A Blue Moon In Your Eyes

Chapter 1

"So you're telling me that I should not resign him?" Anna asked, completely annoyed with her sister. "Yes Anna that is what I just said." Elsa replied to her sister for the fifth time.

"Elsaaaa!", she whined. "You know him. You know how he treats you! And I don't like that." Anna said, crossing her arms, pouting and looking directly at her sister. "I know Anna. He treated me the same from when he knew I possessed powers. But he never did any harm to the kingdom did he? He has always been the best counselor of Arendelle's court. And as a new queen you can seek his advice whenever you need one. He will be more helpful to you than me.", Elsa told her with a smile.

"Wait what? What do you mean more helpful than you?", she asked her because she didn't know why her sister would think like that. Counselor Willam McCall was the man she hated most next to the '13th prince of Southern Isles' who is now disposed of from his titles and that 'Weaseltown'. She never liked him. He never liked the way he spoke to her sister. No one knew how she wished to punch him and throw him in the fjord from that day she knew his behaviour towards her sister.

Anna ran to her sister's room giggling all her way. She couldn't wait to ask her sister for a snowman! "Your highness! Watch where you are going. You'll get hurt if you run like that!"Gerda the head servant shouted at the feisty red head. "I will! Thanks Gerda….", she shouted back with a mischievous tone.

When she reached her sister's door she took a deep breath and raised her hand to knock. But suddenly she heard her sister talking with someone else. 'Wait who was that?', she thought, confused and curious.

"I still cannot believe how a witch and a sorcerer can rule a kingdom which bears Aren's mighty sword." Anna went furious when she heard those words. She just wanted to crush him with the portable rock crusher that her sister showed to her yesterday.

"Neither do I counsellor. But it's not my fault for being the first born. And I still don't know why I bear these powers.", she replied calmly. She replied calmly! Anna wanted to hit her sister's head with a knuckle for replying calmly.

"I see….. My father always told me that murderers, thieves and even psychos are made, not born. And I believe that you became a murderer after the birth of her highness right? And that is why you 'nearly' killed her twice? Are you still planning to kill her with your 'beautiful' powers Your Majesty?" That man! She didn't know who it was. But she felt her blood boil in her veins. Even the great Aren will be brought to knees by seeing her anger.

"Counsellor it will be nice if you don't bring my sister in this conversation", this time her voice was bold. And Anna felt the room temperature reduce. "I'm not bringing your sister into this conversation Your Majesty. I'm wondering how you are living guiltless with the actions you have done to your sister. Don't you think that it itself will make you step down from your throne?" That's it! She took the flower vase which was kept on the table near her.

She took a few steps aside and shouted. "You son of bitch!", and threw the vase. The vase hit her sister's door making the sound echo throughout the castle since it was night time. She heard a chair being pushed away and then she saw her sister open the door, her eyes filled with fear and confusion.

"Anna! Are you okay? Did you fall?" She felt her sister cup her cheeks. But her eyes were glued with anger towards the man who told those things to her dear sister. Councilor Willam McCall. Before she could open her mouth to open she heard a familiar voice shout with fear. "Your Highness! I told you not to run like that. Did you hurt yourself?", she asked her with pure concern.

"I'm fine Gerda.", she managed to smile. "No Anna I'm not leaving you like this.", she saw her panicked sister. "I'm calling the physician.", she couldn't help but nod with a sigh. But she will never forgive the man who was standing there unsure what to do.

"Oww! Anna please leave my hand…. You are squeezing it too hard!" She was brought to reality by her sister's cry of pain. "Oh! I'm so sorry I'm so sorry!", Anna apologized to her rubbing her sister's hand and hoping that would ease the pain.

"Ok now, what was I talking about? Oh right! You were telling that he would be more helpful than you! How can you say that? Why would you think he will be a better advisor than you? You are my sister. My family. I will always come to you seeking your advice. No him!" Anna said with a frown, still having her sister's hand with her.

