking. Rory always make simple questions that made him overthink about.

"What do you do for fun?" Camus asked back

" I travel whenever I can...I take pictures for my journal . I annoy men like you."

He wondered how many "men like him" she annoyed so far but guessed it would be too indelicate to ask. "Maybe I shouldn't introduce Milo to her".

"Are you having fun now?''he turned to face her

"Too soon to tell. I am amused...but it all depends of how the day its going to end" she provoked, getting lost on his blue eyes for a moment. A moment where she thought she caught him gazing her lips and that maybe he was closer than the usual.

"Is this sexual tension all in my head?" Aurora thought, uncomfortable if he was imagining thing way too much about her long-time friend. He backed up and stared at the view in front of them. "Ok, it definitely was all in my head...I think"

She took a Polaroid camera out of her bag and took a picture of him, very confused and absorbed on silly thoughts that bothered him more than Physics or Chemistry which he handled like a master.

"Sorry " she said, after noticing that the camera flash made him squeeze his eyes. " But if you don't give in a little, one day this head of yours will be the death of you" She seriously added, and showed him the photograph, where he stood preoccupied.

He looked older than he actually was.

A few drops fell in their heads, slowly increasing its intensity and a thunder could be heard from far away.

" Damn...it started raining again" she said, grabbing her umbrella and handling to him.

"We're going to my house, your hotel is too far away to go right now" he said firmly, pulling her by his side to fit under the umbrella. She nodded and blushed when she felt the warmth of his body against hers, secretly enjoying it. He wasn't a very touchy person so it was kinda sudden. "God, how can someone smell this good" she noticed through the way.

"Come in, please" he showed the way into his apartment. A cozy place with not many things around. A few books on the coffee table and an old tv in the large living room. A telescope pointed to the balcony sided with small plants. A very tiny charming kitchen. A large bedroom with a pretty view from the window and a comfortable bed. Simple, yet certainly with an aesthetic touch.

She waited on the living room, sneaking the books, frustrated that most of them were all in french, when she was surprised by a tiny ball of fur rubbing against her legs.

"Hello, you cutie thing" Rory said picking the grey kitten from the floor. " Didn't know you were a cat person" she blurted out to Camus, who was in another room.

" Ah, le chat? He isn't mine. Just found it starving wandering on the other side of the street. I must find someone for him before going back to Greece." He replied while looking for something on the bathroom cabinet.

"Poor thing" she pouted, stroking the kitten's belly before it complained and she put it back on the floor. The cat jumped on the coffee table, curling up to take a nap between the books

" Here, I got you some towels."

" Merci" she smiled and dried her hair, but he didn't smile back. For a second, he felt a weird thing on his stomach when he saw her with wet hair and soaked clothes speaking french. He felt this everythime she spoke English with her strong accent and also five seconds before, when he caught her playing with the cat. He remembered feeling this during the last years they shared a house training in Siberia. Her perfume invaded his house, she now was everywhere and it made him uncomfortable on a strange way. He didn't know what it was because there was no logic correlation but it certainly bothered him somehow.

"Your coat, I mean, mine" He pointed and she turned back to him, and he helped her to take it off. 'You know she could have done it by herself. What are you doing?' He overthought again.

"Uh, are you alright? You're making a funny face." Rory asked, worried.

"Je vais bien, don't worry" the cat meowed and he came back to reality. 'You're so distracted, what kind of Athena's Saint are you? Well...it must be fatigue" he argued on his head

"I think I am going to rest now. Please you can stay as long as you need, there's food on the fridge"

" There's something going on with you, I know you for ages." She looked worried and he stepped back.

"Yes, I am fine. I think you got me tired a bit" the words slipped from his lips

She frowned at his words and hesitated, before grabbing her purse and her coat, storming out of the apartment

"I got the feeling I'm really bothering you all day, right? Why didn't you say that you don't want me around from the start" Rory rushed to the door

" No, that's not what I meant I–" she slammed the door on his face before he could complete the sentence and headed to the stairs

" You're so stupid! You think you're so smart pero es un completo imbecile !" He heard she burst from the other side of the door.

"Aurora, please!" he left the apartment and rushed towards her. " I didn't mean this!"

He didn't want her to go away. He could beg and say sorry but she's wasn't in the mood for listening his excuses, he knew her for too long to be sure of that. But he didn't want to lose her, the only person who he thought actually cared about him.

He chose to go with the surprise factor.

His thoughts raced faster than the words in that discussion, and making his decision, he grabbed Rory by the pulse and pulled her into a kiss on the middle of the stairway.

Aurora seemed surprised and confused and they both stared at each other's eyes for a brief moment. He was confused as well; he still didn't understand why seemed like he, one of the strongest saints of Athena who went through severe trainings, was bound to have a heart attack right there, that's not the reaction he predicted. Slowly coming back to reality, she pulled him closer delicately and started another kiss, this time way more intense.

He briefly interrupted "I think I was trying to avoid this"

"You shouldn't" she replied, catching her breath again. "I told you overthink too much"

He finally understood that she wasn't making him feel annoyed, she just made him remember to feel things that he had to forget while training to be a warrior. Stumbling and awkwardly the made into the apartment again. Soon as the door closed, she clenched her legs around his waist, and he carried her clumsily to his bedroom. She guided his hands and placed them on her thighs, lifting her damp dress.

