NOTES:
I'm not a professional writer, so please expect some typographical and grammar mistakes as English is not my native language. I wrote this because their story is nowhere to be found and I'm craving to read more fanfiction about Kirinmaru and Midoriko only. Enjoy reading!
1.) When did you know you were attracted to me?
2.) What's the best way to turn you on?
3.) Can you describe the most exciting dream you've had about me?
4.) Without touching me, can you do something you think will turn me on?
5.) Where is your favorite place to be kissed?
Midoriko tried not to laugh as she read Kirinmaru's strange flirty questions. The message was written on a piece of paper and placed next to Daiyōkai's white dog-shaped mask. Who'd have guessed that considering his seriousness, the Beast King has a hidden naughty side?
When Kirinmaru felt the urge to say something to make her laugh, he managed to write her a naughty message on paper. Maybe he sensed her sadness as he expected to leave.
Kirinmaru will leave the palace tomorrow afternoon, which brings sadness to Midoriko. It was late at night and she still couldn't fall asleep. She had been distressed in bed earlier.
In their three years of marriage, this is the first time they will be apart for a long period of time because Kirinmaru will travel away with his allies. The Lord of the Eastern Land needs to accompany and help his friend Toga to eliminate the rest of their opponents.
Midoriko was unwilling to let her husband join in a battle, but she did not interfere. She knew she wouldn't be able to stop Kirinmaru from taking that decision.
The woman immediately placed the letter aside and slowly rose from the bed. Her eyes were sad when she stared at the entire room. She'll be missing her husband while he's away from the palace.
It was late at night then, but her husband has not yet returned to their room to sleep. She decided to check on Kirinmaru so she immediately donned her white satin robe and then walked away from the room. When she finally left the room, the woman was even more surprised when Zero showed up in front of her.
"Where are you going, Priestess Midoriko?" Zero asked rapidly. Her dark green eyes focused on her.
Midoriko knows that even if she's married to Kirinmaru, Zero still doesn't like her because she's a mere mortal. The female demon was only forced to live with her because of Kirinmaru's order.
"My husband hasn't come into our room yet, so I need to find him." Midoriko doesn't want to get into an argument with her, so she decided to avoid the female demon. "I'm sorry, but I need to go."
The priestess immediately left Zero and kept looking for her husband. She did not even bother to look back on Kirinmaru's sister to know how she reacted to her avoidance.
She walked another few minutes to reach her husband. Until she saw him in a room together with his allies - Konton, Kyuki, and Totetsu. They had a serious meeting when Kirinmaru saw her.
The three companions of the king also looked into Midoriko's place. When they saw the priestess, they immediately bowed as a sign of respect for their king's wife.
"This is the end of our discussion. I want you to leave now. " Kirinmaru's command to his allies.
"Yes, Master!"
When the three demons left, Midoriko immediately noticed that her husband was walking towards her. Even though he seemed tired, Kirinmaru still managed to smile at her.
"What are you doing here? Why are you still awake? " Kirinmaru asked. The Beast King delicately touched his wife's soft hair. He instantly felt better when he saw Midoriko's beautiful face.
If there's a voice that guarantees your heart to race every time you heard him, it would be Kirinmaru's voice. Hearing his deep, manly voice makes Midoriko's skin shiver.
The priestess stared directly into Kirinmaru's dark green eyes. Until now, she's still sad because her husband will leave tomorrow. She was wondering what it would be like if she were alone. And aside from that, she's a little bit worried about his elder sister too.
She frowned instead of answering the question of her husband as she recalled the letter he had left with her.
"What did you write on the paper earlier?"
Midoriko's reaction made Kirinmaru laugh unintentionally. He could see the redness on his wife's cheek as she stared at him.
"I just want to make you smile, my dearest. That's it." Kirinmaru's response with a suppressed laugh. He embraced his wife slowly and lightly kissed her on the forehead. Kirinmaru enjoyed Midoriko's floral natural scent.
"You are pure nonsense!" Midoriko responded awkwardly to the beast king. She couldn't encourage herself to smile because she's still thinking about her husband's decision to join in a battle with Toga. "I know you're tired. Let's go back to our room."