"That's the problem Anna. We are a family. And you know what families do. They always try to keep their family happy by hiding all their sorrows. Even when they speak with each other, they omit their love by swallowing their sorrows and sadness with them. This is why you must seek advice from people who have much experience with the political issues like Counselor Robert, General Mattias and even Counselor Willam."

Anna started to lose her temper when she saw her sister still supporting that man. "You have experience too Elsa! Weren't you the former queen of Arendelle?"Anna asked her, adding pressure to the idle hands she was holding.

"Yes Anna I was the queen. But I never did everything on my own. I had the council with me. I had you too. I always thought thrice before I did something. And I tell you Counselor McCall really helped me with everything." Elsa told her with an assuring voice.

"You think about everything except me of course.", Anna muttered. "Huh?"

"You think about everything except me. First for thirteen years you shut me out. You never thought how it would blight me. Then after the thaw you promised me that you will never shut me out Elsa. But you never kept that. You were still keeping secrets from me. Again you never thought how it hurt me. And there when we went to Northuldra you pushed me away even when you promised me that we'll do that together. You never thought anything about me! You just always think about yourself!" She saw the hurt in her sister's eyes. But she didn't want to stop. She just wanted Elsa to know everything.

"You just wanted you to be free from the curse. You wanted to be relieved from the mysterious voice in your head. Did you know how much I was hurt when you pushed me away? You died Elsa!" Anna started to tear up. "I was there alone. Olaf was gone. I was there alone. Why? Why did you leave me like that? Why do I have to be like this!"She said crying. She saw her sister lift her head up. Her eyes were red. But they weren't filled with rage or anger. They were filled with guilt.

"Anna.", her voice was hoarse. Anna winced at that. She cleared her voice. "Anna. You are wrong. Of course I thought about you. I thought about every minute. That is why I obeyed every word from mother and father. I believed in them that they would save me from the fear. But they couldn't. I'm a coward Anna. I just didn't have the courage to tell you everything. I was scared, Anna. I was scared about how you would react. Scared of how I might hurt you. I went in there to protect you." Elsa said tears falling down her cheeks.

"Protect me? We all know how it ended Elsa.", her voice cracked. She didn't know why but she felt all the hatred towards Elsa. She just wanted to tell her everything that hurt her. But she knew how it would break her sister's heart.

"I know.", her sister said with a sad smile. "That is why I never told everything unless you asked me. I am a mess Anna. I never do anything right. Especially when it comes with you. That is why I always shut my mouth for most of the time. I pushed you because I thought about you Anna. I pushed you because I thought that you would get hurt. How am I supposed to bring you with me when I was one who nearly killed you twice? When I was the one who saw you nearly dead twice?"

"And I don't think we saved the kingdom alone." , she chuckled dryly. "A person like me is a useless fool. Even when I had the powers of ice and snow, I brought nothing but destruction to our kingdom. But you were the one who saved everyone. You were the one who brought me back to life. Not me. I killed you twice but you saved me. A bridge has two sides, remember? And I told you that we did it together. Don't you remember?" Anna saw Elsa's tears falling freely down her face. She just wanted to wipe them away. But her hand wouldn't move.

"I'm sorry Anna….. I'm sorry that it was because of me this happened. I'm sorry that I am not a good sister to you. I'm sorry that this has happened to you. I don't know that you would forgive me for this but...I'm sorry.", Elsa did nothing but apologize to her little sister. She saw Anna's eyes. They were filled with tears. The more she saw them the more guilty she felt.

Slowly she made her way to the door and pushed it away and turned to her sister. "I'm sorry Anna. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for taking care of me like a mother. And I'm sorry that I brought you nothing but pain.", she said stepping out of the door.

She looked at her sister and said,"Please don't think that I'm shutting you down. I just need some time alone. I'll be just gone for a while. Please... don't worry about me. Keep Olaf with you okay? I'll meet you next Friday."

And with that she left. Anna saw that the door was kept open when she left her. She just wanted to run to her sister and hug her with all her love and ask sorry for what she had said. But again her body was stiff and it wouldn't move. She fell on her knees and started crying. She could still hear her sister whispering with a heartbroken voice. I am sorry Anna.