He laid her on his bed and stared at her eyes, amazed by the jolt of excitement that took over his body and mind in that very moment; he wanted to say sorry for how ridiculous immature he had been behaving before; she wanted to let him know that she had been wanting for this line to be crossed for too long, but right then neither of them could even emulate a proper sentence or keep their hands to themselves.

He gave in to his instinct, realising how greedily he wanted her and couldn't wait much longer. And she never imagined that he would ever have the guts to do it someday.

"Weren't you tired?" she provoked , between kisses.

"Not at all" he promptly answered while undoing the buttons of her dress.

"I guess I'll have to give you a reason to be" she confidently whispered and got on top and took his body to hers.

Rory woke up first, turning to face the sleepy Camus and playing with his long turquoise-ish hair. He groaned, barely opening his eyes.

"Bonjour" he mumbled

"Bonjour. Tired?" She teased and he smirked, turning to hug her with one arm, snuggling in the sheets.

"Are you awake?"

"Kinda. "

"Last night I-" Rory started but Camus mumbled something at the same time

"T'aime" he murmured, with his eyes barely open

She turned to face him " Pardon, what?"

"What?" He finally looked fully awake and embarrassed

"You said?" Rory inquired

"Oh. I said Time. "Look at the time, we should eat something"

She frowned in disbelief but didn't insist, while he quickly jumped off the bed and headed to the kitchen.

He poured coffee on two mugs for them and brought it to the living room, where she waited sat on the floor wearing his shirt, playing with the kitten. He sat next to her

" We should get you a name, right?"

Camus rolled his eyes before " Don't get too attached"

She mimicked him, sarcastically. " Don't listen to him.We should get you a french name...Brûlée?

"You know that it literally means "burned", right?"

"It's cute. Everybody would understand its because of the the dessert"

"Fair enough" Camus gave up and agreed. The cat liked her and he liked to observe both of them.

" So you're Brûlée now" She kissed the cat's forehead. " Now be a good boy and let me finish my coffee"

Between sips of coffee and awkward glances, she interrupted the silence

"You don't have to worry. I know I can't get attached" she stated with a sad smile on her face, her eyes staring her now empty mug.

He knew she wasn't talking about the cat. In ten days he would be off to Greece again and she would return to Seville and all this honeymoon would gave in to solitude again.

He slowly came closer to her and placed a kiss on the nape of her bare neck. " What if I am attached? Just supposing, of course" he whispered

"Well" she started, feeling her heart jumping on her chest " I would say you should think about the consequences before acting impulsively towards mere feelings."

He smirked and placed her on the floor, playfully, and stayed on top. "Indeed. But I've been told I shouldn't overthink too much and seemed like a good advice. But it was all a supposition anyway.

She laughed. "You learn fast"

"If ten days is what we have, lets enjoy it like it was out last day on this planet" he thought, but they soon were too busy to say anything again.

Ten days had passed and it was time for him to return to Athens. Both tried to avoid talking about it. Rory knew the future was unknown and didn't expect anything else; he was conformed about deeply missing someone for the first time.

They arrived early at Charles de Gaulle early to dispatch the luggage and wait together. Aurora's flight was a couple hours before Camus' .

"Isn't your flight on the opposite terminal?" She said genuinely worried.

"I have 2 spare hours to get there. "He replied, calmly. Don't worry. How's Brûlée?" He pointed to the pet carrier she carried on her shoulder.

" I think he is a bit anxious, he is hidden on the back of the bag. Thanks again for letting me bring him and helping me with the paperwork."

"Luckily I've gave him the shots before, it made the paperwork easier."Camus kneeled to face the cat, who as curled on the back of the bag, but attentive."You'll love your new home as much you love your new owner, mon amie. Take care of ma petite amie, right?

Aurora blushed hearing it. "Did I ever say I love you?" she blurted "Because I do, since we were kids. But I thought it was platonic and we would never— "she looked around, trying to contain her tears and paused to take a deep breath

He stood up and came nearer carefully "Aurora, je t'aime très fort. " he said with a shy smile, but looking deeply into her eyes. Grabbing her hands and giving it a tender kiss, he added "It just took a while for me to understand what it was. "

"I know, you said when you were sleepy". She replied and both chuckled while he wiped her tears.

The voice on the speaker announced it was time for the passengers heading to Seville start to embark.

"I guess I see you next holiday, maybe?" she cried

He nodded " It shouldn't be a sad goodbye if from now on we'll say hello very differently ."

She agreed and gave him a last and quite long passionate kiss before crossing her gate without looking back.

He stood there for a few minutes; not waiting for her to come back but thinking that in the moment he didn't bothered to take a rational decision led him to feel more alive than ever.

Hello! I hope you're alright!

This fluffy one shot popped on my head during pandemic and I decided to write about them again, it feels good and is a nice way to review some English. ( I guess Camus will always be my comfort character hah)

Sorry for any mistakes I didn't see, hope you enjoy it and stay safe!