They held hands when they walked back into their room. Kirinmaru noticed the awkward behavior of his wife and he definitely knew why she was acting like this. Midoriko didn't want him to get involved in the battle because she is worried that he will encounter some kind of tragedy.
When the two arrived in their room, Midoriko went to the table and took the bottle of wine. She poured it into the glass and gave it to her husband. "Drink it, first."
Kirinmaru still confused but he accepted the wine. He had no idea why Midoriko handed it to him. "I was under the impression that you didn't want me to drink this."
The priestess just smiled at Kirinmaru. She gradually pulled her husband into their king-size bed. "That's totally fine, my dear. Since you're leaving tomorrow, I'll let you have the wine."
Before he talked to his wife, Kirinmaru sipped the wine. He needed to bring up his situation with Midoriko in depth. "Tell me, are you still upset about my decision? You know how necessary it is for me to face this battle, don't you?"
The words of her husband made even more saddened for Midoriko. She appears powerless to overturn the king's decision. "What else can I do? You already know that I'm always here to support you no matter what happens."
The beast king was very pleased with what his wife said. Midoriko's kindness means a lot to him. She is a definition of perfection. He was not entirely mistaken for the woman he married.
He couldn't help but caress the right cheek of his wife. Kirinmaru was overcome with emotion as he gazed at Midoriko's lovely face. "This will be the last time I'll join the battle. I promise you, I won't ever leave you after this."
The priestess simply agreed with a nod. She took Kirinmaru's hand and slowly kissed it. She's probably going to miss her husband's touch. If she could only do something to stop Kirinmaru from leaving.
Kirinmaru put the glass of wine on the table. As he watched his wife, he couldn't deny there's a sudden heat that soared through his body. Every touch of Midoriko's soft lips against his skin turns him on.
"What do you want me to do to help you feel better?" he whispered. His dark green eyes darkened with lust.
Midoriko approached her husband with a shy expression on her face. "I-I'm not going to lie, of course, I'm going to miss you. And... "
She came to a halt because she couldn't think about what she wanted to do tonight with her husband.
"And...?" He asked as he traced the outline of Midoriko's lips with his thumb while looking into her eyes.
Midoriko let out a soft chuckle. She was a little tense when her Daiyōkai husband traced her lips seductively. She gave Kirinmaru a light tap on the forehead for teasing her. Her husband is a freaking tease!
"What are you doing?"
"Why?" Kirinmaru questioned innocently. He got a wide smile on his face.
Midoriko's face shifted to a more gentle expression. She immediately hugged Kirinmaru, feeling his body pressing against her. "You make me feel so worthy by showing your care and concern. Thank you for being my husband. I love you. Always remember that."
That warm message from his wife brought joy to Kirinmaru's heart. Every day seems like a blessing since he met Midoriko and her presence pleases his mind. He feels so lucky and honored to be in love with her with all of his heart.
"Do you still find me attractive despite my appearance?" he suddenly asked. He realized he didn't look good because of his hideous scales, so he used to cover his face with a mask.
The woman sent him a brief glance as if she didn't like what he asked. Midoriko gently stroked the right side of Kirinmaru's face with dragon scales, then she kissed him lightly on the lips.
"Stop talking nonsense. You don't need to be excellent to feel and look beautiful, my dear. Your every flaw is perfect to me. I love you for being you."
Kirinmaru was unable to speak because of Midoriko's words. She always taught him that no matter what happens, he has to keep pressing forward. She knows all of his imperfections yet still she chooses to stay with him. She always radiates positive energy and it's like her life mission is to make him happy.
"Every single moment I love being your wife and I have no words to explain. You are simply the definition of a perfect man..."
Midoriko paused for a while as she pressed her body against Kirinmaru. She managed to enter her hand inside Kirinmaru's lavender clothes as she reached his abdomen and moved her hand up to his chest, over those smooth lines of muscle. "I'm thinking about kissing you again."
Kirinmaru groaned in satisfaction. The beast king was even more fascinated by what he had heard, but he remained calm.
"Then, do it..."
Her lips tilt in a seductive grin because of excitement. Midoriko quickly wrapped her arms around Kirinmaru's neck and gripped his red hair, pulling him closer.
And they kissed passionately...
